TO THE FUTURE COUNT OF REINMAR

Recommended Posts

Vladimir Barrow var Ruthern could be seen approaching the Haeseni docks, donning an entirely black garb. Coming across a blonde haired, blue eyed man, he came to a standstill. The shaking figure asked, "Who are vy?" In which Vladimir replied, "Vengeance."

Within the walls of a secluded room, a young man grips the missive between his worn palms. Muttering beneath his breath, his mind flutters back to his lineage. A bastard, a lost cousin to his line.

"Purpose." He speaks, Simonei Barkov moving forth to press himself through the doorway, emerging out into the cool Haense air. Simonei rattled down the steps, abandoning the Barkov at his back.

"A Son of Ruthern yet."

Klara Elizaveta squints. "...He apologized to Sibby and Erika. That's all Ea care about. Though Ea wish he'd have spologized in person for insults said in person."

Dietrich looks at the glass chambers under Reinmar, which held the secret to their fast reproduction. "What do you say, Konstanz, shall we activate the vats again?"

Meanwhile Ruther's kin engaged in a campaign of bastard legitimisation to compensate for their weak numbers, (making many-a tavern wench happy in the process) a Metterdenish conscript, ignorant of the fickle nature of his relatives poured the Baron of Sigradz a cup of the finest Pruvian Port while another threw the switch that would possibly activate such vats.

Gunter Barclay pulled off his helm as he finished teaching his beautiful wife, Matilda, some lessons in Waldenian pike drills. As he did, a courier dropped off a few packages, including the most recent utterances from the Rutherns. He read it over quickly and sighed. "My dear," he said to his ravishingly beautiful wife, "this is the discourse of the Anathema sympathizers. I wonder if the Ruthern manor in Oren we visited was abandoned because they were being entertained in Vidaus."

Ivan var Ruthern prodded his heir, see, told vy it was wise to leave! I bet those thick-skulled Waldenian scum were scratching their beards wondering where we were!”

"Funny, because we DID take our men into Imperial lands. Into Kovitz in fact, where your traitorous relatives live. The ones you invited to invade Haense.

Then we only went to Vidaus after your kinsmen led us there.

Ah, but let not facts disrupt the cactus-green addled ramblings of a lecherous whoremonger. Just enjoy wagging your tongue before it's ripped out."

says Adelmar!

"that old ruthern marshal was barely about... went on holiday for about four years too. funny fellow..." bishop viktor rambles "awfully strange too, that they would cooperate with the enemy one day and call for more violence against them the next to suit their purposes. Disgraceful too that they would suggest they hold power over His Majesty's right to elevate and demote nobles, a foul and... almost treasonous suggestion." viktor waddles about a bit, before raising an eyebrow "twenty? the legal conditions of the haurul caezk demand that those involved must be of noble, legitimate descent not bastards... they don't have twenty born of noble, legitimate descent! ridiculous, it seems the lord speaker has forgotten the law of the land"

The encounter with the unnamed Waldenian remained just as imaginary as the marriage between Vladimir's parents.

"Raevir peasants in the Outlands are getting uppity," Sir Daris Verethi explained to the Salvian sailors and the Whalers upon the Victory of Ceru, moored off the coast of Almaris on their latest intercontinental patrol - the men were fond of Outlander drama, particularly the latest missive, as Fausten utterly lacked such a type of petty excitement, owing to its lack of Ruskan serfs.

He exchanged an amused glance with his compatriot and captain, Sir Helsuren. Both, as elves, were old enough to remember that the Haeseni kingdom of the Outlands partially owed its independence to the Sutican Motherland, whose Waldenian, Alstreim king led a coalition that weakened the Sarkozic empire the Rutherns had been subservient to. Another Waldenian king, in his saintly glory, had also interceded on the famed Ruthern marshal's behalf to ensure a Canonist victory at the Rhein. Daris had fought there, in any case.

"Wouldn't it be funny if the Incorruptible King manifested again?" @argonian
