Sir George Obediah would laugh out loud at this "Outrageous!" he exclaimed in excitement "This is just bullying at this point!" he said, and gives it another laugh before taking care of the Obediah Company.

The Kingslayer, Sir Apollyon Jaime Marshall sits at his desk running a whetstone across the blade of his sword as he stares up at the shattered lance hanging above the door. "It seems that old friends do not remain friends" He says solemly before standing up and sheathing his longsword before heading to the palace to await Acre's response.

The town of Petra was a quiet one, surrounded by thick woods, and swaying wheat fields. Autumn breezes crisped the air, and the folk of the town and country milled about in their little day to days, living the life of a ruddy agrarian folk. Life was small, simple, and happy. There, of course, was some rowdiness from time to time - but nothing too wild. It was ordinary folk, living ordinary lives.

The ultimatum posed by the Southern state of Balian stunned the residents, assuredly. Fifteen thousand Minas in a country that didn't even use gold anymore? Four provinces stripped away, some to be occupied by heathen dwarves? A Forced election, 'supervised' by foriegners? The dismissal of the Duke?

The people here could not possibly hope to meet even the first demand. While it was true, a disasterous little sport of bother had been given to Balian by the Acreians - the ultimatem affected the whole confederacy. It was a nation of rural farmers, in isolated towns - agaisnt five world powers.

Was it fair?

Cliff finished painting his shield, taking a long puff of his pipe.

I reckon I'll be needin' the pipe as much as the arms, the Acrean thought to himself as he made ready to die.

Henry von Halsfield's expression reveals the dismay he was feeling upon learning from a servant the demands that both Balian and Urguan had issued to Acre, "It is of no surprise to me that the haughty swine who reside within Balian feel the need to make such ridiculous demands, but for Urguan to do the same? I expected better from those within Urguan's leadership .. they're acting no differently than how the Empire acted decades ago. As long as imperialism exists in the world, a lasting peace is unattainable." His words were quickly followed by an angry shake of his head and an alcoholic drink of cheap quality.
