In those very ends of her life the thoughts of Dame Cirilla of Karosgrad, Ciri for her friends, went out to those she loved, those she cared for. Her eyes stared off into the distance, the ice, the woods. She looked up at the night sky, counting the stars as her life slowly ended.

 

She had so much more she wanted to see, to do. She had plans for Haense, for herself, for her future. They would only remain plans, mere ideas, inside the head of that young woman. Without a doubt an ambitious, young woman, murdered by that very own ambition.
