The citizens at the time were brought with great discomfort at the hand of the aforementioned instability that had inevitably prompted their timely departure in pursuit of new lands. Prior to the departure in question, the movement for reform and a more prosperous legislature had occurred as they originally sought to remain with hopes of altering the qualms they bore and provide a seam of stability that the state had momentarily lacked. The monarchists faction in which the Celian’s originated, would stray from the likes of peace as the tension between the groups caused too great of an eerie sentiment of suffocation and dire unease upon the citizens to the extent that the travesty of combat arose. With this atrocious state of conflict the city had succumbed to the likes of the devastation at the hands of the civilians, from the opposing factions including an incessant flame that had engulfed the land in the midst of the distressful mayhem. The traditionalist group sought a means to promote their cause in a different world, leading to the birth of the Haelun'orian Resistance which had acted against the former Monarchist league. This counter-rebellion, fueled by arson as formerly mentioned and political extremism the monarchist side had started, led to the allies of the new government supporting the rebellion. The Ibarellan loyalists, along with other allies, secured peace, although it was to no true avail as guerilla tactics and a lack of rations that followed the events, led to widespread starvation on the Silver Isle. The government evacuated elCihi’thilln and placed trust in Ivarielle Ibarellan to guide the populace to a new home. From there they went on a journey, later referred to as, “The Great March '' by the Celian people. Once they had arrived in the lush woodlands of the east, a local ‘ame ally aided the refugees as they sought to procure a starlit sanctuary upon which they would later erect their own settlement: Fi’Andria, the City of Stars and Embers. The Rise & Fall of the identity of Celia’nor Through the sheer toughness of these new residents of the west, amidst trial and struggle over a seemingly endless frame of time, and from exile to peace, came about a will of mighty valiance shared amongst the people of the newly founded civilization, whom were prepared to endure and conquer any threat they may face in effort to preserve the prosperity they has so desperately procured for their new city and principality. It was in this time of relative peace, that the greatest aspects of what defined the being known as Celia’nor, rather than just a former state of its motherland, was attained through its unwavering endurance as it continued to develop at a rapid pace. Amidst what some may refer to as the new age of nobility, the royal talonnii was keenly established, with the line of Ibarellan rising to authority as they bore royal relations under Her High Princess Ivarielle the First. At this time, many Talonnii’s of upstanding stature were appointed to the privilege of nobility, their status rising in the ranks whilst they rebirthed the ancient tradition of noble power through elite Talonnian. Alongside said development, the city bore a keen relation with the likes of Magic, resulting in the founding of the grand Academy of Celia’nor. Which retained its existence as the center of magical pursuit and education within the realm of Celia’nor, and largely to the remainder of the western world. With intentions to expand its guiding arm of knowledge across the whole continent to educate a new generation of magicians and sorcerers, the academy flourished with grand ease. Later, in firm belief of Celia’nor’s sovereignty, and a universal desire to fight for her territory and goals, the establishment of the Military, once remembered as the Celiadiraar, came to redefine a new understanding of traditions born within Celia’nor. As history recalls this era had been where militarism became not only the duty of the capable, but the duty of all. In which nearly all citizens universally voted for such as encouraged by the Princess for a fresh military under their origins. This establishment enabled all capable individuals, regardless of race or gender, to serve during times of utter duress, making for the first universal draft of Celia’nor. The mandatory service, as mentioned, had permitted the likes of all men and women to join within the ranks of the Celia’diraar, and enable a sense of deep intertwining between the concepts of militarism and culture as both acted as one in the same for the people of Celia’nor. For many years after the tale of development, the nation prospered in truth until Ivarielle’s sudden disappearance, yet despite the momentary dismay, her brother, Illarion, swiftly took the reins amidst the frey of confusion and led the nation to even greater heights. His reign was turbulent as he expanded the nation vastly and strengthened it to the height of its development as historians recollect. Unfortunately after nearly a decade, the great Ibarellan’s health declined, leading him to pass on the treasured land and its title to another as he could reign no further. Receiving the crown in light of such unforeseen circumstances, was Ivarielle’s Sister-in-law, Valyris Wynasul, wife to Indris Ibarellan, who led in her husband's stead. Her reign too was successful as unlike the expansive ideal Illarion possessed, Valyris’s contributions were primarily that of cultural development which had improved the public's identities ever so thoroughly. Yet, much to the dismay of likely herself and the people of Celia’nor, the end of Valyris’s reign suffered drastically as disaster struck the land: A Voidal Tear that had laid dormant for decades, unbeknownst to the public, had erupted the Palace and the vast land surrounding, causing widespread eradication and destruction to the nation whilst without a modicum of peace, great harm trailed in tow in relation to its international and internal reputation. Many accused Valyris for the downfall that followed, prompting talonniian such as the Ranaleth’s sudden departure. The Mori invasion that followed soon after only made the situation more dire. And in Camp Savoy, the Celian Nation was dissolved, leaving those few Celians who survived the catastrophe to fracture unsure of what to call home. A New Beginning After some time, the likes of five Celian Elves who had strayed from their former land sought to reignite the spark of their once Celian Identity, although this ideal primarily encompassed that of the culture they so dearly cherished. Along their pursuit of such, the gathering had inevitably settled to establish a pleasant winery resembling their forgotten land within the ever so graciously welcoming realm of Lurin. Per their settling, the aherals would find comfort in deeming a title for their beloved winery to be then known as, “The Starlight Winery''. In time the populace would later inaugurate a compact village to be made, presently surrounding the winery’s being, as an influx of those they once held dear began to accumulate alongside them, bringing about a sentiment of remembrance. To the surprise of many, even the once thought to be dead, Illyria Ibarellan, formerly appointed heir of their former land, trickled within their realm once more, only to be met with joyous greetings and welcomings by her people; yet she did not press any claims to leadership. Those in authority of the winery during such period were hasty to present the Ibarellan an offering of leadership in an effort of restoring their once treasured monarchy of the Ibarellan. Subsequent to this ideal, lengthy discussion ensued before the Ibarellan restoration of power was procured by the proposition’s acceptance by Illyria, leading the entity of Celia’lin to continue in prosperous identity within the Silver Lubba’s lands. Yet, as they grew in substantial numbers, their land became more sparse as it soon became apparent they were in dire need of erecting a proper town for themselves once more just as their ancestry had. Realm Government Structure Explanation: The core to the Celian people is the Ibarellan Dynasty, which has ruled them since the vitality of Ivarielle nearly a hundred years ago now. They bear a strong belief in monarchism and as such, have an absolutist state with one of the Ibarellan as monarch at its head. The monarch, whatever title he or she may take, thereon establishing councilors to take certain departments such as the treasury, military, event management, stewardry, diplomacy, the arcane and whatever it needed at the time - at the Monarch’s disposal alongside the aid of their nobility. Capital Builds (photos required): How does this settlement offer a unique niche not already found in an existing polity on the server?: Firstly, the difference of polity that we offer the playerbase, regardless of whether they reside within our group or not, is our transcendently varying views in comparison to other High Elven communities. While still holding the belief that High Elves should not intermingle with other “lesser” races, we can not be equated with the likes other High Elven groups such as Haelun’or, Talar’nor, etc, for our culture does not bare similarities in the sense of stern upholdings in the majority of situations relating to such ideals and grant less of an ill begotten stigma towards the races of others via openly intermingling without hesitation towards the other races and permitting many within our ranks despite their non high elven nature. Although, Celia’lin does maintain the High elven standard to a modicum of sorts by only permitting the likes of High Elven individuals within their supreme ranks such as the roles of councilors, officers, and so on and so forth, aside from Royal Advisors. The strict rules of purity & Lariheis philosophy are simply something not all care to roleplay in that depth. Alike to the Haelunorians the Celian people has maintained their own philosophy deriving off their former land, “ilMaehr’sae ilkun’ehya”, meaning “with knowledge and steel” in ancient elven. Secondly, another matter that differentiates our identity greatly from the other High Elven communities, is our group’s keen pursuit of knowledge relating specifically to the arts of the Arcane whilst many place hefty restrictions on those who are to be deemed Mages. It’s only under the circumstance where grave devastation may be caused at the hand of the mage where Celia’lin may place restrictions, but none have been implemented thus far and shall not unless like previously mentioned, it becomes a drastic occasion in need of attending to similarly to the Voidal Tear from prior historical tales. In fact the entity of Celia’lin encourages their citizens to explore the realm of the Arcane and attribute a great sum of their development with the likes of benefiting those who do become a participant of magic. Thirdly, while many have noticed, the delicacy of Wine and Vineyards have grown to be an integral substance regarding Celia’lin’s identity, for that is how they first paved their existence into Aevos initially. The people often participate in large gatherings or even with only the company of their singular mind in journeys of being a merchant to sell their land’s delectable artisan Wine. By doing so they’ve developed a network of rapport with the likes of Petra, Aaun, Lurin, and so forth that has left them in an abundant standing as a result of their pursuit to spread the artisan culture they so dearly cling to. By establishing this culture as well, it has expanded the realm of jobs in which we are able to offer and create an entirely new branch of career their characters may fulfill, which tends to be the majority. Aside from sharing their wine by traveling about to foreign lands, the Celian’s often hold festivals in relation to the variety of wine they bear which can include, berry picking, berry bobbing, wine dunking, and wine sampling. While this may not even be all they possess among the likes of their festivities, it’s merely a summary of the Vitality their artisan beliefs provide. Lastly, just as their forgotten ancestry had, which is no longer present in the realms of this day, the specific architecture offered by the Celian people is their blindingly apparent purple roofs, accompanied by their varying white to egg shell tinted walls. This aspect of their structure certainly defines them as it is truly a trait that no other has explored, and in earnest allows an individual to identify Celia’lin’s identity without having ever entered it. How does your settlement tie to the greater lore and narrative set by the community on LotC?: The Celian people derived from the splinter group of Haelunorians and the formerly known as Celia’norian’s who supported Ivarielle’s claim during the Aheralic Wars, which does primarily offer a substantial surmount of history and culture throughout the likes of Elven history. In addition Fennic immigrants and many unaffiliated High Elven families/ individuals are encompassed within our group as well. As of now whilst writing it, whilst summarized, our history as depicted is nearing the age of two years, and has seen the rise of a Malin’orian federation and many other alliances, wars and minor conflicts that were aforementioned in the depiction of our history, as they symbolize grand events, especially for the likes of High elves. As a group primarily composed of a great deal of voidal mages, we commonly interact with lore pieces with relation to the likes of Voidal magic and the Arcane arts, although, there is truly an indefinite amount of magical lore compositions we, as a community of voidal mages, do interact with. An accurate yet notable depiction of an event in which our playerbase encountered a distinct event relating to voidal lore was when the last Celian group on Almaris famously blew up through the explosion of a voidal tear. Have you ever run a settlement on LoTC before and what experience do you have with leadership within roleplay communities among the current groups of players?: Yes, we have. SailorBTY has led the Celianorian Military as a Councillor among the other councilor positions she had fulfilled during her time in Celia’nor. While VoxyNoir has been NL of Celianor, Marshall of Adria, Marshall of Petra, and currently acts as the Marshall of Stassion within Aaun, not to mention his participation within guilds, and going as far to lead large families that are active until today such as the Cerusil, which SailorBTY had lead following Voxy’s reign of the noble family. Laeonathan has been a councilor in Celia’nor in different positions and has been leading or co-leading several smaller groups such as families, guilds, and CA-Groups such the Kharajyr on Almaris, the Mitzuul Grove, the Celiadiraar, and the Silver Phoenix Society. Outcook has acted as the NL of Sedan and led vassals like Mardale that has also led several active families and other groups such as the Dracos. Donutxlla (InsideCooked) participated as a councilor not only within Celia’nor but Talar’nor as well and has been actively hosting events whilst helping lead a small Celianorian vassal referred to as Paradine. PinkSkies0 has been a nation leader on a different server known as FRP, while Moping_ has been one of the original founders of Celia’nor as well, helping it greatly as the first military commander and roleplay group leader. All of these people named have helped build the current Celia’lin vassal within Lurin and aided in developing it as an active group that now has grown beyond the capacities of what a vassal can offer for us. Do you understand the metrics for maintaining activity and the grounds for settlement removal, along with the standing polity cap? Yes we do.
