TreeSmoothie 4898 Share Posted October 14, 2023 Spoiler – ☀ Published the 20th of Tobias’ Bounty, 1946 ☀ – ☀ AD AUGUSTA PER ANGUSTA ☀ Through Difficulties to Honors ouse Galbraith, in their lengthy history of conquest, trade, and merchantry, have amassed a great collection of jewels and other precious artifacts. Inspired by Lady Liridona Amador and with her blessing, a catalog of some of the Barony’s finest treasures have been compiled to truly showcase our blessed heritage. ☀ Headpieces Gem of the South A regal crown once belonging to the Duchy of Cathalon, reclaimed and refurbished soon after House Galbraith took reign of the Duchy in the late 1800’s. Nested in the brilliant golden arches are rubies and topaz of the late House Helvetz’ colors, yellow and red, from Kaedrin alongside smaller pearls imported in from Aeldin. It was worn often by Duke Charles Antonious, before he had his own crown for his Duchy commissioned by an illatian artisan. The Boar’s Eye A crown belonging to the Duchy of Rivia, commissioned by Duke Charles Antonious Galbraith after a particularly successful campaign to conquer surrounding nobles. The crown’s gemstones are composed of rubies from the Duchy of Cathalon and the Barony of Oakmont, with its center being the very first Ruby mined from Rivian land decades prior. Smaller accent diamonds from their holdings in Kaer Coch & Rippelburg are dotted along its sides. The Boar’s Eye is commonly worn by Galbraith patriarchs during important ceremonies, such as weddings and other high-class events. Most recently, it was worn by Baron John Augustus during his bizzare debute in the Symposia Pragma, featuring a fake horse who proceeded to cartwheel and throw glitter in the faces of other nobility, adding more ... controversey to the item. Bellatrix a Coronae A simple golden tiara worn by Victoria Augusta Novellen, thought of as the most plain of the Novellen’s circlets. Victoria was a humble Princess, and wore this as a symbol of her brazen and warlike nature – the very reason she married into the Galbraith name. The Legate’s Laurel Golden laurels embedded with small pearls from the Balian coast, worn by Baron John Augustus Galbraith on diplomatic missions as the Kingdom of Balian’s Royal Legate. Quite plain, they represent the same as his grandmother’s tiara – embodying both humbleness and victory. ☀ Other Jewels The Stone of Istria A lustrous ring, many centuries old, with an expensive ruby in its center. It was the first gemstone pulled from the mines of the Duchy of Istra in 1529, near the end of the ‘Bloody Baron’, Duke Titus de Sola’s reign – hailed as an Orenian Kingmaker & powerful General. This ring is typically worn day-to-day by Galbraith patriarchs, a truly magnificent thing. Adelines’ Tear A silver necklace with a sapphire of the highest quality hanging from its chain. Commissioned by Emperor Philip I 'the mad', it was given as a consolation gift to his Empress, Adeline of Savoy, after the death of their second child Augusta Maria of Oren, Queen-Consort of Countre. 3 years after this gift was given, Emperor Philip I detonated the infamous Thanium bomb that destroyed his Empire's capital of Johannesburg. The Lost Jewels of Illatia A ring showcasing a magnificent array of gemstones from the lands of Illatia before it fell. In the year of 1725, this ring was made and purchased in Helena of the Empire of Renatus, and is thought to be the only remaining of its make and kind. Diamond Runic Ring A ring bearing ancient runic carvings and a splendid diamond from the Imperial mines of Kabergard – the body forged with silver from the same location. It’s unknown what the runes mean or who the ring was originally for. Pontian III’s Silver Cross A several-century old Cross of Lorraine, blessed by High Pontiff, Venerable Pontian III in the city of Helena. Rarely do such artifacts surface, and thus only on rare occasions is this heirloom worn – the last time it was seen in use was during the wedding of Baron Carles Galbraith & Lady Irena Ruthern in 1912. The Imperial Coin Collection A several-century old coin collection, created with the aide of Emperor Peter III and minted by his esteemed treasurer. Few, if any other coins, survived the travel across various continents – yet have been kept in Mint condition by each Galbraith patriarch. The Twin Drakes A pair of drakes borne of Baron John Augustus’ work, representing chaos, liberty, & bedlam and Order, method, and logic respectively. They belong to John and a close friend, Rhys var Ruthern. Bracelet of the Drake A magickal cuff gifted to Baron John Augustus Galbraith by an unnamed mage, sporting the house’s signature gemstone and silver from within the Haelun’orian mines. The Prince’s Chalice A chalice once owned by Prince Henry Charles of Alstion. Not much is known of its origin, nor why it was gifted to House Galbraith, but it has been kept with care. IN HOC SIGNO VINCES Signed, His Excellency, John Augustus Galbraith, Baron of Cascanova, Patriarches de Galbraith, Ward of the King, Secretary of Diplomatic Affairs, Royal Legate.
