Java17 1184 Popular Post Share Posted April 28 Spoiler Who Will Save You From the Depths? The chains of the abyss rattled, and the moment was at hand. A thought lit in her head, almost four-hundred centuries of battle, and now, had a lapse of judgment wreaked havoc in her mind… For she stood against a demi-god, the daughter of the Aengul of Order, “Sol Invicta”, at the behest of the Arch-Drakaar, Azdromoth. The rising of a sword… And it’s downward motion, unredeemed. A horrifying display of a skill of the muscle, one most pure, instinct, had sent her upward, and to the gravel. Thelia’s eyes moved to watch Sol Invicta, as she came to watch her, sprawled upon that dreadful gravel soil. “Who…? Who would save me from the Depths?” she asked, with a dying breath. “Let me return to the forest.” said the mali’aheral, as visions of her childhood underneath the trees’ shade of the Dominion flashed through her eyes. “You shall not go anywhere, except for the depths of this Abyss. Peace shall enlighten your soul.” The demi-god replied. Thelia's head, subsequently, was taken as a trophy. And thus, she was no more. Thelia did not leave any letters. “For death is terrifying, yet we are drawn to it like a moth to a flame, for it is life.” Art by “Frostbite Studios”. OOC: Spoiler So! The end of Thelia’s journey, on-going for a few years now, truthfully, there was nothing overly special about this particular character, it was the journey that truly made her enjoyable to play. Thanks to everyone who played with me over the years, all the memories made it super fun and unique. And thanks to the ET for their hard work and @ScreamingDingo for a death I could only wish for.
LordofCabbage 178 Share Posted April 28 (edited) "All that lives must die, or it was never alive in the first place." contemplated a weary traveller sadly as yet another comrade of yore passes on. Edited April 28 by LordofCabbage
NotAPan 472 Share Posted April 28 Ysolm held with him a blossom of flower, spreading it then to the sea. "Rest well, friend."
Traveller 2460 Share Posted April 28 Ardromiath sat beneath a tree in Tor'Praeth; armless. Leaves fell from the tree above, sticking to that bloodied stump stuffed with a rag. He sighed. A single drip, a drop, a tearlet, or what the Nephilim was capable of, streaked down his face: a brilliant orange. A student lost in the pursuit of RUIN.
ToddTheArchitect 191 Share Posted April 28 KAIROS, the injured forever-Herald, limps to his room and slams the door, collapsing unto his bed, his right arm missing and hair lightly burned. Passing out once again, he'd remember the death of Thelia within his mind; watching the woman who he spoke to before, the wise Elf, be impaled by that of a Demi-God. The Herald he spoke to only hours prior, dead. The Fire within him is fueled once more.
FlemishSupremacy 5063 Share Posted April 28 Elathion sat in the halls of Tor'Praeth, pondering the lack of Thelia and her curiosity, her questions and her intelligence. They had lost a fine herald today, and he lamented the fact that he could not bear witness to her completing more of her journey.
Laeonathan 4224 Share Posted April 28 Raziel Amethil stared when the news of the death of one of his oldest friends reached him... His mind reached for their first meeting more than a century. Yet the void filled him. He cried not, he just stared. "They are all dead."
Mr. Etan 2947 Share Posted April 28 A once child of the titan with his flame now sundered looked out upon the fields of ash - he did not know the herald well but he gives a moment of silence for the lost comrade with a fist to his chest.
Toffee 1248 Share Posted April 28 By pure chance, Illynora Sylvaeri came upon another elf from the era of the Dominion of Malin within the streets of Númendil. They had struck up a conversation and a blossoming friendship, the kind that came from reminiscing on centuries-old memories. She would never know what happened to Thelia, only that their paths had never crossed again. In the mind of that elder elfess, she held on to the hope that Thelia was out there somewhere, roaming the continent, and they would see one another again in another century, another lifetime.
Baccaaa 75 Share Posted April 28 (edited) Uriella Amethil received the news after she returned from the siege of Caladras to home. She learnt of the news of Thelia's death. She said nothing, having recently been made her squire, she wept, more than family would expect her to weep. For her short life Thelia had been there for almost all of it for her and now she had left her a squire without a 'master' . . . She has some foolish hope that it isn't true, but it doesn't change reality. A week or so later, Regina finds out about the death of Thelia aswell. "It seems even the seemingly never withering elves can perish early. . . Vanaylayla my curious elven llir, I hope the heaven's gates welcome vy, despite what has been stated about heaven these past years." The woman in her 40's now says and a small prayer follows, as she gazes at the stream of water in Beznov. Edit: typo! Cozy_Tea 110 Share Posted April 28 "Left and right, forward or backward...Everyone we love dies.." she said with a bitter tone, clearly upset to hear of the news of ANOTHER known soul now gone. "May the stars and the moon welcome you, friend," whispered Llora, tears running down.
