HugoAntero 1962 Popular Post Share Posted July 7, 2024 THE DEATH OF PETER STROHEIM The Passing of a Family Man Spoiler ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The tale of old Peter Stroheim was supposed to be a short one, yet he lived on miraculously. He was not the best swordsman, or the best fighter, but he somehow managed to live to EIGHTY-NINE! During this eighty-nine years of life, Peter had accomplished a few things. He had risen from the slums, to castles. From a meager peasant, rose a Knight and a Templar, who took his duty quite seriously! Peter could often be seen doing a ‘Templar-Trophy spread’ to his fellow Templars such as Shugo Kato Oijin, @Reckless Banzai Screamer, Sigrun Stonehammer, @xMuted, the Missus, @AstriaS, and his brother. @Shadow2k . His final count? NINE. During his life, he was quite pleasant. Though in age, he grew bitter and sour. His old self, a sweet man, still seeped through a hard shell, though not often. There is naught more needing to be said that has already been said. He was a man, a Templar, a Knight, a warrior. And most importantly, a Family Guy. His family is what he kept close, even till his death. He looked his daughter in the eyes during his final moments before turning to dust, his SOUL being consumed by Malchediael. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Peter’s death began in the streets of Reinmar, when he asked his daughter @beetle to go fishing. And so they did, in the swamps! Within said swamps, Peter rambled on about the different types of fishing. Fly-fishing, trolling, casting, noodling . . . After what felt like hours, a gaggle of SIX evil’doers attacked Peter and his daughter, catching them off-guard! Such a fierce bout left Peter on his back, a FLESH-GOLEM pressing down against his helmet with fierce force, his daughter being pinned and her life-force sapped. The attackers, Funnybone and his Necromancer, @Trey @creamynoteblock had the two on the ropes. Until Peter, the courageous Templar, uttered the name of his Patron: MALCHEDIAEL, THE AENGUL OF COURAGE. Peter was endowed with the raw power of one of Malchediael’s blessed, and so the Aengul spectated his bout, HEALING his wounds and severed limb! With his newfound power, Peter vanquished his foes! Peter had crushed Funnybone’s skull, and stabbed the necromancer, before he looked toward his injured daughter. Peter spared a final smile and a goodbye, before he faded to dust, his SOUL getting eaten by the spectating Aengul. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Spoiler https://imgur.com/a/retep-ZNj6zqS ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ THE FOLLOWING LETTER IS SENT TO QUENTIN BRAE @Shorsand Hello, You are receiving this message because you are the primary life insurance provider of PETER STROHEIM. Barbarus 1232 Share Posted July 7, 2024 Robert Stroheim found himself in his manor, standing in the empty room of his oldest friend, more son than brother, having raised him up to his level from a pink tag noob, and watched as he outshone him in accomplishments, and renown. There was jealousy there, the bite of envy, but pride too. An awful, sucking ache pulsed in his chest, as if his heart had been removed and replaced with nothingness. He sagged, staring blankly at a spot in Peter's room, and remained there for hours. There was no pride anymore. He had outlived his son.
beetle 3315 Share Posted July 7, 2024 It was supposed to be an ideal day for fishing. But it took a turn for the worse. Blades were drawn, blood was spilled, limbs were ripped. And yet, Peter had overcome the battle, tearing into the undead until they were gone. His victory came with a cost; the princess stood there in shock as he had faded into dust, nothingness. As if he never existed. She sat there for a while, weeping. It went on for hours. Days. Weeks. Perhaps he’ll return, just another trick of the undead. He was fine, right? “They’ll think it’s my fault.” The princess was always blamed. “You let him die.” Her mind was not so kind to her. “You’re no Stroheim.” Nor was she an Arthalion. And so she stayed, waiting for his return until she couldn't no more.

Benleft 2581 Share Posted July 7, 2024 "PETAAAAHHHHHH!!! NO!!!!!" Monjaro the Oyashiman templar cried out into the night sky. Hopefully Peter would hear him over the sounds of the great hyperwar up above.
juliaINC 592 Share Posted July 7, 2024 (edited) Isolde von Kanunsberg visited Peter's old forge. Same as she did for the past thirty years each afternoon, be it to share the freshest piece of gossip from around the city or to seek advice. Servants had already started to empty the building. Isolde stayed at the forge long after the servants left. She sat on the ground, in the weak heat of dying fire from the furnace, once dancing lively around metals Peter shaped into intricate weapons. The dim light reflected off a crinckled poster with a jolly "Wer Rastet, Der Rostet" painted across, that she was clenching her fist around. She shed a tear, got up, and walked away. Reckless Banzai Screamer 15456 Share Posted July 7, 2024 "See you in the Hyper-War, old friend," Shugo Kato pledged. Machiman deserved only the bravest to defend the Heavens and Celestial court.
Jaslaw 602 Share Posted July 7, 2024 "Another outlived old man, huh?" *Mused the haenseni wood elf as he read of the familiar names passing. Musing as he thought about such* "May he rest in peace... But he outlived multiple weiss generations like myself so cant exactly say his life was shortlived." *Chuckling quietly at the last words... yet with a respectfull bob of his head finishing* "May he rest in peace. Despite not knowing him well, shame to see a familiar name pass on."
Aimy_lol 429 Share Posted July 7, 2024 Eimelín stared in shock of the missive's news bringing a solemn feeling within herself. A family member, whom she had only a few times, has fallen and rose to the seven skies up above. She dipped her head and sung a hymn, passed down in her family for generations for the dead, as a way to pay her respects to the man whom she has heard many stories of.

Morphine 823 Share Posted July 7, 2024 Sitting in his top floor office of the Sturmweber Company Ltd. building, Roland von Wesenburg reserved himself to that room for a few hours. Through the recollection and the mourning, he managed to accept his grief and press on. While in the latter half of Peter's life he wasn't as close, the two were still like brothers in their youth. If not for Peter, Roland would never have defected to Minitz during Heinrik's rebellion, and not be the noble and Kanzler he is today. He owed all of that to his friend, now finally put to rest. He grabs a scrap piece of paper and writes an informal note, inscribed with the words '100 mina' on it.
FadedMoonlight 450 Share Posted July 7, 2024 "...Hah..." The shut-in of a wood elf, Mariola Sturmweber sat upon her windowsill as the news was spread across the city of Kretzen. She knew it was to come in time, but nobody was prepared for the cruelty of grief. Her leg swung back and forth as tears began to form in her eyes. It was over, the life of King Peter, the one who had been so kind to her in her youth, was over. And she felt a piece of her follow him into the grave. As tears streamed down her cheeks, her mind recalled the times he would tell stories to her by the fireplace in Minitz. A better time.
hopey 364 Share Posted July 7, 2024 The chestnut-haired woman brimmed with glee, unable to battle her rising grin. Delightful, she poured herself a glass of wine and hoisted it skywards in triumph. Some crimson poured from the rim in her overzealous gesture. "Thank GOD! Aevos has been BLESSED!"
