To the People of Ravenmire and Descendant Realms,

 

This saint’s day has brought something which Our realm has strived to avoid ever since its reintegration with the Holy Mother Church - Violence. Today, a band of men of Aaun donning the colors of Enswerp rode into the Duchy of Blackworth’s capital city of Illation and, without thought of what their actions might bring, demanded the capture of Tiberias van Aert, a man who had come to visit our lands as a guest and made further threats towards His Majesty the Sovereign’s life. When ordered to leave by the Duke of Blackworth, the men of Aaun instead drew their blades and attacked the men of Blackworth, thus starting an altercation which left Sir Yao of Ravenmire, a long-time friend of His Majesty and one of the longest serving Ravenmirian Knights, dead. Furthermore, the heir to Blackworth, Baron Constantine Leopold Haverlock, was dealt a severe injury. Only through great effort, the men of Blackworth drove out these Aaunish invaders forcing them to flee from our lands. Even so, the damage has been done, and Ravenmire will no longer allow foreign powers to walk upon its sovereignty unanswered.

 

THUS LET IT BE KNOWN: 

 

We within the Government of Ravenmire hereby condemn the actions of the men of Aaun. We furthermore condemn Charles II for sending forth these assassins to do harm unto the guests and subjects of the Ravenmirian crown. Henceforth, all Aaunish troops are to be removed on sight should they be sighted within Ravenmirian lands and, should they refuse, be removed by force. The death of Sir Yao of Ravenmire as well as all injuries dealt to the people of Ravenmire shall be responded to ten-fold, for we shall be a nation that will no longer take insults lightly. The Kingdom of Aaun has made its decision regarding its stance towards Our Sovereign nation, and we shall not stand idly by.
