FREEDMEN AT LAST

There was the fast sound of a horse’s hooves in the Northern countryside, accompanied by a goliath of inhuman posture seated at the top of the great mount, his powerfully built legs clinging to the wild beast as it jaunted for the Haeseni capital. All the while, the Orcish warlord lowered his spear – the wretched teal high-density boomsteel point of The Gaelbolt

The Rex kicked his stirrups and raised the horse on its hindlegs, the Orc’s towering posture leering down with barely contained blood rage as he bore witness to the Daelishmen within the Haensepinkies’ square.

He offered them one warning from his squared jaw beneath his helmet, “YOU STAND BEFORE RHAK’DOM, GORTSLAYER, AND FORMER TARGOTH TO THE KHAN OF KHANS. THESE ARE MY TRIBUTARIES. BEGONE!”

Unfortunately, the Daelishmen did not accept the warning, and the Daelrex was knocked down not long into the fray, before the fight relocated to the Haeseni Hinterlands. Daels drowned, stabbed themselves, and grew engulfed in the quagmire.

Once the outlaws perished, the beast of a hulking abomination lowered himself from his steed in the square, lifting his great spear up in triumph. A notice was soon put forth by the Rex Rhak'Dom to all who would seek to attack his tributes.

The Uruk fights for pride and honor. Attack any of my tributaries, and you shall be met with Dom, Gorkil or Raguk steel. Keep attacking Albania as you will, for they do not pay me, but if I am in the lands of the Haensepinkies, you'd best be prepared to deal with myself as well.

Pay tribute and earn the honor and companionship of the Uruks. Attack our tributes and be met with our boomsteel. All who do not pay us tribute, await the coming of our blades and brawling, as we feast upon your meat and scavenge from your coffers.

SO SAYS RHAK'DOM, Gortslayer, Rex of Lurak and Targoth to the Khan of Khans.

Jan Radovanic restrung his bow. He was a man of the book, not the blade, but for the Daelishmen he would make an exception.

Haakon of Sólgaard was not present, but he thought to himself that Jan Radovanic would be amongst the heroes of this era, for those who raise to the circumstance and necessity of the vulnerable-flock are the truest and purest souls, those brave and selfless like this man of books, who was likely going to be immortalized in many books during this generation.

"I can't believe I missed this."

Duncan Baruch stood beside the Oracle as they watched one of the Daels slit his own throat. They had tried to bring the man in alive, the Canonist thing to do even with lowly bandits such as these, but he had chosen the coward's way out instead. He said a quiet prayer for the man, then congratulated Josef on his three dismounts as they marched their other prisoner to New Valdev.

The Lady Palatine saw now, the truth of the matter. Her son's restoration had reignited the flame of the Haeseni--the Daelish would know fear, so fearsome did her people take to defending their home of the Highlands.

Aleksandr Barbanov-Bihar drew a few short breaths; he had landed strikes and blooded his blade, but not taken any lives. He was no great warrior. It was fortunate his compatriots were many, men of talent and strength, and they carried the day.

Nadya Weiss CHEERS -- albeit disappointed to have missed the fight, she was deeply proud of the victory nonetheless.

Struan Barr was the only son of Daeland to return to the keep that night, and for that he drank. He lamented the betrayal of their Uruk comrade, their subsequent demise at his hand, though plotted his revenge nonetheless. "Daeland shall be free, but not tonight."

The Ard-Ri of Daeland reflects upon the massive L that he took this day. Alas, the Daelish are not yet defeated. They shall regroup, rearm, and strike again - perhaps with a bit more strategy the next time around.

Viktor var Ruthern raised a triumphant glass topped to the brim with Shiller: High Life [Select]. Letting out a hearty laugh as he realized his stumble on a bramble bush caused more cuts and scrapes than any of the Daelish filth faced in such a trivial skirmish.

Jarad Mah'nel would read over the missive that was hand delivered to his desk "Splendid news from our allies! I am glad the dealish failed in their raiding once more"
