ISSUED ON THE

16th OF THE AMBER COLD IN THE YEAR OF 226 S.A.

SENT BY

EMBER MAH’NEL

To the Council of Celia’nor

Betrayal. That is the only word that remains. You have betrayed us, fully and finally. For years, we have endured. For years, we have stood by you, lifted you, defended you, and given you what few others dared: loyalty. But loyalty, when one-sided, is nothing more than servitude. And we are no one's servants.

We forged the bonds you now seek to shatter. It was we who reached out, time and again, to our allies across the realm, even as your name was in tatters. It was us who worked to mend the shattered bridges, to soothe wounded pride, to reforge the dignity of a nation that had forgotten how to stand on its own. When others mocked you, we gave them reason to reconsider. When your name was whispered in scorn, we answered with honor. Yet, each time, you took what we offered and twisted it. Each time, you spat in the hands that raised you.

Your final act, this betrayal, you seek to do to Haense what you once did to Veletz. A repetition of treachery. You approach allies not as friends, but as pawns. You spin lies, sow distrust, and weave ambition into ruin. Not only that, but you smile in court, then plot in the dark. This is not leadership. This is not strength. It is cowardice clad in velvet robes.

One of your own has exposed the truth. One in your council, one who bears your name, has told us, has asked us to help. Asked us to coup your crown to get you out from the war. But we say nay. We will not aid in mending what is broken beyond repair. We will not betray our allies in which you seek to do. Furthermore, we will not be complicit in the falsehoods you have built your power upon.

You claimed to be the Elven Empire. A grand title, spoken loud and proud, yet you rule like a child with a broken crown. You denounced the Principality of Caurost as false, when it was you who could not uphold the principles that define true nobility. You called Haelun’or facist, only to turn and mimic the very shadows you accused them of hiding in. Furthermore, you claim Norland to harbor evil do-naers and to be coming to conquer Celia’nor, yet they make no move against it. I have spoken to the High Prince and the King of Norland, they are not the monsters you paint them as. All the while, you schemed. Not with us, not for us, but behind us.

We are not blind. We have heard the whispers, seen the motions passed in hushed chambers, felt the tides shifting beneath our feet. For all our efforts to protect this house, you undermined it. For all our sacrifices, you chose ambition over alliance. Now, you would have us smile and bow as you drive the dagger deeper? No. We say no more.

Sol’Helious will no longer serve a realm that devours its own. We will not remain under a banner that regards honor as inconvenience and loyalty as Luxury. We will not be complicit in a regime that manipulates, vilifies, and discards those who gave it everything.

So we give you two options.

༻⊰───────────────⊱༺ ⠀𖤓⠀༻⊰───────────────⊱༺

OPTION ONE

Cede the lands around Heliuos (Tile_Midlands_39) to the Mah’nel Family in full. Let us depart from your den of deception with dignity and peace. Let this be our final exchange, clean and bloodless, and you shall hear no more from us beyond the borders we shall claim.

You may also keep your barn with the locks transferred to you should you pick this option.

༻⊰───────────────⊱༺ ⠀𖤓⠀༻⊰───────────────⊱༺

OPTION TWO

Refuse us. Deny us what we have earned. Know that we will meet you on the field, where the truth is spoken not in words, but in steel. We will defend what is ours, what we have bled for, built, and buried kin beneath. We will fight not for revenge, but for the future you have made impossible to find beside you.

Valindra smirked from behind a goblet of Visaj red. This revelation didn't surprise but most certainly amused.

An Okarir'tir of Haelun'or, casually talking to the citizens of ElCihi'thilln, today was a day of rest, he and his soldiers had harassed the Starlanders a bit too much lately, their message has been sent, and now they shall reap their rewards. Of course, that was all to be interrupted when word had finally made way that Helious had rebelled.

"Celia'nor loses in the field against our finest warriors. They do not sally out whenever we've a hostage of their own. They can not even defend themselves from losing their throne, and now? Now their vassals are in open rebellion." The Okarir'tir snickered, he would go and find the Sohaer, and some of his men. "Look at what we have caused."

Siofra scanned the missive, her lips pressing into a thin line as her eyes traced the familiar handwriting. A heavy sigh escaped her as she reached for a fresh sheet of parchment, dipping her quill into ink with practiced precision.
“They are no family of mine,” she muttered under her breath, the words barely louder than a whisper as she began to write.

"CRACKS FORMING..." pondered Enrique as he stared at a section of the Numendil trench around the capitol city.

Sa'Cozamozilin reads the missive, her nose wrinkling in disgust. "They've lied and overexaggerated in their past missives- this one trusts nothing in this one either. She wishes those involved luck.. but they've shown they're no family of this one." She tosses it to the side, heading to the aviary to pen the letter to renounce her Fi'smaa'd name.

I just wish to mention, I hold no hatred towards the cnor community, I may disagree and not like some of the things they do. But they are their own people. I have many friends I still care about outside of this conflict. SO I hope this is all fun rp in the end. My dms are open for communication.

Siyala caresses the head of her little daughter Ren "I already once allowed the nobility of Celia'nor to trample on my family, I lost my father, my mother and my name, this time I will not hide, I will not run away, this is because of my parents and for the Quav" she kisses her daughter on the forehead while leaving her in her crib, goes, grabs the sword she inherited from her father and smiles showing her fangs

A Sillumir Wizard made merry with his men in the tavern of Tahn'miar, musing with great sarcasm, "How EVER shall these rebels defeat the Celia'Diraar's grand army of eight hundred soldiers?! They must be quaking in their boots!"

Through laughter, the Wizard toasted. "Let us wish our best luck to these rebels, men, and might they taste freedom."

Languid, honeyed eyes drift along a papyrus manuscript, illuminated only by the amber glow of a candle nearby. They'd flit to the title after a moment of hapless skimming.

CELIA'NOR IN CHAOS, CITIZENS REBEL

When Galahad had learned his birthright and state had been denounced by the Horenic Covenant, it had filled him with such contempt that he went on to order retribution the next night over a table of wine and venison among his council. Over time, this contempt dwindled with the likeness of a dying flame, until it became difficult to parse anything but pity. It was like beating a dying, wounded hound who had devoured the livestock, an act so void of dignity that to proclaim triumph in such a thing almost feels like a vice itself.

He could rest easy knowing Celia'nor would not survive this war, and even easier knowing he'd not be the one hollering from the eaves victory of such pitiful, pathetic ruin.
