Valerius Montalt figured he could finally die happy, so as not to be robbed of the greatest pleasure of his life, he fell upon his own sword.

At last, the Empire had returned, and Mankind would be restored to its dominant position as a global power.

"God, do not take this one good thing away from me."

And then he died with a smile.

4 minutes ago, Velkuzat said:

Helena wiped the sweat from her brow, sitting back from a desk covered several feet high in papers - petitions, templates for the laws written and to-be written, the like. She looked to her husband, Ledicort, with an exhausted smile. "We're so back."

An Archchancellor sits similarly at his own desk. "We're so back," he echoes, and drafts a letter.

“Ave Imperium. God save the Emperor and Empress from all evil and shield all the realms of men.” Lorelei stares at the candle flame. “The blood of the dragon runs strong and true.”

An aged Mali'aheral read the missive in question as he sat perched high atop the plateaus of the Lowlands, overlooking the now Imperial city. He gently folded it, and placed it within his robe.

Kalador then thought of his old friend.

Audo. The man who died amongst dragons.

"It seems the age we were promised has finally come to pass. Though, I would wager it was not in the fashion we expected." Chuckled the elf wistfully.

"Time will only tell what these great men fashion with agency and ambition, old friend."

He then rose to his feet as the wind swept his whimsy to another direction. Further west, and so he continued on.

Princess Mattea of the Petra slept through the announcement. It wouldn’t change her life much, anyway. It wasn’t as if anyone had say or as if they’d been asked for an opinion, so why should she trouble herself?

”Interesting,” she uttered, unsurprised and disinterested.

Sirius Mareno, Grand Knight of the Imperium, knelt in eternal oath to the Imperator. The dull aches of the scars littering his body felt suddenly insignificant. "To a future ruled by the greatest among men." He bid.

"Who could've seen this coming?" Treemma snorts toward the missive.

The Countess of Rosemoor, sitting within her room in the keep of Lotharia, exhaled a bitter laugh. “How funny that they claim to unite all of humanity, when we still have not bent our knee to their foolish and tyrannical ways.” The Princess then cast the news to the wind, returning to her business. GOD ******* save humanity.

"Humanity seems intent on repeating it's worst mistakes." Comments Azrubel.

" Father, you who painted this world canvas in beautiful colors, why do they use your name to paint it these lands in garish, cold gold? I see no smooth lights of the lanterns in this, that guide the many paths to you. Just a blinding, burning fire to consume all, just engulfing a road away, away ... not to love, but to many pain. We will prevail, no monument, not even an empire will last long." would pray a lone administrator at a wall with a beautiful rose flowers painted on it.

"This will be interesting - and fun, hopefully."

Arthur murmured, a smile on his face.

“How fortunate.”

“How admirable.”

An Ílumrin spoke amidst wind, one that casually brushed through their Capital of Ivory. With no war to fight, despite anticipated, he sheathed that silver blade of his–then steering his circlet-bound dome lower in rest.

And now, to fix the cracks of Elvendom.”

Yet respects were nothing without lament of his own following swiftly behind. Nonetheless he studied the rise of Burgundy closely; perhaps they too could learn from the just, newfound Empire.

With a trembling hand, the missive was crushed within the Princess Royal's palm.

Her heart sank, guilt rising - her family's work, gone nearly instant

How could her brother do this? How could she let this happen?

"Ironically, for all it was, Canon Law was always in support of EMPIYAH, though it makes sense they mean to wave it away now,"

Bishop Godfrey mused, having read the declaration over in his comfortable and cozy residence at the Monastery of St. Rhosyn.

"The laws of GOD said one thing, and the church administration and this rabble another. Thus, to them, it proved a liability."

Then gone to sigh, and redirect his attention to prayer. For the Church, wider Canondom, and the SUPPOSED virtue and faith of this new Empire.
