Embers makes me think of... well, embers.

I can't imagine paying someone in "embers." It just doesn't work to have it the same as another fairly common and completely different word.

I like embers, but I prefer Minas to stay. It would be a LOT of work switching all shops and banks to embers. +everyone is familiar with Minas, so let's just keep em.

I like Denari, as posted above by Florisher. It has a great ring to it, and some great lore could be brought up around it (say, the largest goldmine in this area was originally the den of an ancient being named Ariel or something). Also, while I loved the name "Minas", I do believe that there should be a representative change in the currency to go with the traveling to the new land.

*Is curious why this forum is still going on, we have been in Asulon for 10 years now and people still call the currency minas.... I don't see how it would suddenly change names unless the mina suddenly lost all value. Which considering it is a "world wide" currency is unlikely to happen.
