Well it would be cool if you could add move craft and have an awesome ship that went to the elven lands...

Movecraft = LAGG!

We need a way to quick-travel places. To get to the elven lands, you have to go across an ocean. Perhaps make a Boat-System Ferry across oceans. We still want people to travel on roads, but other ways of transportation may be ideal.

I agree with Mylas. For Oceans you can make a ferry that costs x amount of minas. Swimming across 300-500 block oceans is painful and unwanted. As for land travel walking is fine

I like this, only issue is finding good locations for these boats.

I WANT GROUP FAST TRAVEL. And I have an idea how.

All the players in said group must be completely still in a 5x5 block radius. No other players must be in a 30x30 radius of them, at least BEFORE the 20th second of the teleport activation. TPing with the group should be like soulstone, but the casting time should be 60 secs. Just my opinion.

Yeah, Fast-Travel should be implemented. Something like boats with racial things connected.. still thinking :s

EDIT:

I APPROVE THE GROUP TRAVELLING SYSTEM.

I love it although it should have a long casting time so it can't be abused in RP PvP

I love them, and the far off wilds is great.

Because... RIGHT when you get into the wilds, LANDSCARS LANDSCARS EVERYWHERE. Floating trees, dirt homes, unfinished farms... it's pretty damn crazy out there. If you bring it closer... it'll only bring the landscars, and ugly dirt homes closer.

I guess the fast travel system COULD WORK...

Although, since there isn't any MAIN TOWNS, it's a bit hard to find other people sometimes, but towns like Renatus, or Alras, usually have some people in it 24/7

Considering the shape of the continent, actual boats work very, very well, and no mobs attack you. It's the way of the future.

I really like traveling and voted "its not large enough" [longer distance for more roadside taverns] I think we really need more roadside taverns and they need to be rpd in aswell [just saying due to ghoast roadside taverns].

And for the few rp situations, I think its also part of the beginning, when the capitals are up [fully] there will be lots of more rp for sure.

Maybe remove cooldown time for soulstones when you first login and die plus give everyone 1 /setsoul and donators 2. Also allow all users even if they have set their soul to also use it to go back to their capitol city.

I for one, like the system the way it is. Donators have no restriction on /setsoul at the moment, which suits me perfectly.

For instance, Haelun'or is remodeling, and so my house was destroyed to be rebuilt somewhere else. Since that block no longer means anything to me, it doesn't make sense to make me only have one more /setsoul.

Also, soulstones will just lead to trouble if you reset the cooldown every time you log back in. 10 minutes isn't that bad.

Your other comment, about letting people use a command to return to their capitol city, is a good one however. The people in the same race generally have a similar playstyle, so it would be very easy to find people to rp with.

Probably the best way is to bring back boats, with increased prices, to level out their use. Nations must then build their own docks and ships, and pay the monks for passage? Keeps them rare this way as well and not as easily abused.

I think the problem could very easily be solved by implementing a better system of roads. For example, I spend most of my time at the elven capital, and yet I have no clue of how to get there without Soulstoning. Also, the Elven capital is very confusing. I know it needs to be dim but the light level now is way too low to get around at night. It needs to be more like the old Lauralin.

I like the idea of a ferry. This would allow us to fast-travel but still could be limited by a price system, have it that ferries only travel at certain times, or maybe a combination. This would also create coastal cities which would have a tactical value in war and trade. Doing this could add a whole new aspect to the game-play.
