I love it when people pass my boat on their way too and from the elven lands. my boat is named ~The Last Nova Cast~ but I often find people who are lost and hungry on the open waters so I invite them aboard, after deducting they aren't pirates, and into my little captains quarters where it acts more like an inn for the weary. I call it...

~The Reel Inn~ (easter egg)

its like a fishing boat but instead of catching fish, i catch tired sailors.

in all. I prefer to not have fast travel boats.

most all of the docks and even land, near the cloud temple/elven starting camp, allow you to place your boat in the water. I use the those docks to get to my boat.

I meant the eating animation takes 10 seconds, that was an over-exaggeration but you still have a lot of time to hit the person eating.

doesnt make a difference if they are wearing diamond armor, and it is still powergaming, you dont just eat a steak in the middle of a fight....and all of a sudden your wounds are healed "HUZZAH".....like if you were in the middle of fighting ganondorf, he is almost dead and you have your sword charged, he charges up his magic.....and out pops a dining room table with three course meal, and he expects you to wait while he eats....navi just says "HEY!"

As i am relatively new to the server i know my opinion carries little weight but if i read correctly on the wiki there was racial magic to get back to your city and i for one would love for it to be reintroduced.

For the food issue I myself am a farmer and would not change the 'no food = Death', but I do understand that many cant afford food at this time and die off. I don't know if it is possible but you could make it so that when you are starving your stats are nerfed. Such as your Wood-chopping you could have a base stat of 50 but when starving it can be cut to 25. Again I don't know how you would implement this but it would keep the food business healthy and those who can not afford food could still do work, but with a little more effort.

I don't know if this Idea has been put forward yet, since I'm not going to read through 3 pages to find out, but How about a fast-travel system allowing a certain amount of Fast-travel credit's per day. Say 10 a day?

Depending on distance from Temple the costs would be higher to travel there? Having Fast travel stations located around RP hubs aswell?

Stations could have a crudely made wagon outside, like Skyrim's system.

I like the Boat idea, Boats where a cool thing in the old map we should bring them back, but yes with the price.

Well I for one would love a fast travel system.

The following are a few ideas of mine:

Transportation Methods

I. A possible different way to fast travel to each nation.

EX: Dwarfs= underground tunnels ((trains, not minecarts))

Humans= Carriages

Elfs= Boats

Alras= Hot air balloons

Orc's= Unknown

Ideas About Fast Travel

II. These are just some ideas of how the fast travel

1) You can only fast travel at certain times. EX: Major destions such as a nation the transpiration might happen more often. Lets say twice a day one in the morning and one at night. City's part of a kingdom might happen once a day or every few days.

2) I think every nation should have one fast travel point automatically. A town part of nation has to pay to be able to have fast travel. City's on there own should pay more for fast travel.

3) Fast travel should only go certain distance. I personally enjoy walking some, but not thousands of blocks. Fast travels be a few hundred blocks from a city.

4) A limit on fast travel. Like a cool down, maybe the same wait as the soul stone

5) If a nation would like I think they should be able to have a direct fast travel. But both nations must agree and spend money for the fast travel

Ideas About Traveling

III. These are just some ideas about traveling in general

1) There should be water ways connecting nations in which you can place a boat and there are directions to get to your destination. Also stops along the way. This provides for taverns and boat houses, etc...

2) Some how there should be mob control in which a player will be able to control where the mob goes. The mobs would have to travel at a faster speed then a walking person.

Conclusion

These are just some of my ideas. If you have any questions or ideas feel free to reply to this or p.m me. These are just some of my ideas, I might update this.

On fast travel: Perhaps, when boarding say, a boat or a carriage, you have to wait for a certain amount of time in said mode of transportation before it sends you on your way, to better simulate actual travel times? This would obviously work best with boats, where you can't see yourself going nowhere for five minutes, then teleporting to Elandriel.

On Hunger: I think we should keep hunger the way it is, but slow down the rate at which the bar goes down greatly. At the moment, I spend the majority of my time in a near-death state on account of being unable to find any food anywhere.

Boats,Boats and Boats! Use the Boat travel thingy for fast travel OR by land set up an carriage for an X amount of coins that would take you to a capitol. Id think this would bring the complaints down.

I think people want to be able to gather recources in the wilds to bring back to the cities, perhaps increase mob spawn rates in the wilds and make some sort of transport system out to trading posts there

I enjoy the travel time, it makes things feel realistic and makes traveling feel more like a quest (who knows what you'll run into, what battles you may have!)

The hunger thing, realistic, harsh on the poor and those without food buuuuut, like I said it adds realism, and a need for food (making the food market a bit more... needed?)

Soulstone I wish was a bit shorter of a cooldown after dieing (but could easily be abused to return to points of war like in your home nation (for us donators atleast) )) but that could easily be remedied by people learning to screenshot returns like that

Honestly I think the world could be bigger, (it really would allow a chance for more nations to appear, as well as more "Wilds" for people to travel through. One of the main downsides to increasing the size of the world is, unless you remove the massive oceans (I found em massive anyways) it'd be like a 4 day boat ride to a suitable area for a new nation

I like this, only issue is finding good locations for these boats.

I do have an idea where you could place one of the boats. After I use my soul stone, and head right after the fork, there is a dock before the massive stretch of water. I think that the boat would go there perfectly.
