King James Hightower strolls into the throne room with a somewhat large retinue, half of whom are carrying large chests. The King bows courteously in front of the Emperor before speaking.

"My Liege, I bring gifts from the people of Salvus. We have seen an unusually prosperous harvest season and thus I bring you gold and the best wheat in Asulon."

The King then stood back while the courtiers presented the gifts.

"How... 'convenient'. The King brings his gifts as a means to impress the Emperor. If you really wish to see the 'prosperous' Solace, go there and see how dazzling it is, but mind yourself of the thieves."

Sits on a stone step eating his soup in his dress calmly. He looks at his son mumbling and raises an eyebrow. As he sees James Hightower walk in he gives a curtsey and sits back down. He then proceeds to calmly eat his soup in his very pretty dress.

*Duke Balian Guivret of Auvergne walks to the back of the throne room, and seeing King Hightower infront of the Emperor he calmly places his hands behind his back and waits his turn to speak before Godfrey.*

He looks at Abdul Mubdee and moves his hand to his lap, and says ''You sir should not speak to me about this, we can appoint people to salvus but that is not our task nor our position you should speak to the King of Salvus James Hightower my cousin.'' As he says he notice James entering and approaching the throne, he welcomes James and smiles towards him after seeing that he brought gifts, ''Ah King James this man here'' points towards Abdul ''Has a issue with your appointed lord of Salvus'' he looks towards Abdul ''Tell the his Majesty your problem..''

*walks to the side of Aron's nervous form, standing rigidly in a smart form of attention. His hand rests on the hilt of his sword, ready to draw his blade if any threat to Aron is to be unveiled. Hearing the words of the accuser, Zayden's passive expression breaks momentarily, twitching angrily. It can be apparent to those looking closely the tightness at the ends of his lips and the drumming of his fingers on his sword that he is deeply angered, and is ready to speak out against the man demanding for the removal of Aron.*

Abdul turns his head to King Hightower, he stands up and gives him a bow before kneeling once more.

"I assume you heard my request outside. What is your opinion upon this matter? I am your humble listener. If you did not hear it, I will gladly recite it for you again and if you want to I will go into detail with what I plan to do."

Abdul continues kneeling in deep respect.

King James turns to the foreigner.

"I have not a clue who you are and you expect me to give you control of my city? Not only do you insult my family by attempting to bypass me and plead your case to the Emperor, you insult one of the greatest civil servants that Asulon has seen in years - that being Lord Aron. Now, if you have a plan that you wish to propose for Solace, request an audience with me at my residence in Solace like the rest of the petitioners."

"I won't hold up any more of the court's time. This is a Salvus matter and shall be discussed in Salvus."

James bowed somewhat shallowly - more out of aging joints than a subdued insult - to the Emperor. He then turned and left the throne room with his retainers.
