It is not a simple group or even a single nation that is a threat to our kind. But it is the whole of Humanity. Humanity is the reason why the lands in the west are in disarray, humanity is the reason behind much of the grief and sorrow you all see today.

They crusade across the lands citing verses to a false god. They murder and they plunder all that is not like themselves. They are intolerant, volatile and harbor outright monsters such as the orcs, the White Roses, and the Syndicate.

Let it be known that the humans of the Empire will no longer find safety or respite within the borders of the Holy Princedom. They will only find despair and ultimately death. And know that the Mali do not distinguish between serf, gentry, noble, or emperor in these proceedings.

I advise all Sentinels to escort all humans not associated with the Holy Princedom to be escorted out. Those that resist be met with unceremonious death in accordance to our laws.

These recent acts of brutality will not go unanswered.

((Is that like a note or what?))

Elorna reads the notice and sighs deeply. "I had not heard of this... perhaps it is a good thing that I do not leave Normandor often."

She writes a response and pins it next to all the others.

"The Mali should not have to fear to leave their forests. However, for your own safety, please return to Malinor. Asulon has grown hostile towards us, and we must stand strong together. We cannot do that when we are scattered in the lands of our enemies. Rejoin your brothers and sisters so that we can defend our home together.

Mali are long-lived. We will see this dark era pass while those who would destroy us wither to dust. All it takes is time."

*Arabella, in her elfish disguise, grins at seeing posts against Oren, particularly the White Roses. Sensing an opportunity against her bitter foes, she scribbles a note and adds among the many others though she leaves her note unsigned.

I can't help but find it ironic that the White Roses racism against the elves and yet have elves among their ranks, fighting side by side by them. They even employ elvish servants. If I recall correctly, one of the Roses is engaged, or married, to their dark elf servant who practically feeds the entire order! If I was one of the elves who count themselves among the order, I would feel ashamed to serve a group that only wishes to belittle and dominate their kind. If any elf who calls the Roses your friend, you better reconsider stance before they reduce yourself to nothing more than a slave... if you aren't one already.

*leaves the note on on the board, maybe she can't destroy the Roses on her own but anything to hurt them as they hurt her is good enough for her.

*On one of her journeys looking for trade, Ash'ya visits the elven capital. She follows her routine line of travel, first around the homes, looking for residents. She finds none. On exiting the city, she takes a glance to the board and notices the new looking note. She studies it for a spell and shakes her head, taking in a deep sigh. She reads the collection of notes attached around the center one. She digs into her pack and pulls out a small scrap of parchment. She etches a response in charcoal and wedges it under the center note...*

The elves are hopeless.

At a time, we were known to live alongside most others without argument and conflict. More noted, the humans.

If this were truly a threat, the council would once gather and discuss it. Not leave out notes such as this one.

You who reside here are weak. Your council is not what it should be. All around I see pickets recruiting for some military. You live more like humans. In your homes, surrounding a grand tree which has been gutted beyond life.

As elves. You should be diplomatic. If your council can not handle the threat of a few humans. The perhaps it is time to rethink just whom is the threat. These 'White Roses' whom, I have personally met some, and are more than kind. OR a council who cannot pull together protection for their kind.

I am more than glad I decided to live else where, and seclude myself from you 'elves'.

Ash~

Terryn smiles to himself as he walks towards the crowd, pulling the note up with his gauntlet and scanning over it. He chuckles loudly as he continues to scan the other notes, reaching inside his pocket and taking out a bit of charcoal. He then leans against the tree and starts to write.

"Elves,

You threaten us because you are filth... You have brought this upon yourselves, as this could've been avoided if you weren't so annoying and filthy. Especially the dark elves you harbor in this town, shall you maybe give them all to us? We may spare your little tree if you threaten with war. We shall not 'threaten' but we shall use force to burn down every single one of your homes.

-T"

Terryn smiles as he bumps through the crowd, lowering his visor as looks back at the pile of notes on the tree. Heading back to the boats.

Sythra points to 'Ash' as she leaves.

That is what you call a 'Half Human' an elf that has coupled with one of humanity and has been tainted by their lies and their corruption.

Let it be known that all elves that wish to return to Malinor will be welcome to do so and encouraged. They will be received as lost loved ones and family. However, those that wish to stay with their human masters will be shunned and treated the same as that 'half human'.

Now is not a time for our people to be divided, we must unite against the threats that this world imposes upon us. Only united will our culture grow and thrive in this unrelenting and cruel world that surrounds us.

In times past, diplomacy was our solution. There were many instances that mistakes and misjudgements were made by us. Never before did Oren take such vile measures against us. Instead they opened channels of talk and peaceful resolutions. This is no longer the case. The empire has shown that it does not wish diplomacy, only wanton violence and submission.

Like the orcs and their slavers, humanity too wishes to enslave our people. But it is even worse then that. Instead of a few elves here or there for simple profits, they wish to subjugate all of our kind.

This is why the half humans exist. They are the product of humanity's tampering with poor elves that fall into their slimy grasp. I ask everyone this, do you wish to remain free? Do you wish for your culture to survive and flourish without humanity's corruption? What of your children? We have long been cursed with very few to continue our lineage, each life being precious and each child being the finest treasure any elven parent could obtain. Do you wish to see Humanity take that away?

I have long urged the High Council to be vigilant in their dealings with the humans. I knew even as your High Princess that humanity could be a danger in some form. Unfortunately we misgauged the threat they actually pose. Never did I think in their emperor's lifetime would I see such violence and depravity. It is not the fault of the High Council for these raids and destructive attacks on our sovereign territories. They were misled by the honorless humans spreading lies from the simple serf to the emperor himself.

Not even an elven week ago was it that it was requested that an embassy be started again in their capital of Arethor. They used such a request as a ruse to mount a surprise attack on Normandor.

As a response left by another said, "time is on our side." We must be prepared to weather this storm brought on by humanity. In time they will wither and perish to the passage of time while we remain vigorous. Perhaps the children's children of humanity will have greater wisdom than their fathers.

But we must prepare for the consequences that they are not.

A shrouded fellow spots Sythra and hears of the commotion, and slowly inches toward her. He stands a distance and makes a reply, tone low and raspy and coated thickly with arrogance and spite,

"Retaliation from a nation that has ripped itself from the roots that Malin nurtured until his demise is foolish; your preaching is asinine and only provokes the human invaders. Look to the Mori'Quessir - they have the wisdom to collapse the entrance to their cavern and hide away safely within ther cavern haven. I suggest you rally supporters and do the same, female."

Lord Lanon Chivay sees the poster and smirks. He begins to chuckle as he reads things like 'this must stop' and 'just beat them up'. He spits on many of the Elven posts and then says to himself, "I dare one of those filthy Elves to try and touch me, I'll bring the hand of a Chivay down upon them."

Count Relgard Valois Sintel stops by the note, reading it. Reading the replies, his anger begins to build at the Roses, and he takes a pin from his robe, the hood of which covers his ears, concealing his being one of the High Elves.

He nears the pen to the note, but withdraws. With a sigh, he replaces the pen in his robe and walks off. There would be time to fight later. For now, he had to act with the interests of his family in mind.

*Ash'ya simply smirks at the comment made and retorts...*

Not to be divided? Says he who will criticize a member of his own race because of their views.

Pathetic.

*Ash'ya turns her back and walks off towards the ships as she waits for it's return...*

A gentle breeze whistles throughout the uppermost reaches of Krak du Rhoswen, the whipping current of air catching a hushed conversation between two parties. A gathering of men can be seen speaking- one clad in a chainmail vest, the other encased in a suit of plated steel. The apparent footman speaks out, his voice bearing the semblance of a male in his younger years.

"Sire! Have you received word regarding these...elves?"

The Seneschal tilts his greathelm in a low nod, an air of silence surrounding him. Seeing this the footman hastily nods, a stammered inquiry escaping his lips.

"Why- why is it we view them with such distaste, Seneschal? These dark elves, of course..."

A stream of air slowly draws through the thick helmet's breathers, creating a faint wheezing. For but a short moment he pauses, his thoughts formulating.

"Why is it we look down upon these dark elves, soldier? The answer is simple- the entirety of these creatures berate our culture, our people. They speak ill of Horen's children, the true inheritors of the Seven Skies. And so they step within the bounds of our most Holy Empire lacking a grain of respect; the lot of them spew false accusations of the Faith. These elves, they have deviated from the Holy Light and the true doctrine of the One.

For countless years has man settled with sinking in a mire of inaction. They sought blind ignorance, blissfully unaware of the treachery which the black ones commit. Acts of theft, hedonism, murder, cannibalism...I have witnessed the filth relishing in these crimes during my years under the sun. They remain an impurity upon the face of Asulon, an inclusion within the Princedom of Malinor. In such times where man rises, their antiquated peoples lash out, gripping at what little purpose they have in this world.

Hear this, good soldier: the vine which bears no fruit is cut off and cast into the fire; such is the charge of these black ones which adhere not to the ways of man."

The footman stares onwards, a blank expression plastered on his visage. As the words settle in he begins to slowly nod, as if in agreement.

A dark elf pushes his way through the crowd. The elf clad in a blood soaked coat, a black face mask with several weapons on him. His right gauntlet pointed sharp where his nails would be, and blades attached to his knuckles.

So this is what it must come down to, a handful of elves dispersing the ways of diplomacy. And sinking into the way of hatred. I did not go out of my way to inform your old high prince Haelphon, of our need to flee Aegis. Nor did I inform him of the placements of the boats, just so the elves could descend so low and get themselves killed from stupidity.

I have lived a long life of war, strife and murder. Yet even I am against your sudden urge to wish to fight. Taking up against these white roses is a fools errand. One that I would assume elves, with there wisdom would have come to realize. Standing up against a faction of humans, leads you ultimately against the might of the entire empire. I myself have fought against the empire many a time, more noticeably the time Hanseti betrayed the alliance that went against Salvus all those years ago.

It is a fools errand for the elves to try to pit themselves against the humans. As you do not have any major allies of your own. Mind you the humans have a combined army of Arethor, Hanseti, Salvus, and their sympathizers. Especially when your armies are not what they used to me.

I urge you all to think logically. I urge your council to be logical. You think it is bad now, keep poking Oren.

A tall, slender figure approaches the board and scans over the note and its various replies. With a frown, she goes to her home to fetch a quill and paper. She sighs heavily as she sits down and begins scrawling a reply to her people.

Children of Malin,

it is true that we are wronged by these people who call themselves the White Rose. Our people are hated and oppressed when we walk upon their soil, quickly choked and killed for merely being who we are. Realize though, that this is what happens when flowers take root where weeds flourish. These people pose as roses, but that is what they truly are, weeds. If you wish to be allowed to live and prosper then settle where you will thrive; with your people. Now is the time for us to unite and come together. It is said that our council has lost our way and that they have forgotten what it is to be elf. I implore you then, return, and truly learn and know these people you are so quick to criticize. The Council may be full of fresh faces, but know that the old ways have not been lost, and will indeed return. Malin's children will once again be restored to their former glory, but the council alone cannot accomplish such a task. The people must be willing. Return to Malinor, and aid us in becoming a respected peoples once more.

Earenniel dots the last period on the page and looks over the letter with satisfaction. She hopes that this will bring a positive response, rather than the negativity that seems so eager to flow from the mouths of all that can speak. She begins to dip the quill in the ink once more to sign her name at the bottom of the page, but decides that perhaps she will get a more candid response by leaving the letter nameless.

With that, she carries the letter out to where the original is posted and hangs it with the other replies, being careful not to get boogers from the first note onto her paper.
