Racial Benefits

So, I'm not a big fan of the stuper buffs. Not going to lie, I'm not reading 10 pages of, "OMFG **** OREN, or OMFG THESE BUFFS MAN."

So, looking at this a bit, Orcs could do some bonus damage, I'm entirely fine with that, but it also brings issue to light. Orcs are stonger, yes, but they're considerably bulkier and slower. If they get a buff in power, they need a nerf in speed.

Dwarves are tough little midgets. They should be able to take a good hit, I would have just buffed their health but left everything else alone. Why? Humans have Iron Armed crossbows as well, thus the reason variations of the weapon require setting before use.

Humans, the most adaptive of races, not going to lie.. I have no idea what I would give them as any real adjustment would probably unbalance everything.

Elves, they're agile. I'd give them the edge with a bow, as steretype dictates and maybe a small boost to speed.

Halflings, non-combat race. Probably wouldn't touch them. Leave as is.

Kha, unarmed damage, positive someone has said this somewhere in here, claws.

Even with all this taken into consideration, I would only give out extremely minor advantages. Nothing beyond half a heart in damage and 3 hearts in HP.

You may want to go back and read some of the points made Temp, a lot of what you've said has been said or already refuted.

I like the proposed buffs here, however I would get orcs maybe 1 heart more damage. Though Dwarves would be fine with 3 more hearts I think.

I think Kha would also get a pretty decent speed boost, they were stated to be very quick and agile in the original lore. Not sure if it's changed since I played one but I doubt it.

PS: Humans don't need a buff I believe. And I'm hesitant about the orc speed nerf.

If you want the story, I was putting LotC-Core on the server for a brief period of time to test out a few things, more than 90% of it was disabled entirely, but for some reason the temporary damage changes DID go thorugh.

I would have removed it yesterday if my internet was working, my DNS lookup server broke so I have to go ahead and fix it now which may take a few days

The PvP changes were not meant to be added.

One heart addition adds up when adjusted via weaponry. Wanna say that's the set-up right now and I think weapons act as multipliers compared to base damages. Not entirely sure, never cared to look into it. Could just be the plug-in's shift as well.

Bow damage is in reverse btw, should have been a tecnicality of the way the damage is placed. If you notice, elves are the worse, then humans, then orcs, then khas and dwarves. It should be Dwarves and khas in the worse position, orcs next, then humans, then elves.

Probably just something wrong with the coding.

If this is not implemented then it goes back to us humans being Op again :I

Humanity isn't OP. Everyone is on even grounds.

Something people seem to be forgetting, Humanity is where it is through effort. It wasn't just slapped on OOCLY. It wasn't just drawn on with little effort as a method to, "Flip the bird," to the other races .We've gotten where we are through RP. We manage relations, we take the time to plan and we make efforts to appease our playerbase while maintaining an atmosphere we like. Humanity is an easy groove to fit and seems to be one of the most welcoming.

Humans are not OP, we have superior leadership and tactics. We are not what we are because of PvP.

I kinda have to agree with this, you didn't get where you are only through RP, however nice it would be for that to be true it

1) Isn't, OOC was also important.

2) Isn't really possible to achieve all that through RP only.

Yes but the numbers none the less are there. I do not see the issue for having races with MUCH  smaller player bases to get these benefits, is there an actual problem? Since we have the numbers, the supreme leadership what is the actual problem? War is not fair, that is what people were told that had complaints, so..war is not fair guys.

Edit: And yes what is said above.

I would be fine with benefits so long as all races were balanced with their benefits and de-buffs. They aren't. Giving one race lower damage because they have numbers and are winning a war is simply unjustifiable.

So for you it would be balanced to have 100 humans dealing as much damage as 10 orcs?

It like a gun in a FPS, the higher the rate of fire the less damage it deals.
