E__V__O 2000 Share Posted June 25, 2013 I'd like to ask all the Aussies saying that latency is a disadvantage something. How fast is your internet? I only get 1.8mb on a good day but I can PVP fine. I vote for this... again not all players are American like myself to which have low-speed Internets... to be in fact Australia has one of the worlds slowest Internets... I run MC with only 5-10 FPS... and even on the server I get lag spikes and what not... I seem it un-fit for players without good PC's or if you are an American.,. "I lost because my PC sucks" "He was using hacks" "A random guard shouldn't be able to kill a pack of soldiers because he's good at pvp" I'm from Aegis too, and no, there weren't as many complaints. PvP fighting brings more complaints than RP fights... it all depends what race you are... or computer... or internet... I'm not even American anyway and again, I'm fine at PVP. And 5-10 FPS...lower your settings a bit. And if they're like that at min, you are using a toaster. If you roll with the RP and not make your character some OP thing as with them... and take hits and RP the hits... and do the things a normal living thing would do if in a fight and took a few punches besides getting right up and have full strength to fight... In the main, players have proven that RP fighting causes too many problems. Those who RP fight well, and correctly, can continue to RP fight when PVP becomes default because their RP fighting is probably enjoyable for others, and so people will WANT to RP fight with them. IMAGINE THAT! If everyone could RP fight correctly, in an ideal world, sure. Reality? RP fighting doesn't work so well. Reminds me of the T1 RP idea someone put forwards. I RP bicker with people I get along with during RP. Just simple things like Them:(("The sword wouldnt get stuck like that! It's (super duper blade)" )) Me: "Yeah! Just work with me here! I am going to make something happen cool FOR YOU" Them: (("Oh ok. )) Them: *Cuts the beasts's arm but the sword gets stuck. Me thinking: ... "Ugh, is it really worth it all this fine print for RP ?) I will log out, I come for the Role Play not for the Pvp. I'm sorry my friend, but you built your metaphorical house on the sand here. LoTC was a RP server before RP fighting was default. I joined for the RP. I hate PVP servers. So where does your argument come from? I believe you mean "I joined for the RP fighting, not PVP fighting." In which case, maybe you should consider that there's things besides fighting in LOTC to experience, all of which are RP. In addition, battles are PVP default. Do you wish to change that also?
