  1. Upon having gotten the news that her one love, Robert had committed suicide, Anne Caroline felt devastated. Noone got to see the lady treasurer of Oren for weeks on and - and when she returned to the public, something seemed changed about her. Her laugh more hollow and even less seen these days. She focussed on her work and only her work, trying to shut the door upon a chapter that had wounded her more than she ever had been wounded before.
  2. Laurentina sighs out a breath of relief before saddling up her horse and making her way to the Kognzem.
  3. The Duchess of Cathalon seemed bewildered upon hearing of the statement. She ran across the hall, dodging multiple of the household attendants and bolted outside. The short trip to Rivia was made in record-breaking speed and as Andrea Fredericka finally burst into the sitting room of her grandparents, she pointed an index finger upon her cousin. With burning lungs and heaving shoulders, the child wanted to know: "W- when- when y-you go t..." she coughed, wheezed and panted, trying to catch her breath, "to- Haense, you- you'll bring back a gift for me, right?" @Josef_Rippelberg
  4. GUYS THEY JUST SAID TWINS ARENT POSSIBLE!! U CAN STILL HAVE A BATCH OF 3+ CHILDREN AT ONCE WITHOUT DYING!!!!11!!
  5. "The only true thing in this mess is the statement about the Vice..." Anne perked over her shoulder, shivering upon smelling Henry's awful coffee breath. He must be nearby.
  6. Anne Caroline furrowed her brows upon seeing the employment numbers. "A-ha..." she uttered as she put the report paper near the fireplace. "That's gotta be right."
  7. And as Laurentina found herself sitting alone at the breakfast table, worry gripped her heart. She began tiptoeing her way to her sire's chambers. A low rasp escaped her as she knocked ever so gently against the door. "Papa?" she whispered, without response. "Pa, I am coming inside." And as she moved towards him, ever so gently shaking the aged duke's shoulder, she felt the coldness of his skin. And as the moments flew by, the Helvets felt certain. Oh GOD, why? So, she sat there near her father's dead body, her hands placing themselves over her face as she wept until someone found them. -x- A raven-haired woman greeted her husband at the gates to the skies by throwing her arms around him. Tears fell from her eyes, and surely there was a lot they had to catch up on, but for now - the first time in over 15 years, Leopoldine felt peace. Peace, which she so desperately longed for. "You are home now, Thomas," was what she might've uttered before disappearing into that ever so bright light that engulfed them both.
  8. The Crow of Cathalon wept, longing for and trying to get her daughter to ascend to the skies. She could not help it. She could not help her dearest baby that died the same way Leopoldine had died 14 years prior. -x- Laurentina lost her smile as she lost her older sister. The woman who had taken care of and raised her. Her closest confidante. Gone. She remembered that GOD awful crack she heard when the attacker's punch hit the side of the princesses head. A crack she had heard years before when her sister Daphne fell from a balcony and broke her neck. Henrietta fell to the floor and all the frustration she had felt for her older sister mere moments prior had vanished. Shivering, the Helvets sat curled up in a corner of her room as though she was still a little child. Again and again, she recalled words spoken through a clenched jaw: "Never speak of this to anyone." Could she have done more to save Etta if only Laurentina had shouted at them to stop? Would she carry the burden of a lie with her until the day she died? Must she tell the truth to save her soul?
  9. Anne Caroline burst into her husband's chambers, throwing the missive onto his desk. "DING DONG, THE WICKED WITCH IS DEAD!" @wagwan
  10. Anne of Oren rose a glass in celebration.
  11. Laurentina merely asked her older brother, "So... is she coming home?"
  12. Mathea, who passed some time with knitting after the birth of her last child, glanced up to the Lorraine, uttering; "If only we could have forgiven one another."
  13. Anne Caroline lifted a glass of expensive auvergne wine into the air, exclaiming loudly to her husband: "Let us not mourn her death but celebrate her life instead."
  14. cant we just have all NLs agree on a date and a time and have them pvp it out on some field on the main server?
  15. Leopoldine frowned from the seven skies as her oldest daughter lived through what she had lived through once upon a time. "GOD protect your child, dear Etta..." she whispered to herself before continuing to do... stuff.
  16. IGN: fieee Character Name: Laurentina Helvets Discord: Fie#4300 favourite 2000s song:
  17. Laurentina grins. "I sometimes eat grass," she spoke to her father as she tried to relate.
  18. Laurentina frets for her family's safety. She pleaded again with her brothers and father to not go to war. Anne Caroline, who had not stopped mourning her loved ones despite the occasional moments of happiness she was granted these last few months, asked herself: "Do they truly wish to take even the last bit of family that I still have?" Before once more locking herself away in her chambers.
  19. Laurentina found herself weeping once more as war was all but inevitable. With a mournful expression, the grieving child peered up to her father and her older brother who had moved back home to Providence. The child moved forth to give the both of them a tight embrace, exclaiming: "I don't want you go to war! I don't want to fight the small men! Please don't leave home!" @Fishy@DelaneyG
  20. A certain Duchess stood by the gates to the skies. She could not help but to weep bitter tears upon being reunited not with her husband of twenty years, but with her second-youngest child. Whilst embracing the girl that died far too early for Leopoldine's liking, the lady lamented: "O' my poor baby! Beloved daughter, it was not your time yet - it was not! How I wish you could have led a long and fulfilling life!" She pressed kisses to the girl's forehead, determined to resume waiting for Thomas to come ‘home’. At least now she was not alone - and neither was Daphne. ...On the other hand… Despite being tucked in countless times by Helton and despite being held tightly by her father, Thomas, Laurentina could not help but to stay awake during the first night after her big sister's fatal accident. Pearls of tears and sweat ran down the Helvets' forehead. She writhed and kicked the blanket off once more - much to Thomas Andrew's dismay. The Helvets shook with sobs as she rose up in the bed. Laura swung her legs over the side and slid down, a mere linen cloak being grabbed to shield her from the autumny air around their family estate. Armed with naught but a lantern, the grieving youth found herself in front of the flowers Daphne had tended to earlier in the day. The week after was hard. Probably one of the hardest weeks she would ever have to live through. Laurentina did her best to try and put a smile on her family’s faces - with limited success. Truth to be told, she felt like crying, rolling up into a ball and just hiding from life - but she couldn’t. She couldn’t, for her family needed her. And she needed her family. Her closest confidante was gone - and perhaps Laurentina may never be able to love someone as she had loved her older sister, but at least there were flowers to remember her by.
  21. Laury somehow got into possession of this knowledge. Her face turned pale - and instead of the joy she should have felt for her oldest sister, the young Helvets could not help but to weep bitterly upon having gotten the knowledge that her dearest Etta would not return home. ... On the other hand, a certain Duchess celebrated the birth of her first grandchild in the seven skies. Leopoldine could not help to feel guilty, however, for not being there for her beloved child during her pregnancy or for her first and currently only grandson. However - soon after Leopoldine had Henrietta, she had prepared herself for what should happen, should the Etta have children when Leopoldine is no longer alive. Thus - a few days after Matyas' birth, a package alongside a letter arrived - penned 23 years ago: Within the package that came with the letter was a hand-made teddy bear. It looked rather classic, with brown fur and big button eyes. The only difference was small stitching on the back of the teddy - which reads: "From your Grandmama Leo - May GOD protect you and guide you on your path through life."
  22. Laurentina began to scribble as Daphne helped her with her wishlist. "Another horse, a pretty tiara, a house for Slimon and uhh... TOYS!"
  23. Mathea, who had been married for 5 months held her newborn proudly.
