Mairenn looks over her invitation, a smile ever present on her features. “It’s ‘bout time, wouldn’t ye say?” She asked her betrothed as a chuckle escaped her, wondering when they are going to tie the knot.

Penned in the year of our lord, 2056 The opening day of the Festival saw Tir-glas host a well-attended joust and archery competition, drawing a crowd of 340 citizens to the event grounds! Notably, the Prince and his two sons participated in the archery contest, and somehow, his nine year-old gained the most points between them. In an unexpected outcome, Agariel Elendil secured first place with a score of twenty-two, just one point ahead of the competition. The joust then took place, several folks taking part in the festivities. After eleven match-ups and a best out of five, decided by the Lady Chancellor, she secured the victory from Prince Llewyn. Beware, citizens, the gates are closed for good reason. If, for any reason, you need to leave the gates, do not do so alone. Gather a group and arm yourselves, for pests and wild creatures of Gladezyl have been the least of the dangers about. Reports have grown of bandits who have been on the roads, terrorising our innocent denizens as well as dark forces. Recently, the Order of the Dawn spotted a few necromancers and was luckily able to expel them. An artist’s rendition of Aled scaring off an unwanted visitor On that note, recently, there was a wave of fog that swept in through the gates of Garenbrig, chilling the air and reduced the visibility to a mere few meters. Princess Safiyaa and others attempted to dispel the fog and rid of any unwanted guests, but the fog left as quick as it arrived, leaving no trace. Looking for a job? Worry not! There are plenty of openings in the Garenbrig court that need to be filled. If any positions are of interest, or you have any questions, reach out to Angruth Glennmaer [VoidDimension], Agariel Elendil, [BreadNugget7567] or Princess Safiyaa [jihsoo] SIGNED, Master of the Tomes, Scribe of Garenbrig

THE “PETRA, FLOWING WATER! AVE! AVE!” Penned by the Seneschal. Issued and averred by Atstana de Regne Petrère, 175 Dear Citizens of Aevos, Since the signing of the Peace of Nóruiel, an influx of new residents have made Petra their new home. Refugees and settlers from across Aevos have come to settle within the Métropole of Vallagne. In the spirit of our Lord and togetherness, we invite those from across the continent to experience the many cultures which inhabit the Cantons of Petra. The strength of the Petran Commonwealth has always been derived from the wide expanse of cultures which have made the Meadowlands home, from Auvergnians, Waldenians and Almannir in the Mardonlands & Solland, to the Agnethe in the steep hills of Val de Lagne, the Commonwealth has always been host a wide range of peoples. Thus those who have recently found themselves residing within the Commonwealth are encouraged to immerse themselves in the festivities, in the hopes that they might learn much of their fellow Petrans and further integrate themselves within the Petra. With the war concluded and the return of peace to the Meadowlands, it is hoped that this festival shall prove a poignant first step in the prosperity to come. The Inhabited Cantons of Petra The Métropole of Val de Lagne exists as the most inhabited Canton of the Petran Commonwealth. Within its borders exist the City of Vallagne, seat of the Archduke of Petra, and the Free City of Chambery. The former has in time become metropolitan in nature, a melting pot of numerous cultures and peoples within its walls. It is here that Pétrine culture flourishes most, as Vallagne serves as the beating heart of the Petran Commonwealth. Its metropolitan nature has come about through the influences of several human cultures, both from the Heartlands and Highlands. Consequently, any newcomer to Petra is certain to learn first and foremost what it is to be Pétrine through their interaction with the city and its denizens. Similarly, the Free City of Chambery serves as an artist’s haven within the Commonwealth. Nestled upon the southern bank of the River Petra, the Free City is home to a plurality of cultures not seen in Vallagne, taking on a more free-spirited and artistic approach to life. Within the Métropole, life is as varied as it is colorful and expressional. The Canton of Solland exists to the East of the City of Vallagne and comprises much of the Pétrine Heartlands. In comparison to the Métropole, the Canton of Solland is sparsely inhabited, with few large centers of population. The Canton of Solland comprises much of the fertile lands from which Pétrine crops and lumber are acquired. The hamlets of Solland are a more recent phenomenon, having been established after the City of Vallagne through the Solland Settlement Act. Consequently, its population too has varied as in different waves many people have come to settle its confines. Perhaps the most notable landmarks of the Canton are the castles of Rhosynsburg and Rikardsburg, seat of the Almannir of House Stafyr and the former seat of the Waldenians of House von Augusten. Since the collapse of the Heartland Confederacy, the once-academy of Courteis Hale has been reconstructed and serves as a center of learning, now governed by the House Auclair of the Barony of Rhénanie This too showcases the diversity of the Petran Commonwealth, as its nobility has varied throughout the years in cultural makeup. The Canton of the Mardonlands comprises the Eastern frontier of the Petran Commonwealth. Akin to Solland, it too is sparsely populated beyond a handful of pockets of life in the form of farmsteads of the Solland Act. The largest center of population is nestled upon the Black Hills, home to the center of Pétrine industry. From the bastion of Vissingren Castle the Waldenians of House von Theonus ward the Commonwealth’s frontier. Shaped largely by the distance of the Mardonlands from the metropolitan heart of Petra, the region has often adopted a self-sufficient mindset, in large part contributing to the efficacy of industry within the Canton through this tradition. In recent years, the improvement of infrastructure throughout the Canton has played a role in facilitating trade to the wider Commonwealth from abroad. DAY OF ACTIVITY Our houses of the various cantons shall be holding a small activity for citizens to participate in, including a martial competition, joust, wine tasting, and archery! To participate in the martial competition or joust, fill out the form below: There will be no late entry to either! S I G N E D, HER LADYSHIP, Nicoleta Haverlock, Seneschal of the River Court HIS EXCELLENCY, Sir Clemens von Theonus, Knight of the Petrine Laurel, Knight-Governor of the Mardonlands

A certain sister of the groom had heard whispers of a wedding, but an invitation seemed to never come. "How unfortunate." Nicoleta murmured.

Henry the Acolyte prayed within the Monestary of St. Caius. "GOTT, let zhem see zhe light." She uttered, hoping her prayer would be heard.

Nicoleta Haverlock raised a curious brow. "How did said soldier know the Haense bell did not get rung. . .? Unless he was there the whole time and came back. Interesting." The lady spoke within her husband's office.

As Such the Golden Dragon Rises Once More
TaytoTot replied to Pegleg_Bob's topic in The Church of the True Faith
Nicoleta Haverlock looked at the missive, in total disbelief. “My brother…wouldn’t have, would he?” She questioned, a nervous laugh leaving her person. “For someone who spent most of his childhood with his nose in a book, he knows nothing.” She threw the missive aside before letting out a long sigh. -
Cynemaer Alstion-Enswerp looked over the missive, a sigh escaping him. “Seems I miss all the important things.” He grumbled. “I suppose John would make a good Count. . . and GOD I hope he is worth this, sister.”
-
Cynemaer looked over the missive with a curious brow raised. “This is certainly an. . . interesting revelation.” He commented.

A Response to Renilde and the People of Petra
TaytoTot replied to Shmeepicus's topic in The Kingdom of Aaun
Dame Monika remembered being one of the first people to respond to the fire. . . and oh how the screams horrified her. She saw the charred body of the woman she thought like her own daughter. She had never wept so much in her life. “Justice will be served, little one.” She cooed to her infant son before putting him to bed. -
“Ave Petra, Ave Adalia.” The Devoted Dame Monika chanted as she witnessed the head roll, a hand on her niece’s back to comfort her.

Dame Monika remembered all the bodies that were found in Courties Hale, tears streaming down her face. It was a shame, all the innocent lives lost for nothing.
