Published 2nd of the Amber Cold S.A. 124 [!] A missive was hurriedly pinned by mounted messengers to the noticeboards of the settlements on Almaris, stating the following: We write this missive in the hope that we will come into contact with any individuals who are; Waldenian authors, holders of books written by Waldenian authors, or books about Waldenian history and culture. It is our desire to create a repository of Waldenian literature for all within Almaris. Whether they be noble folk of Waldenia wishing to enrich themselves in their history, or any others who may have an interest in learning more about the Waldenian people. Despite being a thriving hub of Waldenians, the United Kingdom of Aaun, unfortunately, does not have any location with a large collection of Waldenic tomes yet within the realm. As such, we hope to rectify this through a concerted effort to make such a collection inside Minitz, held by the Waldenic Diet as a representative institution of the Waldenian people. Any individual who possesses any of the aforementioned books, or knows of where any collection may be found is encouraged to send a letter to Annette von Theonus. We are willing to provide mina in exchange for each book as an incentive at a rate of 10 mina, or more depending on the rarity and significance of the book in question. For any interested, the collection is free to access, located in Minitz. Any who possess an interest in Waldenian literature and culture are more than welcome to visit and indulge in the collection free of charge when the building is open. The Waldenian Dialect Guide: The ‘th’ replacement is interchangeable with a ‘z’ sound or a ‘d’ sound. It depends on the person, most Waldenian peoples prefer the ‘z’ or ‘zh’ sound. Introduction: Misses Annette von Theonus, daughter of Adelaide and Ludwig von Audrick. Annette was raised under a militant father and a doting mother, living within the city of Karosgrad with her six siblings. Annette has spent most of her life within Haense, that being over 40 years and has a love for all sorts of people and cultures. Annette’s eldest brother was previously on the Duma as a Royal Alderman. Annette has been married to her husband, Karl for over 20 years, who is also an avid fighter. Promises and Goals: An issue most commonly seen within Haense is the divide between Commoners and Nobles, one side being far more favourable than the other. As Alderman, she wishes to balance opportunities and find ways for commoners to further themselves if they chose to. Annette plans to talk to all citizens, whether commoners or nobles to get their opinions on matters that have significance to them. Annette also wishes to give her support to the Knights and military members of Haense. She plans to help grow the economy of Haense within itself. A vote for Annette is a vote for the people! The Glaiveguard Issued The 10th of the Snow's Maiden, 112 S.A. [Sigil by @JJosey] Ranks of the Glaiveguard Lord/Lady Commander All branches of the Glaiveguard will have a commander from which the rest take orders and the Commander is a member of the Royal Council. These leaders report directly to the Royarch and are otherwise seen as the best among their comrades. They are the people who have served the longest and garnered the most decoration. They stand at the forefront of their lines and lead their people both in battle and in training. Officer Any member can become an Officer with enough time and dedication. Working with others, they will be responsible for certain tasks ranging from managing the armoury to training the newer recruits. There can be up to three officers per branch of the Glaiveguard, and an Immortal can no longer be an Officer once selected as an Immortal, though there can be an officer of the Immortals if deemed necessary. Immortals The Immortals are bound to serve the crown and protect it, both from those who may be tyrants, and those who would seek to cause the Crown harm. Though their wide-ranging functions include serving as warriors, scouts, researchers, and teachers of history of the Mali, they may be more directly considered the backbone and guiding light of the Mali of Amaethea. The Immortals will be limited to seven warriors, the best of all the Glaiveguard. The Commander of the Glaiveguard and High Priest(ess) will initiate a nominated member into the Immortals through ritual. Immortals can lose their position if they become inactive. - The Immortals are men and women who have come from the other branches and have proved to be the greatest warriors among their peers. They have the trust of the crown and are seen to be those responsible for the Amaethean motto, “Uell Ito Maruthiran” - Death to Tyrants. - This includes organising and categorising books and artefacts in the library, museum, and vault, researching items in the vault, teaching civilians about their history, guiding order members to information or artefacts they need, and keeping up on safe containment protocols for any items of power held in the vault. Guardian A newer and specialised unit within the bounds of the Glaiveguard. These are men and women who adhere to the beliefs of the Mali‘ame and Almenodrim, and in doing so seek out knowledge and artefacts around the globe, going out of their way to protect them. They are the keepers of the special library and sworn defenders of the items they have chosen to protect. - The Guardians will protect the shores of Amaethea and often sail out to sea to explore and defend the balance of nature where they can. They are well-trained Rangers/Sailors and live exploratory lives to find knowledge and protect it. - They focus on going across the continents, mapping as they go, and noting down areas of interest such as ruins, caves, tombs, covens, and the like, to study later. They will lead expeditions to raid ruins and tombs and focus on the acquisition of artefacts, books, and knowledge. Warden Run-of-the-mill guards who find themselves responsible for the day-to-day tasks of the military and upholding the city’s laws. Gate duty, patrols, combat medics, and escort missions are regular daily tasks for these men and women. - Each Warden is provided with a Tome of Order which holds inside all of the laws of the land and the punishments that can be appropriately given based on the spot if required. Greater cases require the Wardens to detain and hold a prisoner until a Trial can take place, presided over by either the High Prince, Exarch, or their Commander. - The guards will go through the city and surrounding area patrolling and surveying the lands to make sure that they can maintain a strong presence. These patrols will also serve as a means for them to stay in touch with the community and be able to intervene in any crimes they may come across. Neophytes These are the recruits and beginners of the Glaiveguard’s forces. They make up the brunt of the military and will train and learn until they become Mali who is well versed in as many forms of combat as they can understand. Code of Conduct 1. As a member of the Glaiveguard, all members are required to hold themselves to a high standard. They must raise their swords in defence of the people they serve and never surrender unless necessary. 2. All Glaiveguard must treat all Amaethean Citizens with respect as well as her allies. 3. Glaiveguard members fight for their country and must be willing to give their lives to defend the citizens of Amaethea. If acts of violence towards the innocent and unarmed are revealed, they must be reported to an Exarch. 4. Glaiveguard must be impartial to members and civilians no matter the race, religion, culture, or gender of the person. 5. Glaiveguard must hold the law above all else as they are to execute these laws. In a situation where these codes are broken, a member of the Glaiveguard may be subject to Court Martial and/or demotion from position or military as a whole. All regulations will follow Article 1 of the Legal Procedure within the Amaethean Law Codex, but punishments can be much harsher than civilian punishments. Ventys sat in her home, an item having arrived shortly beforehand. A hand covered her forehead, hiding the tears that shed from her. She knew this item, and exactly who it belonged to. She thought about the times they had together, wondering where the poor orphan was now.

Though she was married and had children of her own, she always thought about her first love and how dearly she missed him. “Oh Vil, ich vish ich could’ve seen du vone last time.” She said to herself as she curled up in bed, grieving all of those whom she had lost.

A fox sat in her home, curled up in a chair, legs dangling over the arm rest. A letter sat in her hand, her coarse fingers clenching it tightly to her chest. Sobs escaped the poor woman, though she couldn’t find the words to say. Her uncle had just passed…and she was devastated. As she wept for his passing, she wished he had taken her out on his adventures. Maybe this time she could have saved him.
