  1. The Okartennallar Defenders of Amathine Sigil by @JJosey Purpose Along the coast of Aevos within the jungle rests the Crown of Amathine. Proudly overlooking the ocean lies the city of Aianëar, a place of peace and tranquility for mali and any other descendents who make it their homes. However, there is no true peace in the world and the continent is crawling with threats of many kinds. To maintain the peace within the lands the Okartennallar have risen their blades to safeguard the lands and seas that surround Amathine. I raise my blade against any threat To protect our lands and our coasts To defend our crown I give my life to her My blood will dry for her Uell Ito Maruthiran - The oath of the Okartennallar Code of Conduct 1. As a member of the Okartennallar, all members are required to hold themselves to a high standard. They must raise their swords in defense of the people they serve and never surrender unless necessary. 2. All Okartennallar must treat all Amathine Citizens with respect as well as her allies. 3. Okartennallar members fight for the crown's land and must be willing to give their lives to defend the citizens of Amathine. If acts of violence towards the innocent and unarmed are revealed, they must be reported to an Exarch. 4. Okartennallar must be impartial to members and civilians no matter the race, religion, culture, or gender of the person. 5. Okartennallar must hold the law above all else as they are to execute these laws. In a situation where these codes are broken, a member of the Okartennallar may be subject to Court Martial and/or demotion from position or military as a whole. All regulations will follow Article 1 of the Legal Procedure within the Amaethine Law Codex, but punishments can be much harsher than civilian punishments. Ranks of the Okartennallar Lord/Lady Commander Defender of the Crown All branches of the Okartennallar will have a commander from which the rest take orders and the Commander is a member of the Royal Council. These leaders report directly to the Royarch and are otherwise seen as the best among their comrades. They are the people who have served the longest and garnered the most decoration. They stand at the forefront of their lines and lead their people both in battle and in training. Immortal Pride of the Crown The Immortals are bound to serve the crown and protect it, both from those who may be tyrants, and those who would seek to cause the Crown harm. Though their wide-ranging functions include serving as warriors, scouts, researchers, and teachers of history of the Mali, they may be more directly considered the backbone and guiding light of the Mali of Amathine. The Immortals will be a limited group, the best of all the Okartennallar. The Commander of the Okartennallar will initiate a nominated member into the Immortals through ritual. - The Immortals are men and women who have come from the other branches and have proved to be the greatest warriors among their peers. They have the trust of the crown and are seen to be those responsible for the Amathine motto, “Uell Ito Maruthiran” - Death to Tyrants. - This includes organizing and categorizing books and artifacts in the library, museum, and vault, researching items in the vault, teaching civilians about their history, guiding order members to information or artifacts they need, and keeping up on safe containment protocols for any items of power held in the vault. Tireveri Leaders of the Stagblades. Officers of the Okartennallar. This rank is reserved for those who stand out amongst their peers and show true leadership abilities. Working with others, they will be responsible for certain tasks ranging from managing the armoury to training the newer recruits. There can be up to 2 Tireveri per branch of the Okartennallar, and an Immortal can no longer be a Tireveri once selected as an Immortal, though there can be an officer of the Immortals if deemed necessary. Ame’avern Wanderers of the Forests. A newer and specialized unit within the bounds of the Okartennallar. These are men and women who adhere to the beliefs of the Mali‘ame and Almenodrim, and in doing so seek out knowledge and artifacts around the globe, going out of their way to protect them. They are the keepers of the special library and sworn defenders of the items they have chosen to protect. - The Ame’avern will protect the shores of Amathine and often sail out to sea to explore and defend the balance of nature where they can. They are well-trained Rangers/Sailors and live exploratory lives to find knowledge and protect it. - They focus on traveling the continent, mapping as they go, and noting down areas of interest such as ruins, caves, tombs, covens, and the like, to study later. They are expedition leaders and will also focus on the acquisition of artifacts, books, and knowledge. Evari’ii The Protectors Run-of-the-mill guards who find themselves responsible for the day-to-day tasks of the military and upholding the city’s laws. Gate duty, patrols, combat medics, and escort missions are regular daily tasks for these soldiers. - Each Warden is provided with a Tome of Order which holds inside all of the laws of the land and the punishments that can be appropriately given based on the spot if required. Greater cases require the Wardens to detain and hold a prisoner until a Trial can take place, presided over by either the High Prince/Princess, Lady/Lord Exarch, or their Lord/Lady Commander. - The guards will go through the city and surrounding area patrolling and surveying the lands to make sure that they can maintain a strong presence. These patrols will also serve as a means for them to stay in touch with the community and be able to intervene in any crimes they may come across. Stagblade Upholders of the Oath The basic soldiers of the Okartennallar. They have taken the oath and continue to focus on developing their skills. Once they are deemed worthy by an officer or the commander they will be offered the opportunity to become either a Evari’ii or Ame’avern. Initiate Aspirant soldiers The rank for any aspiring to become a member of the Okartennallar, they will be expected to learn the duties that would be expected of them as well as basic combat skills. Once they feel they are ready they will be oathed in under the Lord/Lady Commander or any Tireveri. 2. The Aratir Protectors of the Crown The Oath of Feanor by BellaBergolts - Purpose - In the realm of elves, where ancient wisdom intertwines with the whispers of nature, there exists an exclusive order known as the Aratir. Clad in armor of green and bronze hues, their hearts beat in unison with the pulse of the land they have sworn to protect. Tasked with safeguarding the Elven Sovereign and their council, they stand as the unwavering sentinels to the Crown of Amathine. Detached from the traditional military, the Aratir embodies the noble spirit of chivalry and devotion, akin to Knightly orders among the humans. Their bronze rings, embellished with a motif of leaf and branch and are adorned with a singular gleaming emerald, symbolize not only their membership within this esteemed order but also their unwavering allegiance to the crown. As they tread upon the sacred grounds of elven realms and traverse the hallowed paths of ancestral forests, the Aratir carry with them the weight of responsibility. They are the guardians of the High Prince or Princess’s safety, the protectors of the council members who serve as the pillars of wisdom and governance within the elven realm. Guided by a code steeped in honor and tradition, the Aratir embodies loyalty and sacrifice. Their sworn purpose is to ensure that no harm befalls the leadership of Amathine, shielding them from any threat that may seek to disrupt the harmony and prosperity of the elven Realm. - Taking the Oath - The path to becoming an Aratir unfolds like a tapestry woven with selflessness and unwavering devotion. To join their ranks, an aspiring soul must embark on a quest of both inner and outer trials, seeking the sponsorship of a current Aratir. Finding such a sponsor is no easy task, for they demand not only skill and valor, but also a spirit untainted by the lure of personal gain. The aspiring candidate must demonstrate a selflessness that burns as brightly as the ancient stars that illuminate the elven realms. It is through the discerning gaze of an Aratir that their worthiness shall be judged, as the sponsor delves into the depths of their character, seeking the purest essence of loyalty and dedication. Once a worthy sponsor has been found, the aspiring soul's name is presented to the Aratiran Lord. The Aratiran Lord, in turn, offers the candidate to the Council, a distinguished assembly comprising wise and venerable elven lords and ladies. Within the grandeur of the council chamber, presided over by the High Prince or Princess, the fate of the candidate is meticulously weighed upon the scales of collective wisdom. Each council member individually casts their vote, taking into account the potential Aratir's virtues, merits, and the promise they hold for the realm. - Oathing Ceremony - The induction of a new member into the esteemed ranks of the Aratir unfolds as a ceremonious affair. The Aratir to be will begin by approaching the base of Amathine’s Throne only to kneel before it out of respect and fealty for their newly found purpose. With grace and purpose the Sovereign or a member of their esteemed family will step forth, bearing a ceremonial blade within their hands. The blade, a symbol of strength and valor, is laid upon the shoulders of the aspiring Aratir, the weight a tangible reminder of the solemn oath that lies ahead. In their voice resonate with ancestral wisdom, the presiding member will call the aspiring soul to rise anew. The newly anointed rises to meet the unwavering gaze of their Princely figure. In a moment brimming with profound significance, the presiding member of the current Royal House extends to their hand, bearing upon it the gleaming Aratiran Signet. The Crownguard is to then reach forth and have this ring placed upon their dominant hand, encircling their index finger. - Distinguishing Marks - Upon completion of their oaths, all Aratir are presented with a ring as a reminder of the duties expected of them. These rings are forged from bronze shaped to form branches and leaves meeting a bright green emerald as their centerpiece. The Aratir all wear these rings on the index finger of their dominant hands and are to always be present when out of armor. The armor of the Aratir is similar to the Glaiveguard of Amathine, covered by bronze platings. Unlike their military counterparts, the Aratir cover their helms with a hood of green cloth. This color is also present as accents throughout the rest of the bronze. Whenever an Aratir is on any form of guard duty, they are not to remove their helmets unless commanded by one of higher authority. The final piece of the Aratir’s arsenal is their weapon. This weapon is to be of personal preference for the oathed, however it is to be forged of Ikurn’amon by either themselves or with the guidance of a fellow oathed. This weapon is to be carried by the Aratir at all times however, if they wish to use another weapon they may.
