  8. Arakawa had often thought about traveling to other worlds. He knew they existed, of course, having once been to a sandy realm ravaged by Garumdir's Hyper-War. He had several plans in place to enact if he did end up in one; often convoluted and heavily dependent upon context. He did not expect, however, to immediately fall out of the chair he had been transported into. Why did it have wheels on the bottom? Why was it spinning around? Face pressed into carpet, he got to his feet, dusting off his coat. There was. . .some sort of device on the table near him, with a board of keys connected by tubes to a smaller and larger rectangle, which shone with colored light. Someone in the building had heard his fall, and he felt steps drumming on the wood - no, that wasn't wood - flooring. He shut the door, then muttered quietly, Fusing its edges to the doorframe around it. Hell. They were shouting at him, asking if he was okay. Better not to interact with this world's denizens until he had run some observation. The window, expensively made given the quality of its glass - No, that may be the norm here - was partially open to a cold, rainy day. A bird, or something like it, was laughing outside. At him? Maybe. He could see into the backyard of this home, a soulless green rectangle with a withered tree, and over the fence into others. Far in the distance, rectangular towers rose. Arakawa turned back to the table, looked to the door, then snatched the smaller device, disconnecting it from its tubing, and shattered the window with a uttered few words. Then, sighting on the nearest rooftop, he vanished in a puff of golden tethers.

Usually if I play a character with a long ass name, the entire point is for them to be full of themselves. Or, be comedic.

Mayi'Suika'lun Sylric isn't full of herself, but she is a very straight faced character. She can come off as cold, and bitter. The fact her name is a rough translation of "my beloved sugar" is an ironic juxtoposition that, well... Just really makes me giggle
