Tomas Nicodemus sits in his bedridden status, his bones still sore and bruised from the events of the Blood Mages. Reading a pressed and prim copy of the text, he finishes after several hours of arduous study. Finally, after having one of the Company of the Wolfs' recent recruits bring him a wooden bed-table, and a set of parchment and ink, he begins to pen a reply to the Hectorius Sparrow of Aeldin.
"Most honored clergyman, I wish to write my formal congratulations for having the courage to speak up in such a trying time. As a Knight of Oren, and a former member of the Kingdom of Aesterwald, my heart is heavy from this war. To choose a side makes me quake with regret, for I have close friends on both sides, whom I have shared in food, adventure, and merriment, in both good time and bad. I ask that you do not view the Aesterwaldians themselves in such a fierce demenour, for I have found that the people that live in that snowy tundra are warm-hearted, and fast friends in their hearths. For a long time I have been a supporter of the Waldenians, though I was never considered one of them, per say. The times have changes that, sadly, changed that view to reflect the more... lax view I have of them. This schism was one of the greatest mistakes in recent history, a huge blunder, that fractured the very fabric of humankind. Though I wish to end this letter soon, for my eyes are demanding some rest and relaxation, I wish to once more offer my support. Speaking out in your position is a brave act to do, as it risks your very life if they happen to come out victorious in this war.
-With love for the faith, and friendship for the House Chivay,
Ser Tomas Nicodemus, of the Company of the Wolf.
