  1. I think with all lore we need to ask: What does this ADD to the server or how does it benefit the server? I'm not a lore master or lore expert so I can't do that question any justice, but food for thought. Edit: But grade A writing anyhow! EditEdit: Ahem, what I'm getting at is it seems a good hunk of this lore is narrative heavy which is excellent in most regards! However, what are the chances of such interesting scenarios happening on this server? Such things are reserved for video games and novels, and seem to fall apart on this server. Sure events could be planned... but we need to look at the casual or the everyday applications of this lore beyond a well written narrative. What would these vampires be doing on a day to day basis? Would the "tone" be there or would it just be monsters running around and attacking people and not much more complex than that?

Materials used for PVP such as iron etc dominates the market. Followed by stuff that enhances your standard PVP items like potions and enchanting.

RP Artifacts are outliers that can go for a huge amount of money sometimes.

Otherwise the economy is pretty much borked.

  11. [[This guild has gone inactive, if someone could please move it to the inactive guilds forum, that would be splendid.]]
  12. [!] A letter returns to Eloah'ra Rohkea via a near featherless raven, stumbling towards her. To Whom it may concern. We shall need to meet in the Caliphate promptly to discuss your entry into the worshipful Guild.
  13. The Astronomers’ Guild "Nullius in verba" Structure The Worshipful Guild of Astronomers is liberally structured, the supposed “ranks” of the Guild only exist for governance purposes and defining students and professionals. The Celestial Synod The governing body of masterful and adept Astronomers and Stargazers of the Guild. An unlimited number of Astronomers can be appointed to the Synod, however; they must first be elected by the sitting Synod. Head of the Synod is the Guild Master who is the elected leader of the Astronomers’ Guild who oversees the political and administrative side of the Guild. Affiliates Full members of the Guild, Affiliates are those who have been trained in the basics of celestial observation and qualified to work alongside the adepts of the Synod, and carry out their own independent research. Novitiates Those who have just pledged their minds to the science of the heavens. Novitiates are tasked with assisting Affiliates and Synod adepts with their research and doing other various chores for the Guild’s betterment. Studies The Guild of Astronomers inquires about an array of subjects. Not only do we look into the heavens and beyond but also what principles that drive these celestial movements. Such questions as: What is darkness and light? Where is heaven and the nether realm? What causes weather? and other topics pertaining to the mystical spheres as well. Students will be introduced to the preparatory basics of the empyrean realm as they assist the more adept astronomers in their own studies. All research is accessible by the public eye for use and further inquiry, the Guild serves to only discover and educate, not manipulate. Consorting Any who desire may become a scholar of the wandering bodies, they need simply inquire below with the following letters: Name:((MC Name)):Any prior expertise in astronomy or other sciences? The applicant will be contacted post haste to meet a member of the Celestial Synod for further questioning as to where one might fit within the Guild. Note, however, that while all of the decendents’ children are free to educate themselves on the skies, not all are eligible to join the Guild. The Guild was founded for the explicit purpose of like minded, and “High” minded individuals to discover the greater mysteries. A certain mental maturity and prowess is required to join the Guild, though all are still welcome to frequent the Guild should they have their own discoveries or ideas to discuss.
  14. Anyone's character interested in Astronomy out there?

  15. Notice From this point forward, no Poems need be written. If one wishes to join the Company they need simply approach one of the Board members through word of mouth. "Have a good today and a better tomorrow." -The Wizards' Guild-
  16. Notice We would ask that all 'appliers' contact one of the Board members of Ambros (Sagwort), Ibar (Crippledbacon), Wikz (Abysmall), or Laieh (Jallentime), so that they may further test your capabilities.
  17. Notice There has been a minor change to the admittance process. Now one must simply provide the Wizards' Guild with an eloquent poem explaining the sort of magick they wish to learn and/or know, why they wish to join, and what their fruit of choice is. Then, the aspirant must contact one of the Board members so that we may review both you and your poem. Apply accordingly.
  18. [[For the sanctity of this post, please put your applications in a spoiler due to the length of the application.]]
  19. Notice After a prolonged absence the Wizards' Guild has been reborn by the works of Chair-Wizard Ambros and Councilor Ibar Elsiol. We are currently looking for a base of operations and intend to return to normal procedures as usual. New members are currently being accepted, simply submit a Test Subject Member Application and provide a poem explaining why you wish to join, the type of magic you wish to learn and/or know, and your favorite fruit.

  21. - A near featherless raven would return to Dain Stormcrow, convulsing up a slimy letter from within its bowels. - To Whom it May Concern, Though we do not write poetry within the Guild of Historians, your poise with words and weaving them together in these fine verses is very desirable amongst writers of history. I would congratulate you for your acceptance into the venerable Guild of Historians. Do contact me so that an interview might take place to determine your place within the Guild and conduct further testing on your knowledge of history. Yours Truly, Most Regards, In Anticipation, Sincerely, Senior Historian Ambros
  22. I agree with Pandan. Although I would love to see this implemented as the core magic system (please god), it does seem rather broad on its own. In fact, it almost works as it's own sub-type (ie. druidism, arcanism, shamanism, etc...) seeing as it can do most of the things every other magic sub-type can do simply through different methods which is essentially what separates each sub-type from each other, the method by which the caster goes about using their magic.
  23. -For Later Use-
  24. What an idea! I also love the Mistborn series. If ever we decide to redo magic altogether (that'll be the day) I would like to see this made the canon magic lore in-general. It's so straightforward and well...'simple' for the player to incorporate into role play. I see you really thought this through with the various materials and even the little rolling system you incorporated which I appreciate and I think more magic users should use. It would also force the players to actually use rp items whilst rping the magic. Though this might be only an addition to the current magic system, I think that this works excellently as a stand alone system for magic which I would do a back flip for to make it the official magic lore. Adding things to it would also be easy, just add another material. P.S. There is also endless possibilities to incorporate science into this sort of magic based on the material used. P.S.S. I do agree that there are some kinks that need working out, but other than that it's an excellent concept.
