  1. "Oh no, oh Godan - not good." Maxim the Haeseni Squire ponders aloud, running about to make sense of the Princess' disappearance. "The boss is going to have our heads for this."
  2. "The opinion of schismatics are invalid by default. They make baseless complaints of His Holiness, but conveniently forgo the wrongdoings of their own excommunicated rulers - makes them just as bad, methinks." Maxim the Ayrian Peasant whispered to Kaustantin from behind, having returned home for Tuvmas.
  3. i await the inevitable crash of the warclaim server and the subsequent 1 year postponement on any further warclaims
  4. "How could the Fidei Defensor do this..." Maxim the Magnanimous Haeseni Peasant mutters upon reading the tabloid, in which he regards the protection of Canonists in a war which Oren started, and now find themselves unfortunately on the retreat as a result of their poor calculations. "Thought it was those Horen-Novellen folks who always worshipped the lizard people anyway, they've got dragons on their flags and everything!"
  5. KRUSAE ZWY KONGZEM EA BYK ZWE ZANYOTSKER ZWEER EA TER PETRAVEZKER ZWEM UNEIN FITSKZ Privej to all my compatriots, both on the war and home fronts, The Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska finds itself embroiled in yet another continental war, this time, against the Empire of Oren, our once traditional ally and overlord - albeit under strenuous circumstances during those times. Conflicts of these scales are never a simple affair that can be so easily categorized morally, families will be torn apart by allegiances, and many will derive their hostilities from the notion of inherent superiority, allowing them to slander and slaughter their fellow Man with impunity. At the current rate, the devastation brought upon uswill be of a tremendous scale unlike seen since the War of the Two Emperors - dark days ahead, in which Humanity will only serve to lose if the Kingdom of Haense does not act. However, this war is also borne of necessity, a necessity that warrants the unfortunate death of many, for just as a gardener would trim the rot from his plants, so too must the Realms of Canondom, and her allies, trim the Empire of its rot, and ensure the continued and prosperous survival of our peoples. This blight, the Rulers of Oren, has proven itself to be Almaris’ most consequential and destabilizing force of governance. Plagued by the intrigues of palace assassinations, and wanton usurpation, Philip III of Novellen, has attempted to the dictation of blind unity, riding on a wave of popularity that saw him enthroned - as if indirectly demanding the vassalization of all Humanity once more. His first fault. The Kingdom of Haense does not take kindly to these attempts. Our ancestors fought tenaciously for our continued independence, eventually released of our obligations by Empress Anne, for our continued resistance proved too much to bear for the Institutions of Oren. In his attempts to propagate the notion of total unity, Philip has galvanized what could have been his most powerful ally in the human realms, his Empire now left alone as the world bears down upon it - resorting to the purchasing of petty bandits to further his goals. Haense shall not be so easily cowed by these belligerent imperialist aspirations. However, it is not only Philip’s excited words, but also a plethora of actions that have proved his alienation - for knowledge has arisen that his family, and maybe even himself, were either complicit, or directly responsible for in the assassination of the late Prince Imperial of the Orenian Empire, the would-be Emperor - his own father. Whatever excuse they present in attempts to mitigate these claims are met with no acceptance, for even the High Pontiff of the Church of Canon has made his judgment on this matter, excommunicating the Emperor, his wife, the Empress, and the Prince of Savoy. It is now our duty, in accordance with the Poenitentia Incompleta, to see them removed should they refuse the Will of the Church. And so, with our intention to depose the ruling hierarchy of Oren, our crusade has been blessed by the High Pontiff - the Fear and Love of God shall be reinstilled in the hearts of these lost sheep. In another bout of insanity, Philip also plotted for the establishment of the Michaelite Schism, an attempted religious divide that faced such intense scrutiny that it lasted but a few days after it was declared in the Palace of Savoy - what sort of Emperor schemes so blatantly against God, his Vicar, and his Church? His unapologetic lust for power clouds his mind. If it were not for the presence of Jurgen Barclay, myself, and of the Haeseni as a whole at the coronation, would the High Pontiff still be with us on this plane of existence? For these actions, the Emperor supposedly did his penance, but it was later discovered that he was but a snake lying in the grass, as aforementioned, it was revealed that he had his part in the assassination of his father. As Fidei Defensor, Haense must put this twice excommunicated Emperor to rest if he does not do so himself. “Though a thief may find refuge and the blasphemer speak softly, the Lord’s eye is cast over all sin. To reject Him in private is the truest rejection, the lasting condemnation.” (Spirit 2:14-15) With the assertion of Philip to the Imperial Throne, we have seen his rabid interactions in which he attacks all he wrongfully perceives to be a threat, as if he were a mangy dog one could find in the slums of Providence. His first act of diplomacy from the throne was to recommence the war the Grand Kingdom of Urguan had just concluded upon the death of the late Emperor - a war in which the Urguanite saw no need to continue, but were instead dragged back into it. It could be believed this was to solidify his reign, as his ascension was under tenuous circumstances or perhaps to recoup some ‘lost prestige’, however, he played his cards without even first consulting the greater impact his offensive actions may have upon Almaris. I hope this is to be his last fault, for the Realms of Almaris now converge on him, to depose an Emperor that has brought so much chaos in such a short time. And so, with all these culminating, the Kingdom of Haense finds itself at war with the forces of Oren. We fight for our continued independence in the face of Imperialist Expansionism, we fight for the Church in opposition to a Godless Emperor, we fight for allies aggressed upon wantonly. As my friend, the Lord Palatine, would write in his Chancellor’s Report, “Not only have our allies been aggressed upon by the Emperor, but it is also our duty as the Fidei Defensor to heed the call of the High Pontiff. We were left with no choice but to act.” The Emperor has played his hand, it is our part now to see its end - we must sever this limb so that he may never curse our lands with his chaos once more. I only hope that Humanity in its entirety will prevail through these trying times. I wish you all good fortune in the wars to come, Firr Maxim of the Attenlund, Royal Alderman PROTECT THIS REALM OF OURS
  6. "My dashing looks must have won me all those votes..." Maxim mumbles to himself, "Time to get to work!"
  7. Maxim remembers the day he was made to guard the Duma Hall by chance, as its assembly renewed the defensive alliance with Urguan months prior to the ultimatum sent by the Emperor of Oren - he groans, unwilling to go any further as he is reminded of how stiff his legs were for having stood for so long. He wonders why the Orenians think this was some sort of ploy, when the Hall was open to the public. The thoughts are shaken away as he simply marks the Orenian concerns as poor attempts to grasp some sort of moral superiority.
  8. Taken by the spirit of Faiz Kharadeen, Maxim inexplicably utters an unknown saying upon hearing of Sir Mohammad's resolution, "Alhamdulillah."
  9. "A righteous war!" Maxim declares joyfully whilst on march, blessed by the Pontificate to tear down the Orenian Administration.
  10. Think Philip III should only get the moniker "the Great" if he can decisively win this Coalition War

  11. Maxim marches forth from Karosgrad along with his assigned contingency of Haeseni soldiers as they make way to wage war on Oren - a big smile on his face, kept oblivious to the imminent devastations of war. "KRUSAE ZWY KONGZEM!"
  12. IGN: seannie Whilst off-duty from his responsibilities as a Brotherhood Oathedman, Maxim found himself perusing through the newly posted Nominations of 403 E.S and as he reads through the criteria for eligibility, an epiphany strikes him - why wait for change when you could be the propagator of such yourself? With determination instilled in his heart, the peasant turned soldier acquires his own form for application, completes it, and mails it off to the Office of the Lord Speaker. His bid for Alderman has been made. Character Name: Maxim Attenlund Age: Twenty-One Place of Residence: County of Ayr, Duchy of Valwyck Position: Alderman Firr Maxim Attenlund's Place of Residence, Ayr.
  13. Haeseni war correspondents run about attached to the Dweds of Urguan, recording the events that unfolded within New Providence for the Golden Crow Chronicles (GCC).
  14. Max rubs his hands together very Haesenily, plotting the downfall of Humanity through the machinations of the Church and the Muldav Menace.
  15. "As previously remarked - Orenian words are like wind. I do not see a modicum of respect behind these thin veils of theirs. Their assault on the Pontiff, and subsequent fabrications was a deliberate attack on the entirety of Cannondom - the punishment, the penance, I hope, is to be scaled much higher. To even attempt the assumption of your own penance, while being at the mercy of the Church, is an audacious act in itself. The snakes will strike again when His Holiness is least ready, they simply did not account for the bravery of Haense the last time they tried. These new Orenians are a farce, and should be treated as such!" Maxim the Educated peasant said aloud to himself behind his quadruple bunker doors, almost as if he was crazed.
  16. Sigismund 2 no longer screeches in the void as the world was returned to its rightful place with the return of Reinmar to House Barclay.
  17. "How progressive!" Maxim remarks, his hands clapping together in celebration along with the gathered crowd in Karosgrad learning of the announcement.
  18. The gate's guard, Maxim, responds wholeheartedly, "Yes, mlord! They're no better than the snakes that were their progenitors." he clamored along, excited by the happenings that he just experienced. "I say we cut off their heads, let the rest of these schismatics wither away without it - put some sense back into these Orenians. They've forfeited their lives by assaulting the Vicar of God anyway." he concludes with an affirmative nod of his head, carefully observing the traffic trickle into Karosgrad.
  19. Maxim spits to the side in typical peasant fashion, cursing out the following, "Ain't no point following this treacherous schismatic Savoyard puppet, Anti-Popes be damned to the Void. Damn that Principality of Snakes also, breaking the laws of hospitality!"
  20. Maxim of Attenlund - famed peasant of Haense - escorts the righteous Pontifex, Everard VI, out of the Den of Savoyard snakes that was their Royal Palace, having quickly secured a route of escape before they converged on His Holiness.
  21. Maxim enjoys himself the jolly and holly Tuvmas festivities of the season throughout Haense, especially anticipating the coming lighting of the Tuvmas tree in the center of Karosgrad - blissfully ignoring the Orenian implosion to the south as he pops open another chocolate from his advent calendar.
