  10. TO THE CITIZENRY 9th of First Seed, 22SA I write today to you the citizenry first and foremost to announce that this year of taxes have been paid in full by the de Salier Family. Any citizens that have already paid tax shall have that amount carried over to the following year. The initial year of establishing Luciensburg has shown more great promise. Trade has flowed smoothly into our city and many good citizens have established themselves. The city and it's successes are to benefit all and so we're further reducing the initial housing costs. In particular I would honor two members of the public. Antonius, first Knight of Luciensburg who triumphed over a Norlandic warrior who sought to disrupt the peace of Luciensburg. Famously Antonius is known as the 'Bread Knight' as he had at the backend of the duel sheathed his weapon and bludgeoned the man with a loaf of Bread until he yielded. Ambrose, first Steward of Luciensburg who has settled many of our first citizens into their new homes within our Capital and has opened one of the first businesses of the city. Ambrose has previously worked with the Metinan Company and his labors have not gone unnoticed. I look forward to the years ahead and I assure you myself and the many good men leading Luciensburg are hard at work. With good fortune we may see some of the fruits of those labors soon. In particular I look forward to seeing the establishment of our First Council of Commoners. -RdS
  11. Were it not for Lord Fiske Vanir's gracious hospitality the Metina and by extension Luciensburg may have never existed. Vasiland will always be the first place that showed us kindness. -RdS

  13. Renault takes time to read over the papers remarking "Well written and I can't help but agree with the wise Theodric, but still a bunch of pagan gobbledygook."
  14. i don't think you have the right CA for that
  15. Pretty cool lore +1. I would imagine optimal player count for this would be 3-5. Tbh I think it works better as event/lore chars then a full on CA just because it seems like a niche that would be difficult to maintain for 5months+ [Cursed even less if you do not ingrain yourself into another]. I think the biggest difficulty that would come w/ playing such a creature is obtaining consistent roleplay if you're a player that typically bounces from place to place. One thing I would recommend is providing more consequential interactions w/ the Zakhrifa. Either by having a hard limit on how many Zakhrifa [req: 2 p month] you can produce and having consequences for Demi-Djinn who are betrayed by those they gift the Zakhrifa [death/temp curse status] to. For example if you build a trust and contract w/ a person and they destroy/give the Zakhrifa to someone with malicious intent. This is based on the assumption that Demi-Djinn function best as a patron/advisor type figure that build very close connections with 1-2 people.
  16. Renault schemes a way to profit off of the new movement. He goes to show the men working on Luciensburg his latest idea. @ausubung@Lionbileti
  17. Would hope to see a GM involved or someone from the opposing side actually say something on a thread instead of just sweeping it under the rug when it is inconvenient.

Yeah, they'll just ignore this and hope it goes away. The only way to hurt staff enough and force something to happen is to take player activity away from the server and there's really no way to do that.

Edit: And yes, the only way to get what you want on LoTC is to find a means in which to quite literally cause harm in some manner. They literally don't care until something forces them to care.

Drfate is correct. All of these dumb decisions staff have made in recent years wereΒ to coddle existing nations and boost activity, and they won’t change anything unless said activity drops.

  18. Seems less productive since the core of the issue is that GMs are present and allowing this to occur. Less worried about people being banned and more about preventing these things from happening in the future.
  19. Just felt it was necessary to bring up the recent issue where a group was allowed to get around the PVP lock and also teleport players away. Not looking to put anyone in particular on blast but this is a consistent problem. Issues that should have simple solutions are drawn out into hour long round table discussions that often result. The core of my issue with this is that the whole of the community should be held to the same standard and not be able to wear down the opposition for the purposes of avoiding consequences. The core complaints I have regarding this incident is that players were allowed to: Use PEX to TP away from and avoid conflict. Ignore a PVP lock and have 12+ extra players involved who were not present at the initial lock. D40 to avoid conflict (which is a suicide) If raiders are held to a higher standard then the same should be placed on defenders.
