  1. Mages from across the many realms of the realm begin to hone their crafted after being granted some generations to hone their magic. However, at this time the magic wielded by the different mortals across the realms is primitive, often tied to the very climates which the mortals dwell in. The Sentori find themselves more inclined to earthen based magic, preferring to imitate Re’Juvena by performing magical feats to improve harvest, and mold trees together to form hovels. Magic is seen by most as a gift from their patron god and the wielders of such magic as prophets close to their gods. Whereas in some cultures the very practice of magic may begin to be seen as odd, and abnormal. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Adonis was a young man living under the rule of an unnamed feral god in the eastern region of the mainland, he was not alive during the creation of magic on the mortal plane, but he was birthed 6 years after to a tribal band of humans, they were in the realm of the feral gods too many to count. The young man grew up poor, his father Arkus and mother Ravina being apart of this hunter gatherer society lived off the lands they dwelt in, they seemed to be on a constant migration in a westward direction as they were accompanied in a small tribe of close family members numbering around 23. It was odd, but the large herds of animals they migrated with to live off of for the past 6 years had been migrating farther and farther west immediately after the day the lights in the sky appeared.. It had been 16 years after that day, when Adonis was 10 years of age that his entire life changed. It was immediate, but a band of marauders who worshipped a different feral god came upon their tribe in seconds, it was largely unexpected and abrupt. Adonis was just tending to the main camp fire of the tribe when he heard loud shouting, and clanging. He turned left and saw his cousin crumple to the ground with a large spear jutting out of his bleeding chest. Right and he saw his little sister fall too, an arrows shooting right through her skull. Right and left men wearing cougar pelts around their bodies came and attacked his family.. He was frozen in shock and terror as this was so sudden.. He did not know what to do… Before his eyes his mother yelled his name “Adonis run!” She shouted as the young boy turned his head to face her he saw that this would be her last words as a cougar warrior cleaved her in the side of the head with an axe.. He didn’t know how to react and crumpled to the ground in defeat, and pure terror at what was in store for him.. His eyes welled up as he saw what was being made of his family and many other tribes in these hostile lands.. Before he saw a couger warrior run towards him.. His emotions welled up and his body began to shake, though it was not out of fear.. Instead his fear turned to pure anger and he looked towards the couger warrior who was charging him.. Oddly enough he had no fear despite certain death coming upon him. In this moment Adonis changed, a voice echoed in his mind in an alien voice and spoke cryptic runes that were completely undecipherable to his mortal mind “ᚨᚾᛞ ᛋᛟ ᚹᛟᚾᛞᛖᚱᛗᛖᚾᛏ ᛁᛋ ᛒᚱᛟᚢᚷᚺᛏ ᚢᚾᛏᛟ ᛏᚺᛁᛋ ᚹᛟᚱᛚᛞ, ᚨᚾᛞ ᚾᛟᚹ ᛁ ᛋᛚᛖᛖᛈ.” These words seemed to activate something in him as a bright white light erupted from his body, enveloping his vision for what seemed like hours…. Some years passed from that day.. Adonis now a man has travelled far west after the day he became a pyromancer. The now man followed where the migrating animals had been guiding his tribe this entire time to the Mountain of Creation, where magic was brought upon the land. He had been the first of many to travel there and gaze upon the runestone where A’aus the slumbering God of Magic lays dormant. There he and the other mages, many of whom used cartography to follow the ley-line threads to the Mountain island. There mages of all walks of life feel reinvigorated and are able to used magic at a far greater efficiency than those who continue to life away from the island. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the past decade since its discovery, the Mountain of Creation has became a site of pilgrimage for the adventurous and lucky. Here wielders of magic of all walks of life are able to practice their arts, the weavers of earthen magics becoming the builders able to terraform parts of the island to create primitive hovels of mud, sandstone, clay. Additionally, magic begins to become integrated into the lives of those who have found pilgrimage here. The island becomes a rather peaceful place where mages are able to share ideas, and begin philosophizing. The predominant form of food is a mix of different farmed goods brought from other realms which is spearheaded by the nature-based magics who are able to enhance growth. As well as a large fishing culture which is headed predominantly by sea-based wielders of magic. This coalition remains primitive, as there are strong cultural divides between those who come from more civilized cultures and tribal based cultures. Despite this Adonis being the first leader of these individuals who have yet to determine, or care for a name. While there is little culture, some mages have begun to worship the runestone as a god itself, while others refuse to let go of the gods they worship.. There is great tension between these two groups of worshippers of the runestone and those who would otherwise continue worshipping their gods, however in the meantime Adonis is doing well to quell the tension between these parties. On the surface he himself remains neutral, however, in truth he himself worships the runestone believing whatever within to hold the secrets of the knowledge he so desires, having long since rid himself of his previous worship due to the feral god his family worshipped not being able to protect him from the cougar warriors in his youth. Though his worship has somewhat wavered in his decade on the island, having no interactions, dreams, or visions of the dormant god inside the runestone. How can he expect others from all walks of life to worship that which they cannot see, feel, or even know of. Magic Effects Magic is being offered to all players to be able to integrate it into their culture or to shun Initially one particular subsect of magic will be able to be chosen from as the primary magic of the culture (However it may change as more schools of magic are discovered and magic is further developed) right now magic is based around natural elements and based on ones surroundings. Ex: fire, water, earth, air, sand, etc. Other magic will be able to be used in the future as cultures are further developed and when physical/ideological trade begins between other gods. Mages are able to worship the god of a given culture, however their worship is less potent than non-mages that continue to use their powers due to it tie to A’aus, a portion of their worship is given to the slumbering god. It all worship is given they may perform more feats due to their closer connection to a'aus. Culturea that do not shunt magic may seen additional boons be grantee to them that is tied to their primary magic of choice. Ex nature based mages granting their culture increased crop yield. Action summary Mages are able to be integrated into other gods cultures Mages have begun to travel to the A’aus’ runestone, there are about 250 people who have successfully travelled there around 120 actively worship A’aus but do not know the god's name A’aus continues to be in slumber and will continue to be for the future Magic is the primary technological focus amongst those on the mountain island, and therefore progresses further in relation to magic of other player characters cultures. Farms and other basic survival needs are tended to by the mages of the island A rift is beginning to form between mages who worship A’aus and those who choose to worship other gods which must be dealt with in 2 turns or tensions will rise into physical conflict. (A'aus only for now)
  2. The mortal plane of existence had been relatively silent since its creation, the gods who flocked to this youthful realm would have gone about their immortal days birthing, thinking, ruling, and accepting the increasing number of worshippers by day. The routines of existence quickly became prominent even as they began to help shape the cultures of the people they held domain over in their fledgling states. While the gods of the realm knew that other immortal spirits were bound to have entered the plane of existence, few truly certain, or even cared for that matter as they focused on imprinting their image unto the realm. However this would soon change… They could sense it, with their godly foresight, like an itch that needed to be scratched, they would have felt it coming for days before it did, the rising sense of anticipation and wonder as to what mysteries were to arrive in the coming days. This was before it came, an alteration to the very makeup of the plane of existence they sat upon… In an instant a blinding blue flash would erupt from the night sky, showering the entirety of the realm in the eternal essence as raw energy was deposited unto the world. The denizens of the plane, humans, Ternesians, Arginians, Muintiri, and all other mortal beings alike would feel drawn to this well of energy that was pouring this mysterious energizing substance into the realms as it was woven into the tapestry of existence. But like all things the light quickly faded back into the recesses of existence, dissipating into nothingness.. Where the light faded new light emerged, aurora lights streamed across the plane seen by the Gods, acting as ley lines of energy which connected the newly formed network of magical energy. Even some mortals could see this arcane borealis, however faint it was. And among those mortal who could see it, they would quickly find themselves able to draw upon the newly laden magical energy.. Mages were born and brought upon the land. Some may revel in their new powers being able to create things like the gods which birthed them and use their powers to further worship their patron gods, some may create guilds, while others may live their entire lives ignorant of their potential. With the creation of magic in the realm, all would change. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On a massive plateau of a mountain island, a lonesome god lingers in its prime form, it was a powerful god, whose appearance was a grand display of celestial bodies comprised in a humanoid form.. It had explored the entirety of existence before yet grew bored in the mundane, seeing most of what already was, yet rarely seeing anything new. After seeing this fledgling world being born A’aus new it must evolve and allow the concept of wonder to be spread across this primitive realm being molded by other gods.. This concept festered in the powerful mind of the god as it formed a ritual that would see its’ will be spread across the realm. While at the cost of the gods knowledge and greater powers A’aus knew that this was merely the cycle all gods must follow once they have explored the infinitum of space, in order to bring back the wanderlust that all gods eventually yearn for. Thus, one night A’aus outstretched his arms into the air and allowed a beacon of blue hued energy to erupt from itself creating the first generation of magic upon the realm, and once more the cycle of this gods life continued and renewed.. Life seemed immemorial, unbounded by the shackles of time.. What was time.. What is this.. What am I? The god.. It was as if A’aus soured through time and space at an infinite speed as all memories, powers, and meaning escaped it godly being.. Before concrete shapes began to emerge into frame… The god felt weak, and it knew little of its meaning as it was reborn.. It knew of its godly existence as if it was ingrained into its very being but knew little else.. It was a curious god, young and fresh, but oddly weak. Trapped in their incorporeal form as they lacked the strength to enter a physical vestige. Light blue arcanic energies whipped about in this form as the curious god gazes upon the realm, and views their creation from afar. A’aus was and is its name, but how did it know that? A strange god that gazed upon the realm and saw a fledgling plane, one that was now unique and magical. A’aus knew this network of magic was its own, and despite its desire to reach out and ****** back that which was its own, A’aus soon came to realize that it was unable to do so and grew frustrated at itself for it was now a weaker god. It did see mortals however, who would seek this power out to draw from it and change the mundane to the magical mimicking the gods themselves that created the mortals. A’aus knew that while it was not as powerful as it once was, perhaps through these mortals communing themselves with his leylines of energy power may once be restored through their unspoken worship.. However now, A’aus was tired, after expending all of its previous energy it would need a long sleep to restore enough energy to restore a physical form. The weakened god continues to gaze upon the realm from his throne of creation and is content as he utters to itself “Today wonderment is created in this realm.. But for now I rest..” The incorporeal ball of arcane energy merely willed a large runestone into existence as it was erected from the earthen floor of the plateau.. A’aus quickly gazed upon the world beyond the mountain island before allowing its incorporeal form to be drained within the rune stone.. Transitioning back into a non-conscious state of being as it awaited its stores of energy to return back to it… Waiting..
  3. God App Name: A’aus (Ah-ous) Symbol (Water, plants, fire, etc): Incorporeal arcane mass – Humanoid figure Race (Default human): N/A Nation Name: The Aozuul (Not an actual nation just a guild of followers based solely on the island of origin) Nation Symbol: A blank blue banner with a white circle at the center Nation Terrain (Plains, desert, etc): A lone mountain island just off the coast south of the big volcano in the center of the map, the terrain is standard forested island with a large mountain in the center Race App Name: Magic Wielders Originating Race: Any unless specified otherwise Features (hair colors, etc): Retain any and all physical features of their race however they have a spark which allows them to wield magic to varying degree. (which can be specified by you or follow arcane guidelines of LOTC to keep streamlined) Skin Color: Any (The god is basically the creator of magic in the world, and I plan to create a small guild of mages/adventurers that learn to follow him in the future, however they will not be directly created by him. The race he creates is not an actual race but among all races created by other gods, giving them a spark to be able to use magic to varying degrees, therefore they are not directly tied to him or have to worship him, but instead have an unclarified connection as when they use magic it is technically drawing from A’aus. If this needs to be specified further feel free to pm me, just feel like having a god like this that has no goals to actively expand their worshipers could be interesting)
  4. Can just play a smaller handling that calls themselves gnomes tbh.
  5. In Raphael defense, strigae rp isn't really secluded it's near nonexistent to the high majority of players on lotc. But I'm a believer of not having any form of vampirisn on the server as a whole.
  6. I agree, what I was thinking was to introduce a post kind of like the old creature idea post that people could submit ideas for household spells that could be approved or denied and added onto the main post as necessary.. However, I feel like there should be some minor amount of freeform nature to this. Having an application or having to vet all your ideas with the lt every time you want to do something that is not on the spell list could be a cumbersome system. The way I view it is that household magic is like tier .5 of every void magic. If you have an accepted ma you should be trusted enough not to abuse this. That's how it was under the... Old old old.. Old MA system as supremacy described it to me.
  7. Think a resubmission is necessary, is household magic going to be set to just the spell list? Or still allow (minor) freeform use. Like summoning a quill to write with using minor void translocation or an illusion spell to increase the volume of ones voice. If this would still be allowed under household, I feel like it should be clearly stated. If not allowed, this point is moot.
  8. A note is posted on the Caras Eldar public forum written simply yet neatly stating: "Old robes were somehow misplaced from my body.. I am in need of new robes, I seek out whoever can assist me in weaving new robes of the finest materials. Contact Beranabus Seregon so we shall meet and discuss in person on a reward." (In need of a new skin, either permanently or for the time being, I would like the skin to be created in roleplay jointly between my char and another. However I am not a skinner. Feel free to pm me and respond to this post. The payment method may be discussed in roleplay)
  9. Strange watching when people complain there is no RP and when RP is given to them they do their best to get out of it.

truly we live in a society

  10. I agree with others that said to just put it on the roleplay forums instead of posting it as lore as any form of casting magic for the most part is allowed aesthetically. This should probably be moved. But if not this would be cool, my character and others use incantations to a degree. I like the writing down using a runic language. But i feel like the verbal incantation section could use a bit of work. Adding more words to accommodate different a more complex spells for example. Ps: Really feeling the hebrew
  11. The only thing wrong with healing magic is the attitude toward it and the standards of to. If holy magic is a guild locked magic it should be held to higher standards of to by the community using it and the staff. Nothing is wrong with it mechanically imo, i just dislike seeing mundane healers in the middle of healing someone and the person being healed/ a nearby cleric saying "let me heal instead because it's better". this is logical since it is a better form of healing but i think its more of an rp problem brought about by a "meh" to culture.

  13. Heerozero kinda summed a lot in his post he made above, however the ascended lost their magic and any connection to being ascended for like 1 or 2 years and at the end of the map in anthos when setherien was already destroying much of the map they got the magic back. I definitely see both sides of the argument for and against the ascended. The issue a lot of people have being a mix of, Poor RP, only seeing slice of life RP, hostility/mismanagement, and powergaming of magic are brought about by the actual structure of the ascended. As they are the ascended have different sects which divide the guild, this structure under my belief is outdated and doesn't work with the number of ascended there are. I think there should be a stronger focus for the ascended to build a stronger culture for those within the guild, especially the newer ascended. And stress the importance, and perhaps requirement of high roleplay capability. If the ascended are supposed to be some order, beyond political and mortal ties, that are immortals and literal caretakers of souls in aeriels stead, they should act like so in roleplay. In Anthos when they were introduced again, it was pretty fun to roleplay with urasept and the other ascended, but as they dragged on the idea of ascended being beyond mere mortals kind of lessened and the mysticism around them became non-existant. I think ascended can work, but for them to work they need to work on improving their roleplay as a whole and the quality of it. These are just my mismanaged thoughts on the topic, I would write more and in a proper format, but that's effort.
  14. While i dont consider the excess amount of lore as a bloat, moreso than a misuse of lore, and uninclusive nature of rp. i have to agree with what most people are saying. Soul trees are meant to be the end game of druids. saying they are failed amd arent doing what they were meant to be, and creating a new end game isnt going to fix soul trees. this lore will jist have it that noone will want to be a soul tree as this is a more appealing opportunity. If something is wrong with a lore, fix it, make it so more people can rp and find enjoyment with it. dont just go over it and make diff lore thats more appealing. This doesnt go for this lore in specific but all lore. as the previously mentioned mentality is what many would.be lore writers have.
  15. Leylines have been a thing but theres no official lore on it and havent really been used for rp since... athera. why dont you help the loremaker hone the lore to fit preestablished rp around leylines? but tbh there isnt much
  16. Mages have already been able to use void nodes to their benefit which is far more chaotic and powerful than ley lines. I highly doubt that this is made with the intention of benefitimg transfiguration. thats a very assumptious statement. With that said i like this lore as BNK said is a bit lacking in the greatness it can be. would be cool to see what happens if these ley lines converfed naturally to create cool areas/biomes like fantasy twilight forest esk lands. like 1 or 2 such regions per map. itd be dope.
  17. The main intention of this lore and some of the additions were to update the lore, by adding how it interacts with other magic/creatures, as well as to comment on the soul lore avacyn wrote. The only changes to the original lore were that noted in the changes sections which is kind of a tl;dr. The reason I wanted it to be OOC was just to get a general description of some changes that would happen. The heightened aura part is what I was told to add in response to it being a heightened soul, and was told it'd make sense given the lore. But as I said it's all up for change. With that said, the other change that is a big difference between the original lore is the fact that it requires a feat application. That was done with the sole intention being that, 3 years later with the characters that have achieved this, very few actually used the lore without a teacher. There was an unforseen interaction between the conduit and those they guide that was actually really cool which made great roleplay, that people who didn't have teachers couldn't experience. The lock is there to make the experience rewarding. I hope this response answered some questions, thanks for the critique though. If you want we can discuss in pm's or discord if you've any ideas on how you feel about the lore piece, what you like/dislike. There I could also explain more in-depth on things I might have passed over. Edit- As for cognatism, much of that was explained and discussed in the original lore piece. This was before the alteration to Cognatism lore where it includes Voidal Horrors, which is a big reason why it wouldn't fit under cognatism, as this can and has been achieved by people like druids/clerics/shamans, where it wouldn't fit. It's meant to be a feasible thing achieved by any people or race. So it's completely neutral.
  18. I can sense Fords angst. As for the lore, I mean I like the concept of having to battle horrors to achieve this. Not sure if this will be accepted but if it is, or even if it isn't, feel like it should inspire people to do more voidal horror stuff. Technically in the lore they were the first enemy of creation. Would be cool to see more events with them on this map.
  19. Tsuyose basically said everything that's needed to be said. I'd definitely wouldn't mind this being a thing, if it was an aspect that effected the community. If a aengudaemon stole Iblees' mantle as archdaemon I think everyone on the server should RPly discover this, not by us having to seek it out specifically, but large world events taking place. I think the role of aenguls and daemons have shifted a lot in recent years. Definitely think if world events stemmed from this it would be interesting. That or Iblees returning for hte 4th time, but at that point it'd be kind of redundant. If something as great as the shifting of titles from one arch daemon to another happens, it shouldn't be a whisper. It should be something grandiose.
  20. Id wait until this lore, or whatever itiration or clarification is approved. Im going to discuss with all comduits so feel free to comtact me. @Keefy
  21. Conduits of Enlightenment Clarifications/Additions Brief This lore I am going to try and keep as short as possible, this is more so a clarification and update to the Conduits of Enlightenment lore I made in 2015 which you may find linked below in the work cited. This isn’t entirely an addition, but rather an attempt to explaining (some) of the lore, and how it interacts with other pieces created after it. It’s a bit outdated, and while the original lore was made from my characters point of view, this will be entirely OOC based. With that said this isn’t an entire remake, and reading the original lore is recommended to understand this to its fullest as this is not a means of explaining it, but instead enabling it to work with the other lore added since 3 years ago. What is a Conduit of Enlightenment? A Conduit of Enlightenment is the title bestowed upon a descendant who has went through the process of enlightenment and has achieved a new state of existence. Their soul is directly connected to their mind through a ritual that naturally enriches the soul to a greater state via metanoia. This directly affects their everyday existence as they are now at a higher state of being, and understanding of their own soul and those around them. How to become one Originally anyone could become a conduit of enlightenment, and while I believe anyone is able to, and should be open to the lore I also want it to change. In order for your character to enter this state of being you must be introduced to it by a current being who has entered this state. It is a perpetual change that alters the soul of the player themselves, and thus cannot be reversed by any known means at this time. This is done by the conduit teacher guiding the character. The method in which a character can reach enlightenment may vary from player to player. However, the end result is that the player must with the assistance of their guide expel all mana from their body in an instant at the moment a character enters a meditative stasis. This stasis being the exact moment when a person transitions from being normal, to entering a meditative state of mind similar to a void mages connection to the void. Others conduits, because they are so attuned with souls are able to sense when others enter this state of meditation, and are now able to use their own mana as a catalyst in this ritual of connecting the person's mind and soul instead of the person becoming it. Requiring different amounts of mana to be used depending on the person. However, if it is too much for the conduit it is wholly possible for the aspirant to expel their mana instead. And then they become a conduit. Dreaming Dreaming is basically the term for the form of meditation conduits have. Normally when mortals meditate they just enter a state of bliss that the conduits feel indefinitely. A humbling sensation that gives the meditator a sense of peace. However, because Conduits have transcended this and perpetually are in this state, when they meditate instead they slip into a lucid dream like state. In this state they can do literally anything within their minds. They can recreate their own version of Aos, create an infinite forest, or test different things that may be unsafe in the real world. Time is also relative in this state, 1 day in meditation can be 1 hour in the real world, or 1 hour in meditation can be 1 day in the real world. When they enter this state they are essentially The Creator of their own world, which is basically the outcome of what happens whens one's conscious touches their soul. Although it is entirely in their head, but very real to them. Effects This state enriches the superior soul into a greater soul, this does not work instantly as the bolstering of one's soul is gradual, the older the soul is in this state the more potent it becomes akin to that of a aengudaemons patron (This has no mechanical/combative effects). In this state of being the conduit is in a complete state of spiritual equilibrium. They would begin to see the world around them differently as they gain attunement to souls, and the true nature of them. While it is still possible for a conduit to fight, and get into a fight purposefully, as the state of being continues it becomes less, and less likely for them to instigate a fight, but is only a recommended path and may change depending on character interaction. Because of their state of being they gain some other unintended effects. Because of the enriching of their souls their soul essence is enriched. It acquires similar feats as Yeu Rthulus followers, as both created types of bolstered souls. However, it is different. While Conduits to make it twice as difficult for soul puppeteers to curse them. They are not protected from dark magics as followers of Yeu Rthulu have due to their angelic protection. Because of their nature, Conduits are known to have greatly heightened aura akin to a Celestial Mage, as well their Genus is near equivalent to that of a Voidal Horror. Interactions with other magic Voidal- Nothing, their connection to the void may be eased somewhat due to them being in an constant state of peace/meditation. It’s slightly harder to remove someone's concentration because of this. Mental Magic- When in the dream like state, mental magic does not work on them. Dark Arts- Users of Dark Arts specifically Necromancers, Shades, Strength of the Abyss can use this however due to the nature of their corrupted souls the images they see in dreaming are naturally twisted, and dark, if they want to project a tree it will be barren, if they want to project a building it will be a ruin of its intended make. The effects of peace are negated but the effects of paranoia may be lessened slightly, but still present. Frost witch's/Blood mages/Soul puppetry users- They can become a conduit without repercussion. Blood Magic- Their Genus is equivalent to that of the potency of a voidal horror when used as a catalyst for a ritual. Mysticism/Necromancy- They have heightened souls making them powerful catalysts for their dark rituals as well. Aengudaemonic- Monks (Non playable), Ascended, Shamans, Clerics, Druids, Paladins can all use this. Keepers of Xan- Does not work due to relegated soul. You must have a soul present to be able to use this. If you become a keeper after becoming a conduit? (Up to LT, may be interesting Soul Tree Druids- Have to be near the tree for it to work. If out of its general vicinity it will not work. Same rule applies if you become one after being a conduit. -Creatures- Undead- It will never work for any undead creatures Nephilim- Because the change is natural there is no effect, they may use it. Archons- They may use it and gain its effects Daeva- The same effects of shades but amplified (If I am missing anything else please remind me) Changes -Gradually becomes a greater soul akin to Patrons of Aengudaemons, but not tied to one. -Genus/Soul essence is heightened making them susceptible to being great catalysts for dark rituals if this fact is discovered -Requires Magic Feat App to be recorded. -No longer self teachable (It is not rewarding to self teach this, as this is greatly an interaction between the enlightened and those they guide.) -Any active conduit that has been one for 1 IRL month may make a TA. -A conduit teaching another may instead use their own mana to enlighten someone, and can sense the exact moment they are able to do so. -New interactions with other magics -This is a form of a Metanoia ritual, the soul is not changed but instead connected and empowered. Debrief Just wanted to have a debrief, and say that this mostly a clarification using current lore, not adding any new concepts. I have been meaning to add onto the lore itself for quite some time, but have been either busy or too lazy to write any additions. So this is merely a piece of lore i’d like to use to gain the attention of the general community again. Ultimately my goal is to either keep it as it is, or add different expansions so that events and roleplay could stem off from this. I wanted some interaction with other magics, namely blood magic and other dark arts, as while this isn’t a dark art at all, and the users for the most part will likely be wary of dark arts due to the nature of this ritual. I think it would be interesting to see how a potential interaction can be formed. Also, Gladuous brought it to my attention that the actual way people become conduits was kind of lacking, which is why I made it possible for another conduit to create others. If anyone has opinions, gripes, or things you’d like to see added/removed feel free to discuss on the post. That’s what it’s here for. 22. For a first attempt yeah definitely bud. With that said though, It can still be improved. I personally would remove spells and spell names and just have it as a pushing and pulling force that can be applied in certain ways either with more or less mana. From my own opinion at least.
  23. From what I gathered and interpreted from this is that this is moreso a mix of Telekinesis and Air evocation. Voidal magic can effect people, air magic can knock people back, the premise he rose was that this wasn't the evocation of air and using that to force people back, but instead just the force applied by the air evocation, or telekinesis in a one dimensional manner. I/E pushing, pulling. It's basically air evocation which has a different aesthetic, and technically a feat a void mage could do. Is their lore amazing? Not really, but he knows that as he said it's his first lore attempt.
  24. The idea that wards are OP have only arised really because of the overabundance of them on the server, and the users who can make them. A couple years ago, mage wards were basically non-misty fii magic, and could ward basically anything if you had enough knowledge about it. That was when there was only like 4 or 5 active users. And now with like 20 or 30 it obviously would not work. And so that was changed. I've kind of always been a believer that cleric wards were weird when out of combat. I don't think they should be a really common in the way it's been used. It should really be something that is greatly taxing, and requires a lot of people. There should be an app, and there should really only be maybe 1 or 2 sites that are warded. With that said these sites because it'd be so limited should be able to be the site of sutica, and should greatly reduce the ability of undead, and potentially just demanifest lesser undead like ghouls, and ghosts. They shouldn't block out other undead, but should render it absolutely useless for undead to be in these warded sites without complete preparation and an army behind them. I think this addition fixes the issue pretty well. But if wards were removed completely it'd make Sutica a pretty big target for undead to attack because there's no holy protection around it weakening them. It's illogical to think the literal hub for holy people wouldn't be protected by a divine force.
