So I am going to make a attempt at a big irk of mine with nexus regions.
Nexus regions carves up nations for no particular reason. Places like Oren have literally had massive issues where someone ((Usually a impovrished noble)) starts getting cocky and claims a region that falls (( Usually at the bleak of night through setting alarms at 4am or something.)) It then makes every single issue pop up because literally a lord who had tennants who went OOCly on holiday lose their plot and then someone moves in and declares it their own and screws up any RP regarding the location as they tear down the build.
Do we really want to on LOTC have a system where entire nations or illegal are carved into small little enclaves surrounded by trees with no RP justification and then sit there regardless of the RP or the fact that they are in the heartland of a nation of Oren with the one of the strongest military forces that has ever been seen on the server with them incapable to act at all? I don't.
The reality is that nexus regions carves up RP and makes little non-sensible builds that usually build terrible and of course, the prrevalent issue of 'Roadside fortresses'. It takes all strategic boundaries that might exist and removes them and allows groups that had no place to be there to ignore other RP groups and basically ignore RP for their own needs.
And lets not get started on the fact that people literally make skyscraper style houses to make greater use of their regions extending into the sky vertically in nearly impossible to engineer structures.
Tl;dr?
I honestly would like, if people agree with me, to see a discussion on moving away from the nexus system and instead just making fluid and realistic borders, even if only for the core nations.
