So this is factually incorrect. The current system we have now is a slightly modified system of what me and Menarra created back when he first became a administrator a few months ago. During that time, myself and Menarra co-wrote the blacklist system, the raid pass idea and common evils (named by us as evils justified to a normal man in dire circumstances.) and greater evils system. When we first made it, it was a design note that upon application to the server every single new player would acquire a common evils when applied and everyone else would be grandfathered in. They just stood as a standing point for what Greater Evils was. This meant everyone could commit a certain level of evil and, as long as they performed it in a fair and enjoyable manner then they would see nothing bad happen. If they screwed up on it, they would be blacklisted. Most importantly however, they were all grandfathered in. Everyone had common evil, it was just a benchmark. Currently we see that everyone has to apply and 'opt in', showing that the mentality towards the system I had made has changed. I with Menarra had created a system that I viewed improved upon the old VA system, by allowing only application for prime evil players and a expectation they kept in character past that point. This system requires that the common evil is ditched and instead a always opt in ''Do you have a VA for that'?' is made. The adminstrative backend is seemingly unnecessary and it makes a large amount of red tape of what was going to be in the system I had created back then. Instead of there being a short list of evil characters we have a list encompassing the entire playerbase of the server for a bland ''lesser evil'' app that serves no purpose. Thus, as a person who can atleast say they contributed to the creation of this VA system inadvertently, that I do not approve of it at all and it has lost the original design intentions entirely. I would offer to fix it however, at least show the community what I had in mind instead, but you appear to have created the VA system on the google document I own and hadn't touched for 4 months and I don't want to destroy this work.

Your correct. Dwarves got tired of the war when peace was offered repeatedly under terms of the entire north and a kingdom name change, and our bank sacrificed. Yet they got in response "we are only doing this to make a easy casus beli." OOC, and then Hobo was DDOSed for a week. This war has nothing left to offer in dynamic RP, at all. Peace was offered and denied because Oren must maintain a war to maintain its self, otherwise they will infight. Their leadership knows it, we know it, everyone knows it. Lets at least stop kidding ourselves. Lets not forget that the war that lead to the fall of the empire saw aggression against the dwarves first by the Kingdom of Oren. The only dwarf who thought with Renatus and Aesterwald was me alone.

You can say Oren had established RP reason to go to war with Haelun'or over the death of their king, till you realise that their king died trying to forcefully take them over demanding vassalge. Your right, but the dwarves did not antagonize humanity when you forget the dynamic of events. If you want to look at this as one massive war since your time (Which aparently Oren does) then sure, however it is not ultimately the case in recent history. Peace was achieved, between the last conflict and this once. Laureh'lin was attacked, afterwards, by High Elves. Dwarves assisted Laureh'lin, and the Kingdom of Oren assisted the high elves. They lost casus beli but continued a war on part of the fact that they probably only joined for the sake of making the Kingdom of Oren boost its activity through constant war. And Oren does do that 'Die Heathen', it does it to dwarves on the road and elves on the road and I have seen it done many times, it also uses OOC measures just the same. A sub race should have the option to not be conquered by another force or puppeted. So please tell me what I am making up?

Indeed, so it is best instead to take all egotist entities and threaten them equally to force co-operation. While the undead were ultimately a massive failure their ability to unite the entire map was brilliant. So it is also fair to say that a real antagonist should be made.

A antagonist made of the wrong players with the wrong attitudes does not provide well. I rarely consider "Heathen you are scum die" a contribution to the server, but it is the intention of a entire order and that it the only roleplay I have seen them provide in 3 separate encounters. War for the sake of war is a joke. They fail to provide in that role in any manner and their diplomacy is based around feeling powerful and providing to themselves and not the playerbases they contest. That is why Oren will never be a antagonist of any merit.

You know that this is entirely situational. The crucifixtions and the excessive members of every nation really do make it worse for the majority and the pseudo-christian mass crucifixions on roads hardly gives a good impression. And we both know that they have nothing short of those intentions with some nations. They placed in a favorable leader everywhere and while its all fine and dandy it produces a disparity between conflicting playerbases with conflicting interests in the very nature of RP by actually crushing the other. And it does happen. War short term boosts activity long term kills it. War needs to be toned down, and Oren does too. But it is not up to hiding behind illegitimate OOC barriers like the intrigue we saw here. Its the administrations place to make these barriers.

No, the reality is that it was a very clear DDOS. Nice making up excuses though. I don't think that a population or entire culture should be allowed to be placed under another in such a manner on such a scale as a entire subrace. Staff intervention should be a natural option to this. However, they should have spoken openly to the administration with such concerns.

Why does Oren need to be in charge? The reality is that with Oren being in charge and a norm is established where Oren is able to dictate every action on the server then they will kill any group that even moves to oppose them in any manner through PVP and OOC. When Hobo went to peace talks and didn't give Oren the answer they wanted he was downed for a week. There is no joke there ,its DDOS for nation politics. Under those terms or the sheer fact that cyber crime in now a option for winning the game means that if I was in the same situation I would refuse to budge until it stopped. The server is not mature enough for this conflict. Oren's RP motivations are flimsy at best, when a decade passes RPly between fighting but they resume a warclaim just because it was to boost activity for their new king and they say at peace talks 'Hand over the treasury, but we will warclaim anyways, we just want a easier Casus Beli.' Its war for the sake of them wanting to feel powerful. So I have a question for you Coaster, why should Oren be allowed to take charge given the means they have used to achieve it? What does this ''I win at RP'' attitude contribute to the server?

I wouldn't say he spawned it as much as the personification of it. In the super ancient dwarven view I don't think he was, I think he was just around during the founding of the first kingdom with the void magics and maybe good skills as a lazy fat man clan father. Keep in mind that the iterations of the religion changed a lot from super ancient hate spree of celestial presence apparent in the very beginning of the Empire of Khorvad to the liberal politically corrupt Kirkja Dverga that existed for over 1500 years afterwards that every text slowly and appointment slowly corrupted more to the point where we forgot our entire history and point of our religion. The lore also added in a lot from the openly bland and boring Aegis lore with no room for expansion to what is shaping up to be very good but terribly terribly horribly implemented dwarven lore of current days.
