  1. First: Nerf electrical evocation so that every person does not opt to use it instantly and demand you die on the spot in 1 hit 1 kill heat seeking super bolts. Second. Mith was right when he said everyone roleplays being a super dooper magic man, Lago too. Everyone eventually hits Tier 5, so there should be a limit placed on how powerful each mage can get in how many arts. Lack of variety and co-operation is a thing, right now everyone roleplays a cure-all character. Action does need to be taken.
  2. Lori notes this heretical cry.
  3. Insert status about bragging/gg/complaint on war. Inflame other side wisely, very productive.

  4. The Oathcast Clan "Narak oz da Brathmordakin, Ograhad var akhoral oz da anaros." The Oathcast clan finds its beginnings in Athera, founded after a formal schism occurred with the Kirkja Dverga and sub-sects of the Dwedmar populace in the Grand Kingdom. This lead to a formal exit of the Grand Kingdom by its members, bearing heavy prejudice over their perception of the Brathmordakin and the nature of Yemekar's balance. It now spends its time in its holding of Khaz’Ruhn, researching the ways of their ancestors with occasional contractual services regarding the multiple fields that the clan studies. The Clan also prides itself on it Golemancy and Runesmithing advancements researched within Athera, contributing as some of the foremost experts of the modern dwedmar in the arts. Appearance “Kadrel da dwed narhe, thorokian nar velukrumm.” The Oathcast adopt an appearance appropriate to their new found surroundings. Many adopt winter coats and articles of clothing to provide protection in the harsh ice fields they occupy, and all dye their hair and beard silver grey, to signify their cleansing of affiliation with the other clans they deem fallen; providing them a rather unique appearance. Other markings may be noted to show peerage within the clan. Religion “Otharem ayna da sirk oz yemarin narvak.” The clan can be seen within the Dwedmar for having a reformist pantheon, which while similar, holds partially separate values and interpretations than the more mainstream Dwed. The Oathcast can be noted for both dismissing the divinity of both Wyvrun and Dormmar, insinuating that neither maintain Yemekar's balance and thus possess the same destructive qualities that the rest of the Aenguldaemonic creatures possess, but temporary co-operation in the necessity of such has occurred frequently. The application of Yemekar's balance is also severely separated from those of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. Where the Grand Kingdom would apply it to the mortal realm exclusively, the Oathcast only apply it to the interaction of external forces, namely Aenguldaemonika, to the mortal realms and holding them accountable to all disaster that has occurred in this world with their usually selfish intentions and rash actions. The clan holds the Brathmordakin Ogradhad as their patron, and attempts to forfill his will, basing much of their clan trials around the appeasement of him. This can also be seen as a symptom of one of the clans key goals, the restoration of the Dwedmar people from the hole they stand in now. The pursuit of knowledge is the core duty of all within the clan, Trials “Akyrth vozos karamar barithon rumol ynokorhelon dekan othok.” The clan trials of the Oathcast show clearly their wish to please the Brathmordakin Ograhad. All dwed born and coming of age or entering into the clan must partake in clan trials to show themselves as honorary members fitting to stand within their halls. To complete such a trial they must acquire knowledge for the clan that is deemed valuable by the elders, and show great honour and discipline when doing so. They will then be sworn in and marked.
  5. Toxzero's ''steam ship'' right? He just said he learned it one day to my knowledge after stealing it and saying he knew how to it worked. ------------------------------------------------------ Lori looks down on the ugly little ships, wishing they were gone in all of his being for their faulty and terrible construction from a stark king's pipe dream.
  6. This is about rules.. for one.. not your irk with plugins and the likes. However, it provides a active economy for people to interact and play with. Everyone being a master in everything limits the roleplay to be had when people like the dwarves have a vast majority of legendary + blacksmiths, or elves wood workers and the likes. You not being able to get food is not a issue, just stop making food in such large amounts. Get someone to cook it for you (usually at a tavern) and you are good for ages. This is a null issue because you kill the food market if you just leave it like that. If you can't afford to buy fresh food and stuggle like that, roleplay it. Roleplay a peasant and accept the fact the nature of the world means that your character is a starving wreck. Continuation: Nexus provides dynamic economy and people search IC for better gear and provides racial interaction for certain goods and services. Dynamic economy and the likes provides roleplay even if you don't see it and if your that poor roleplay it. I will split this into two points: Common Sense Standard, and Blacklisting. Common Sense Common sense standard is literally a replacement to mechanical standard. Why did they replace mechanical standard? Boat planes and the likes. Mechanical standard and its inate wording made it possible for anything in roleplay that is performable in minecraft mechanics, not limited to the ability to literally turn a boat into a glider or block glitch or place massive walls mid combat or any other minecraft glitch or bug or anything. Common sense standard enforces that if there is a mechanic purposed there to stop something in a particular manner and represents it then it is against the rule to subvert such, additionally any non-lore accepted objects within mechanical standard cannot be roleplayed. Here are some examples: - Smacking people through locked wooden doors by glitching them. - Boat planes. - Block glitch jumping & smacking people up walls. - Floating cities without RP or floating structures without RP just because it works in MC. Common sense standard leaves a area of interpritation which is always a issue because the number of clarifications would be extreme, but there is a general sense of how it is implimented and how it is seen. It says to the player "Decide, do you think this gives a unfair advantage or subverts rules that already exist, like glitching and the likes?" Blacklisting Blacklists exist because people might break PVP rules or the likes who get banned and end up just alting on troll characters with their friends and never seriously roleplaying. This gets in a viscous cycle of being a twit on the game and stacking up alt bans instead of trying to fix their attitude to the server. Blacklists bar them from taking part in combat RP and re-aligning their position OOCly. People tend not to want to get banned so they don't have to lose their capacity to play their original characters additionally. And as we have seen, blacklisting works. There is far less "Halt, PVP, Bandits GG!" on the server atm. ________________________________________________________________________________ I think I have mentioned these on another thread at you but you ignored me. Now down to /my/ suggestions for rules. Ban Incest plz. I used to be a malinor guard, it was a dark time where I used to have to deal with edgies and katana dark elves and a lot of teenage angst from people who wanted to feel POWERFUL, and during my time there I encountered a recurring issue that was disgusting. Because everyone and their mother was literally a incestuous sister ****** going at it like a group of farmers in Norfolk. I can't count the amount of times it was eluded too or some **** and it literally is disgusting. I understand some people are definitely concerned that their 'RP' is going to be infinged because they can't do a Lannister but I honestly do not feel its actually good to have on a PG-13 server. Did anyone meet the High Towers?
  7. I do like the idea, however if this were to be implemented I have a couple comments. 1. The combination of evocations is usually fine, but anything regarding the nature of lightening evocation is absolutely terrible. It is indisputably the most powerful evocation when facing opponents due to its unrefined ways and "I always hit you" mentality. To allow it to bear combination with water and the likes in evocations just allows it to be further bound and controllable. I mean, honestly speaking I am calling for a lightening evocation nerf, in the current 'meta' of RP combat its nearly always used. 2. To my knowledge with the use of transfiguration and all its sub-types you find yourself having to know the evocation in question to apply the enchantment with a similar enchantment. I see this being a possible issue, maybe? 3. Maybe make a chart of school accessibility relative to tier, so that it can actually be enforced and observed? Which pieces of Lore in specific, if I may ask?
  8. "Narvak oz Ograhad, akhoral khrum oz anoros." A challenge to the title of 'High Prophet' and the Kirkja Dverga as a whole. Too long has the clergy, a political and religious institution acclaimed as the entity of greatest religious authority stood incapable of action within the Dwedmar people. The broken body of power that heads this church has historically been open to the influence of their clansmen and prominent politicians, often with no scope on the true revelation of the Brathmordakin and disregarded any religious values we have. The addition of Brathmordakin and Paragons has become nothing more than a trivial matter of popularity, coin and political support instead of those who have done proper service in the eyes of the Brathmordakin or indeed qualify as the maintainers of Yemekar's holy balance. Additionally, the twisting of Yemekar's balance, a value held since ancient times has been twisted to justify wars. The value has been allowed by the church to be turned into a poison dagger for us to betray our allies and belittle honourable enemies. Thus, the Oathcast clan makes the challenge to those of the Kirkja Dverga to show their fitting nature for their position as the head of a religious institute in the name of the true Brathmordakin. Their intellectual nature is flawed and they contribute nothing to the faith of our kin, better we have a free formed priesthood than a decrepit old man of unbreakable stagnation. Reform is needed, men and women of the Dwedmar! For we at this time bear no footing on Yemekar's righteous path. Narvak oz Urguan, Narvak of Yemekar, Narvak oz da Brathmordakin!
  9. Katari I have had a dreadknight shoot retractile blades out its arm, get on all fours and go "Beast mode" on me once, apparently able to run 60 mph. Dreadknights went pretty edgy.
  10. Its literally a automated message that does nothing. We have had a tone rollbacks and nothing regarding them works. That, or when we reload a save there is some inherent issue where world saves have to sync with our plugins and thus we have to do large periods of time. *shrug*

  13. Lori listens to this story. "No, as per feckin' usual some twa' went 'n ran round the room flicked all da' levers 'ah te' plane forges 'n went 'n destabalised da' seal. He waves his hands around like a flailing monkey enraged. "And what about da' feckin' Dark Elves!? Snow elves arn't 'ah race, or 'ah culture, or even real people te' some sort of mollusk."
  14. "Akvar promises nay change, 'e wishes te' cave 'en te' pressure for power. 'e appeases da' Grandaxes for votes not da' future! Ah power 'ungry Lord!" Cries Lori. "Da' Grandaxes are blamed fer da' state of affairs regardin' da' split 'en da nation. Te' leave yet demand 'ah vote, saying de' reject Urguan law by demand weh abide by te' wishes?! Akvar couldn' deny 'ah da' meetin' da' onleh reason 'e wanted 'em te' stay 'es because te' votes mattered tu' 'im."

  20. If I may recommend a idea here while this discussion is open... I would say that the pair of your sides must discuss the exact number they are putting forward each for the battle, and use compairably the same number. A ambush style warclaim is all good and I like the concept but there needs to be a limitation if you really want to do a ambush style warclaim. So, here are some suggested rules: "Limited/No TNT use of explosives or siege weaponry." To prepare explosions on LOTC, the high elves defaulted to mana bombs but as long as their RP I am going to say their a seige weapon and can't be used willy nilly in every day RP. Explosives are hard to use, need to be prepared close to the battlesite and are unstable. A ambush should not be able to use explosives, or indeed maybe only a set number like 5 for the entire battle. "Both sides present a equal number of players, no allies are called in." Frankly I would if I were you guys really avoid calling in allies for the battle. High Elves like Kha, Hydra well.. he has ties to the dwarves and this can get really messy and become some big deal it shouldn't be. Find a number you can both summon, under 12 if its a ambush, and don't call allies what so ever. "Pillage not Conquest." I don't think conquest is right for this though, I see it being a better placed pillage with assured RP interaction with who is in charge of it event wise. I know for a fact that if you tried to un-ambush (standard) conquest this place you would face the Kha, High Elves and a bunch of ex-white rose war RP experts who strive at squad sized engagements. Its not a fight that would be won. The Kha's allied reinforcements would arrive for sure, but only long after the damage is done or whatever your looking for is found and thus I say you can't hold this place conquest style when the Kha can literally pray for it to fall on the floor. Thats my two cence, some forum mod might hide this so I request FM you let them read it and if the owner wants it removed it can go. I just feel that some terms for the nature of the war claim can be made better and thus a more enjoyable experience all around. I look forward for Adam Barnett and Nalatac tearing people up.
