  2. Monstrous Muyakelgs feeding on power and attempting to become local gods is such a fascinating and fresh dynamic. These beings are both powerful and weak at the same time, and their free will makes them unpredictable vessels for rp rather than just tools and extensions of their creators. I see the gears turning in the minds of the green tags, how is this construct lore different from all other construct lores… do we need more constructs? Don’t we have golems, atronach, sorvians, Animii, necrotics, and homunculi? While I harbor a fundamental difference in belief about whether the question “does this fulfill a completely unique end” ought to be asked if the means of creation are unique in of themselves, I will justify their existence in those terms. This lore is more than a shamanic way of creating constructs (which is important in its own right) because these constructs fulfill a unique role within the lotc community; neutral and free-willed monstrous/magic constructs. Golems and Necrotics are both what I would classify as “monstrous constructs”, beings which are inhuman in form and power. The caveat with these two constructs is that they are essentially slaves to their masters and have no free will, and while golems are usually good and necrotics usually evil, both are ultimately tools for their creator. Without free will, the possibilities available with both constructs either for event use or rp creation are inherently limited by the will of the creator. Atronachs, being what can be considered a magic construct, is in a similar boat, inherently bound to the will of a creator and thus of limited rp capacity. That is to say, Atronachs, Golems, and Necrotic abominations cannot become standalone major forces for driving rp, as they will always be bound by another, not that these groups are unable to create any rp at all. Animii and Homunculi are rp beings with free will. Animii can be monstrous or human formed, but are more often human in shape and size, limited in form by the lore itself. Animii and Homunculi are distinctly able to drive rp in a way beyond other constructs. The fact that BobRoss plays a machine which creates more machines and leads a clan is proof of this. Animii are not magical as they by default have no souls, no genus, no voidal connection, and this leaves other magical niches besides alchemy distinctly lacking. Furthermore, general lore restrictions on Animii discourage monstrous forms in size and shape, similarly Homunculi are generally human in form. Lastly that brings me to sorvians. Sorvians are of human shape and size, and although they have free will I believe they are far removed from the realm of the muyakelg. I see Muyakelgs as being wonderful event creatures as well as characters which will drive local rp and events.
  3. To His Holiness High Pontiff Everard VI, Many years ago I wrote to you asking for a copy of the Crusader’s Handbook. What is the status on a retrieval of a copy? I have a pirates version, but would prefer an original. Furthermore, have you had a chance to deliver The Handbook of Sin to Father Clemens yet, or has it been withheld? With Brotherly Love, Father Stor
  4. “Long has it been accepted that Harren, Joren, and Godwin we’re all of the same fleshtone, but it is logical to assume that the children of Joren compose both Heartlanders and Highlanders, while the children of Godwin are Farfolk. It may be asked how one brother can be darker than the others, but if we look at a supposed composite of Horen, it becomes clear that Horen himself was the protoman. Horen exhibits a variety of traits which are present in all peoples. Horen has darkly skintone, yet the blue eyes common of Highlanders. It must then be understood that the anomaly was NOT Godwin, but Joren, who retained the blue eyes but whose flesh may have been a slightly lighter tone which persisted in his children. Attached below is a drawing of Horen” writes Father Stor in response to his fellow Cleric. Below is an attached oil painting of Horen.
  5. Stor wonders why nobody has been able to create a cure. He reasons it must be because there is some form of Green Devil trickery which prevents others from comprehending what will most likely be a relatively simple recipe. Stor then submits a bid on behalf of the Vuiller family, for 1 million minas (payable in BRAE$)
  6. Father Stor Vuiller opens his battle bookcase and slots in the Crusader’s Handbook, preparing for a Holy War.
  7. Good Riddance. Time for a new person to complain about.
  8. Stor blinks at the missive before shaking his head “And I suppose this woman probably thinks the destruction of Johannesburg was a miracle as well… such assumptions about random large explosions makes the church look backwards and ignorant” he comments to his fellow lectors “GOD does not wage wanton carnage to further a political agenda.”
  9. Father Stor finishes reading, nodding to himself "Now this I shall put in the Nu Loc Library!"
  10. Father Stor, Novitiate, screams the following as he rides through the streets of Oren. “Vargengotz has risen! He assumes his crowns! Owyn was a Farfolk! The Dwarven Taxmen cometh!”
  11. The eyes of Kulthark’Izig widen in a haruspex induced haze. Blood drips from his fingers as they read the grizh, dancing amongst the viscera, fortelling dark omens. His breath quickens, his heart rate rises, and fear grips the usually stoic uruk. A name slips from his lips as its baleful tidings beckon, “SYLVANOR NIGHTBANE.”
  12. "Finally, a champion of sobriety" Father Stor says
  13. Full Name of Man - Damien Hughes Date of Birth of Man - 1812 Name of Woman - Amelia Eleanora Date of Birth of Woman - 1810 Location of Ceremony - Just beside Providence Bridge, next to the River, Lower Petria Date of Ceremony (Year) - 1847 Name of Clergyman who performed ceremony - Father Stor
  14. Father Stor gazes over the ruins of Rozania. Its people had long since been driven from their homes by fellow Canonists. He reads the letter, and nails it to the ruined Church door, before heading home with his belongings. “Too little, too late. GOD have mercy on our souls, the Church has failed its flock….”
  15. Favorite map? Did you like Nexus? bring back freebuild, yay or nay?
  16. Finally, more good smithing lore for normal smiths that doesn’t require me to hunt nodes +1
  17. Father Stor shakes his head, sighing to himself. “They never listen. I specifically said I do not support the ordination of women.” Stor then carefully binds the missive, and stores it away for posterity. “They chase progress, yet all they manage to do is marry the spirit of the age. While Rozanians perish, while men are denied confession before military execution, we worry about whether women may be ordained. And even then, only Duchess Crestfall offered a theological argument. God have mercy on us.”
  18. Hold on, let me preempt a comment. Okay, I’m going to shake the magic 8 ball. Ah yes, here it is. The classic response to let me play wacky and zany character. “People want mature rp now, the server has changed, and groomers are no longer satisfied with just buying an rp wife, they want to SAVOR every romantic interaction with this 13 year old boy playing a female character. Just because the most newer and younger players want change, doesn’t mean all the older players do. Sorry sweaty, times have changed.” Honestly this would all change if we got rid of guard default. How is acting tyrannical enforcing the law. It literally feels like dealing with real world cops coercing someone into violating some minor rule to convince the staff they had a right to pvp you when they wanted to arrest you for farting in public.
  19. "Diz am Bazed" Kulthark'Izig said
  20. Kulthark’Izig reads the missive with a smile. “Peepz lyke da ice azdrazi nub lyke da racizt azdrazi, bub’hozh, hopefully klompin iz sure tu follow”
