Curonic Peasants around a hearth, Circa 1661
~ A letter is handed to each citizen of Curon, as well as the respective Nation leaders of the NAA and the Chuch. ~
To the Citizens of Curon,
In light of recent criticism, I have decided to abdicate to my former position of Princess-Regent for my first born son, Wilhelm. I write this open letter personally to the loyal citizens of Curon who have offered me support in my efforts to return our nation to its former glory.
Despite those who seek to harm us and wish us ill, Curon remains strong. Despite the odds, we have grown and flourished as a nation. Under the Devereux rule, Curon has prospered once more. We shall continue to grow in such a manner.
I offer my forgiveness to those who have wronged Curon, and I pray that GOD sets them onto a more peaceful path. I forgive those who have sinned against our citizens and pray GOD offers them a journey to righteousness. I grant my forgiveness to my sister in law Emelie, for her actions against the Devereux name most recently. I forgive the previous Mayor Leila Rubens for abandoning her post and wish her happiness in GOD’s light. And I forgive those who have fought against our Nation, and pray that Atlas may be restored to peace once more. I pray to GOD that I am forgiven for my wrongdoings.
I have taken this action to ensure the prosperity of Curon for generations to come, at the advice of my dear friend Chancellor Ser Sylvester Halcourt, who has offered his loyal service to Curon for myself, my husband, and his Father before him. I thank GOD for setting me on the right path once more, and for protecting Curon.
IN NOMINE DEI,
Her Serene Highness, Linette Eliza of the House Devereux, by the grace of GOD,
Princess-Regent of Curon, Duchess-Regent of Eastbourne and Eruthos, Countess-Regent of Riga, Westmark, Beauclair, Sunholdt, Wett, and Eastmark, Baroness-Regent of Cyrilsburg
