I'm confused by your statement, "relaying it to their buddies", do you mean like they are meta-gaming it through /msg? I don't know what issue you've had with some players and their ghosts, but that's between you and the story team. People who aren't correctly following the lore are their own issue that needs to be dealt with by staff. Yes, there are reasonable tells for a ghost check, I agree. I just hope to avoid a paladin emoting a cold feeling and then deciding to follow the cold feeling with dust, which ST have repeatedly not allowed. As for the Helvet's funeral, was she wailing/chanting loudly? I was told that when a ghost is invisible, our dialogue is supposed to be nothing but distorted whispers/undertones, watery and sparse. If she was emoting in shout then that contradicts what the ST assigned to ghosts have told me. As for OOC consent, the way I see it, it's mostly consent to.. say having the head be unmistakably contributed to their character via description/skin. If they don't consent then it would be a basic head that doesn't blatantly contribute to being their character.

When is it reasonable for a templar to use fervent flame? I wouldn't want a templar to go "I think a ghost is nearby" and then go WHOOSH, FERVENT FLAME. ST doesn't allow people to randomly throw aurum dust or swing aurum weapons when a ghost player is nearby, so what keeps this ability from being abused in the same manner? If people will go **closes eyes, then I would say each person should roll above a certain threshold in order not to be blinded. Adding another mechanic to the ability might get sticky with the other lore pieces. Also how does Trophy work with ghosts if we are made of ectoplasm? Once we die, our ectoplasm just absorbs into the ground and so on unless collected in a cup or such for alchemical purposes. How would trophy keep the gooey head from just falling apart? Also, one would need to have a head that's indiscernible. Last time I heard, we couldn't take someone's mc head without their OOC consent, and that severing someone's head is supposed to be an unrecognizable head so that the player isn't harassed. The only problem I see with this, is if the player doesn't PK, then you would need a head item that's not able to be recognized as the victim.

THE KNIGHTS ATLAS | VE LAURYA KOSSAR
1_Language_1 replied to The Knights Table's topic in Marian Retinue
Ser Abraham looks through this atlas of knights, humming in accordance. "Mhm, yep.. when I die, I will be the first Southeron to be in a knight of Haense. To say First Farfolk, seems unfair." "What? No, no, this is false! Ser Karl slandered that girl and had her killed, probably because she loved him. What he did to her.. it drove her mad." Ser Abraham promptly shuts the knight's atlas, frowning. "To have such a falsehood in this Atlas, is a disgrace." -
"They never said it had to be the human alphabet.." The human 'Lev', a man without his memories, looked around, unknowing where he could get ahold of alphabets of different languages.

Hearsay of Hanseti-Ruska - X
1_Language_1 replied to HearsayofHansetiRuska's topic in Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska
The invisible specter blinks as he watched the well-loved family from his retreat, tapping his ectoplasmic chin softly as he pondered upon these damaging documents. "No wonder s'e children are declining in mental health, no one likes to be gossiped about..." The ghost proceeded to quietly loft through the building, attempting to sneakily gather every copy of the missive he could find, so that he may chuck them into a nearby fire when alone. -
Abraham reads the children's missive, sighing as another kid's kingdom is created. "Time to restock Fort Rootledge.. got to protect Hoonse." The knight begrudgingly accepted these dumb children's kingdoms, hoping someone wasn't going to lose another damn finger.

I think then the fact that they remained unbanned despite the clear rules on FTBs, is a fault on the residing moderation/admin team of that time (not the current one) and it shows that sometimes the rules don't need to change, they just need to be properly enforced. Not enforcing current rules just leads to more rules being made and the cycle repeats. I'm glad you replied to my post because I was worried it was just going to be hidden and given an infraction for poking a staff member. Is anything going to be done about massive age gaps in character relationships? Even though both characters may have reached/surpass the adult age requirement, I know some of the playerbase expressed concerns when a character is in a romantic relationship with someone four times the youngest's age.
-
I am concerned that you are having an idea about 12 year old children copulating, especially when people in their sane minds aren't even thinking about this because anyone attempting such a thing would be banned and shamed within a heartbeat. It's stated clearly that no FTB will happen between characters that are under 18, so this thought 12 year olds you are having is a situation already against the rules.
-
and yet this post solves none of the issues of a 300 year old elf having kids with an 18 year old elf "but officer grudgebeard she said she was 18" tbh some people liked my idea about not letting 50 year old elves date elves older than 200 and so on.

AMA, Year 3 Addition [Expansion Pack] - $2.99 USD
1_Language_1 replied to would not know's topic in Ask Me Anything
Are you a seer of vaseek irl then -
I don't even know what to say about this, because it could have just been easier to have a reminder placed on persona cards rather than mess around with years of lore for other races.. I mean I know the elf thing needed to be addressed and that was going to be a sticky situation regardless, but holy shit-- was there a different way to do this other than everyone at 18? I mean obviously no one should have maturity below 18 but I don't know how to really word what I'm trying to say here other than everything feels a little weird-- However I do agree with the Olog change that should have happened long ago.

[!] A sketch of the unknown man with Haeseni-like characteristics. [“Tryggvi Trevelyan” by Ymirr on DeviantArt] Earlier in the morning, a salmon-masked participant in Elysium’s La Mascarade de la Cour d’Amour fell from the second-story balcony. It is not clear how he fell over the edge, but some suspect potential foul play in the situation. The bachelor was rushed to the clinic with a broken head and a bruised body. Medics tended to the wounds, and the man quickly woke from his injuries. However, when the patient woke, he was unresponsive to doctors and nurses and could not answer personal questions such as his name or where he came from. The man could not recall anything and was confused when someone handed him a bowl of medicinal soup for his injuries. His hearing and vision seem to be okay. Even though he spoke little, other participants pinned his accent to Haeseni lineage. If you, or anyone you know, recognizes this man, please contact Minister Aylin Reede de Astrea (@Charbi) in Elysium to come claim him. The unknown man mentioned above is a Northern male who stands at 5’10” (1.78 meters), underweight at 150 lbs (68 kg) with raven black hair and medium blue eyes, and broad shoulders. The unnamed man appears to be in his mid-twenties or late twenties.

Grigoryi var Ruthern choked on his soup, banging the table a few times before he lifted his head as the borscht cleared his throat. He heard down the vines that his wretched family was trying to marry him off to Chloé's sister "Ea am niet marrying an Orenian, Ea don't care what she looks like." The Ruthern Black Sheep scuffed his boots into the stone floor of Urguan, returning to his work. "Ea'd rather be forced to marry a bearded dwarven lady and later find out it's a guy."

Abraham begins to fear for his sister and his nieces as he hears that Vuillermoz is burning. "I wish they would just come live here, they can buy my old house.. be safe from the war party.."

Abraham pats the head of his Yong Inu, Koda, for being such a good emotional support dog for sad children. Koda grunts and stretches out, the old dog enjoying his retirement.

A specter looks upon the missive splattered around the city. He mentally furrows his brow, muttering to himself in utter silence. "The church is regressing, they have not read the studies done by previous Pontiffs.. a lot of this stuff is incorrect and tries to justify that causing pain is causing mercy... only red ghosts want to cause pain?" However, he has no idea who got inside the palace due to the aurum lines.

I donno man, that didn't stop people from trying to erp with the wonks... and wonks are literally built to be a non-erp race

"Shame Ea never got to really meet ve woman that Papej loved, Ea would have liked to know her; what a fool Ea was to stay away." Grigoryi frowned as he fiddled with his tools of craft. "Perhaps be rest of ve family won't be cruel to her anymore, why dishonor a dead mamej? Then again, they did leave her rotting for quite some time.." The black sheep turned his head to his fabrics, before back to the missive. "Ea'll make Angelika a doll, maybe she'd like a doll of her mamej to keep with her.."

"This can't be good for Urguan..." Greg Ruthers, the new artisan of the guild, frowned at the news.

Hearsay of Hanseti-Ruska - IX
1_Language_1 replied to HearsayofHansetiRuska's topic in Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska
Grigoryi frowns at the sound of his cousin having her heart broken. Curious, he was actually sad for some one. "It's okay, I knew she could do better anyway..." -
Ser Abraham quietly recalls the years of shenanigans that Princess Petra got into. The sneaking around with Oleksander, or being afraid to write love letters to Yvo. The time Petra wore pants to adventure into the snow for wonderous creatures, like the Rijka or the brave Bokolos, or even just to sneak into the Hunter's Inn to talk with her sweetheart. Not to forget all the times, that Princess Petra refused to hide during conflict, she refused to stay behind, and burst into the midst of battle equipped with a medical satchel to help the injured. The princess of sunflowers and peaches and the color yellow, a young girl who just had too many dogs but could argue that she didn't have enough dogs; though loved Clover, Peaches, and Mousulina all the same. Prinzenas Royal Petra Emma Mondblume nee Barbanov-Bihar, the Prettiest Princess of them all; the most resilient royal princess and Duchess of Karosgrad, no matter whatever the crow Adalia ever said. There's too many memories to forget, too many to recall all at once; like how Reinhardt(@Capt_Chief26) and Klaus(@Fionn__TWG) used to fight between themselves over Petra like boys do, how young Reinhardt jumped from the roof and descended on Klaus to break his arm. Or the gift young Abraham put inside the palace for her birthday: the handmade telescope, a stationary telescope that would allow Petra to gaze at the stars. Abraham always liked to believe that, perhaps, Igor Kort had become one of the new stars in the sky that could be seen with that telescope. The Southeron knight regretted nothing except one thing: He accidentally made three-year-old Petra cry. Abraham had never been one to be readily violent, until a street urchin threatened to stab the young princess on the palace stairs. That was the only time that a small Abraham acted with such force, tackling him by the knees and managing to knock the older urchin out. All in all, while Abraham quietly mourned the loss of his friend, he knew that Petra lived a full life; so, instead of weeping that she was gone, he rejoiced that she had been. "He took Petra's life, and gave her peace in its place.. He takes, he takes, but.. he gives."

I want Axolotyns brought as a CA race instead.

I approve? jk

Abraham is already married, sorry Vik! Greg (Grigoryi) barfs outside of Urguan after seeing this missive. He makes a mistake and glances over its contents again, causing him to lose last week's lunch.
