  1. Again, I'm not trying to put anyone down for my comment ;-; I've always really enjoyed the forum competitions CT members have done with those themes, they're perfect places for players to show off their talents and try something new. But seeing builds for IRL holidays and finding items with descriptions of "from the 2022 holloween event!" (paraphrasing) just feels out of place for the server. Major holidays like Halloween and Christmas are w/e because the whole community usually partakes in that stuff naturally due to how large those holidays are made to be IRL. I'm pretty sure lore for a comet that passes by every few decades was even written to make "Krugsmas" more lore-friendly for the server (though I can't remember if it was accepted or not). Either way, I usually kind of just ignore that stuff in RP anyways. It's great to see OOC events formed to bring players together such as movie nights, ect - but if an event is to be done ON server, it would be nice to see it be more beneficial for RP and suitable for the server's setting. Like encouraging players to visit other nations and interact, maybe a screenshot competition could be had - like find the best cinematic shot, or see who can take the coolest group photo. Once again, due to the comments above thinking I am complaining over this its honestly not a major deal, I don't care if this changes or doesn't. I don't see why there is any reason to genuinely get salty over people making an effort to bring others together. There's a difference between healthy criticism and just plain disparaging comments.
  2. Is it me, or has it always felt weird to see IRL holidays and events like these coming into the server? Not to diss anyone for their work to try and do something fun for the community, but it's always felt jarring and out of place to come across this stuff in game
  3. Rezalisa Kovachev took approximately twenty minutes to hype herself up before penning down she was interested, hoping it wasn't too late for her.
  4. i lost my shabriri grapes :(

  5. Oh, that is Menhir craft - can absorb 1-2 blows from blunt weapons. It's not ectoplasm alone, just stone-infused ectoplasm that gives it the ethereal look
  6. I regard CA's for characters like these to be a better form of documentation for ST, and to ensure the player is well-equipped to even RP the character. I've written a musin CA before and it honestly wasn't too difficult, ST just want to be assured you've got an understanding of the lore before letting you RP the niche. Musin, Kha, and Ologs aren't as basic/straightforward as the regular Descendants races--which is something a new player on the server is required to start out with, before they explore with applications to magics and CA's. Opening up the lore entirely can actually be a risk for increased low-tier RP, because now there is no obstacle blocking it. Some Musin have advantages with their smaller sizes compared to descendants, same with Ologs having broken strength. "don't punish the collective then" can be a counter to this, but there have been actual cases in the past where lore has been shelved due to an increase of awful RP surrounding it.
  7. What do you mean by specialty armor for eidola?
  8. Add the following redline to the Mysticism Lore: Should a Mystic wield the art of Blood Magic, the spell Augmentation is limited to being boosted up to Tier 4; not even the blood arts may grant them the boons of immortal strength of Wightdom. It's an addition I've been wanting to get implemented for a long while, honestly. I've just been forgetting to do it until tonight. Reason behind is that a Mortal Mystic is capped at T4 for spells, and in order to normally cast T5 spells - the character must be PK'd through a complex and dangerous ritual of being transformed into a Wight. Meaning, great sacrifice and effort leads to the reward of (even more) powerful spells. I feel like a genus of blood shouldn't have a mortal character match an entity of converging souls in strength. Lore referenced, for ease of review:
  9. better to clear formatting from docs if you're transporting it from there, and just reformat it again on the forums entirely (this includes bulleted stuff)
  10. Ilaria quietly sighed as she observed this conflict rather carefully, her lips hinted to a troubled frown for what was to come. This knot of chaos and grief would surely only grow more mangled with time.
  11. What are some forms of media that inspire your writing, if there are any? Can be books, movies, music, or an artist What's been one of your favorite RP moments? Which characters have been your favorite to interact with? What's a good cooking recipe?
  12. "Love always wins in the end," Ilaria affirmed, delighted to hear of this shift in the human faith. She never believed that love should ever be something so restrained; every soul is worthy of it, afterall. "Let it wash away hatred, and peace shall be another step closer."

  16. Wearily, an elf penned a letter to the one who published this notice. To the Good Souls of Canon, those graced still by God's light and mercy, I write to you in regards to a woeful misunderstanding that seems to be had amongst your clergymen, that being of the mistake in thinking The Shore is a faith, a religion. I mean no disrespect upon the investigators of the Holy Church of Canon, yet if any where to have actually read any of my many writings of The Shore. . . Then they would understand that it is an ideology; a way of living. Best described as a philosophy, with no requirement for one to commit themselves to damnation and commit sacrilege to follow. These "shrines" that you've taken effort to have destroyed were not made in devotion to any higher being, nor were they constructed for any nefarious purpose. They stand as memorials for the deceased. The one in Balian you refer to had been constructed in honor of those who perished in the battle against dark forces with Cloudbreaker. As I've written countless times in my published works, The Shore is a path the troubled seek to find redemption through penance; to rise above their sins and learn the quality of their souls that is so overlooked and underestimated by Aeriel in her judgement. The Shore is a path encouraging love and compassion; to teach patience and care. I believe your sources to be massively outdated, for it's been some years since I've constructed any memorials - and it's been many years since I've had conflict with those of Nor'Velyth. My conflict between their old leadership was because I had refused to dedicate my self to the Ancestral Spirits; that I had instead chosen to devote myself to the souls around me in need of guidance and aid. They could not accept that I would not become a Shaman, and resorted to hateful means of seeing me ran out. Despite the strife I've endured from it, I still refuse to give into my own hate and curse them -- My path is one of patience and love, afterall. I bear no hatred toward the Church for this grave misconception in regards to my integrity; fear and ignorance is an infectious plague that can consume even the most rational of minds. How could I ever blame a soul for falling ill? With this letter, I've sent copies of my writings of The Shore; I urge for you to read them and understand. Ilaria Des'Nox

  18. Ilaria tiredly rubbed at her eyes as she contemplated the folded letter in her hand, hesitating a moment before she would seek to tie it to the courier pigeon that would be bound for the north. The rumors she had heard seemed to echo even more across the land; a glimmer of its truth known to her. Darkness crept far over the continent during her years as a hermit, every day revealed more shadows.
  19. Ilaria frowns at hearing of this duel, having been shared this news by Grisha. She never believed that might makes right, but it seemed that nothing could be change now.

  21. What's been one of your favorite RP moments so far? Which one of your characters that you play is your favorite? Who is your favorite purple bard and why is it Ilaria? Where do you get your inspiration to write and or draw from, of anywhere?
  22. In a shack on a quiet shore, an elf stirs from another vivid dream. She was fortunate this evening to not be ripped away from the such small rest she had finally obtained; haunted eyes blinked away that vision and she gazed up to the ceiling of her room. The sight was framed by all sorts of feverish drawings and diagrams that elf had marked in her countless restless nights, each one filled with ravings of the souls place in existence. The Shore was her life's duty, to grant redemption to all; to provide that second chance to those who would seek penance. Such truths of the Iridescent Path had proved far more challenging than she ever anticipated, yet she always pursued forth--no matter how thinly she felt worn. That weary elf sat herself up and placed her feet upon the cold stone that made up her floor, heavy eyes regarded her hands where she had once viewed a strangers marked with that familiar eye in the palm. Ilaria wept then. Not for grief or despair, but for the new hope she had found.
