the amount of people that overthink punishment and bans for a minecraft server is insane and the amount of people that are so willingly to forget the most vile shit someone's done for the sake of minecraft is also insane A good point was made earlier that there is no such thing as permanent bans on this server, unless its a TOS or you're just not in favor of the admins at all (the latter being something for special cases). We keep making the mistake of letting the worst of our community BACK onto the server because "oh, well.. its been a few months, or a year - surely they have changed by now, everyone deserves a chance to prove themselves!" it's a minecraft server, a minecraft server where someone threatened rape and made extremely hateful comments. Even for others, there's EXTREME cases of harassment, doxxing, smearing of names, ect - and these players are welcomed back because it would be a major injustice to keep them ostracized from our holy and sacred community. Start kicking scum out and keeping them out, it's what keeps this server as a festering mess and promotes little change of behavior. It'll continue to drive new players away, or bring in even worse individuals.

A Shorewalker works to prepare her donation to aid in the cause against the beast menacing the skies, spurned on from sights of her youth; seeing the ruins of Amaethea--cracked and melted stones of ruined foundations left to be consumed by moss and haunting echoes of many elven lives lost. Although should would prove a burden upon the battlefield, Ilaria would do whatever she could to ensure others were aided going into it.

Shorewalkers are intended to serve as guides to aid one through their struggles, and teach them of their worth; every soul has the right to decide their own path in life, and ought to be shown the true value of their own essence–that the soul is enduring and capable of greater change. The great flaw of Aeriel’s judgment and devastation it’s brought to our fates in the afterlife has been permitted to shape our destinies too greatly. We take the misconceptions of a distant Aengul as facts of our own nature and give in to the surging rivers of her views, when we can rise above her currents and make her understand the quality of our souls. The Shore doesn’t promote violence, unless it be in defense of the innocent or the realm itself; otherwise it’s believed to only continue the cycle of misery. The ultimate desire of those who walk The Shore is to spread word around enough for the descendents to join together in a plea to make Aeriel hear the people. Contention of Aeriel: Although those who walk The Shore stand against Aeriel’s judgment, they do not seek to bring war upon her. Shorewalkers believe and understand in the individual might and strength a soul possesses, capable of deciding its own fates without the guidance or influence of greater powers - yet the choice to serve and worship higher beings still remains as one’s own right to decide. Old beliefs and philosophies have existed prior, which criticize the influence of deific beings and even seeks to tear them down through violence and war–yet the true Shorewalker condemns such paths for they are filled with hypocrisy and suffering. To seek war upon the deific will only bring harm upon those around us, and will perpetuate our struggle; it would only further soil us in the eyes of Aeriel and make her feel more justified with her cruelty. Sentinel of the Veil: The strain upon the veil between the living and the dead has grown immensely due to the ceaseless damnation brought upon by Aeriel, the realm of the dead has grown into a festering source of chaos and anguish that bleeds into the matters of The Material Realm. Countless spirits linger and grow lost in death, unable to move on to face Aeriel’s judgment; their entangling fates wound up bringing much turmoil to the living. A Shorewalker is intended to seek out these lost specters and undo their spiritual knots, to serve as a guide for them for they are a soul in greater need of aid. A soul remains as a soul, no matter whatever appearance it bears. Yet, the dead do not belong in The Material Realm; it is a plain fact of nature, and the strain to go against it weighs heavy on lost spirits–enough to confuse their identity, and transform them into something foreign to themselves. Clarity is to be delivered, assurances offered; guidance. Yet the unruly and chaotic, those would not heed anything, are to be removed so that their messy fates do not disrupt others. Beyond this, a Shorewalker’s interests are in maintaining the balance between the realms of the living and the dead; reduce violence brought up by ignorance; further spread word of the cause to make Aeriel hear us; and guard the realm from powers that would seek to invade. Defend the Dream: While The Shore preaches for mercy, the offer of redemption and penance, and seeks to provide a second chance for all to rise above their sins and change for the better… Those who would take this mercy as a weakness would be mistaken; and those who would seek to abuse it are to be punished severely. The same goes for False Shorewalkers; parasites who would use values and the word of The Shore for their own selfish gain and abuse are to be marked as threats toward the iridescent path. A sleep-deprived elf jolts awake with a sweeping arch of an aurum knife, cold sweat glistened upon her brow as she sat herself awake within her bed. Her crimson eyes were nearly delirious as they flicked about her room; a cluttered space with messy murals and drawings spanning from floor to ceiling. Pale streaks of moonlight streamed through her windows, dawn was a ways off. "A dream- a dream," she spoke in a hushed tone to herself, such words were followed by more whispered assurances to steady the beating of her heart. "It was only a dream..." Ilaria sought to light her bedside lantern, her hands still trembled as she lit that match. Why must they all end in death? spoke a kindred voice to her, yet that elf was quiet as her thumb continuously pressed into the palm of her hand. The eye is gone, at least, came another quiet remark at her silence. That artist would not return to her rest that evening; guided by the flickering red light of candles, more feverish drawings were made onto her walls.

That the faith we have is in devotion and worship to a new higher power, yet it is called The Shorewalker’s Faith not in dedication to Aengudaemon or Spirit… The faith is trust. Trust within yourself, and within others; faith in the enduring nature each of our souls possess; faith that we possess the power to persist through our struggles and rise above our faults to grow into something better. The Shore is an encouraged way of living, a philosophy. The Shrines: Scattered around the lands are Shorewalker Shrines; altars composed of driftwood, coral, seashells, and decorated with murals of soft-colored pigments. Often they are kept to quieter corners and alcoves within cities, or erected within ruins or the outskirts of battlefields. Their primary purpose is to serve as memorials for the fallen, places of remembrance for those who have passed away–assuring the deceased that they’re honored and live on in memory. Yet they also serve a purpose for the living, intended to be places of introspection; where one may reflect upon themselves and the path they tread on and where it shall lead them. Everyone leaves a mark upon this world, Shorewalkers encourage careful thought in deciding how that mark is to be imprinted. Writings of The Shore’s philosophy are often kept around these shrines, to provide wisdom and information to the lost and the curious. To Dream For All: The Shore is a path open for many to pursue, of varying backgrounds and aspirations; including religions. The cause is one that many ought to be concerned for, due to how the imbalance and chaos of the afterlife under Aeriel’s rule bleeds into our world. Even the judgment of the Arch-Aengul upon the many of our souls does not align with the many codes and beliefs established across our realm. We may forgive, yet She doesn’t; ever black and white and severe with her ruling. Even if a once-terrible man rises to become loved more than he had ever been resented or feared, Aeriel may still condemn him to perpetual suffering upon his passing. This may spark wonder on the point of anything to life–why grow into something better, if we’re to be cruelly sentenced anyways due to the ever distant perception an Aengul may have? Our end is inevitable, suffering always destined–But that is incorrect. One may mistake this fate to be shackling, but that isn’t the case in the slightest. The only shackles set upon us are by ourselves; we take the will of the Aengudaemons and regard them as facts of our existence to meekly follow. The Shore encourages faith in the soul; faith in the self. To know your worth and might and potential for being something greater, something undefined by its scars. To acknowledge this beauty and power within yourself and others, to become enlightened, will alter the mark you make upon this world and inevitably alter the course of our fates like a shifting river. Hello. I am opening myself up for a commission again, but this time around I am wanting to try a different approach. Rather than list off certain types of paintings I'd offer with busts or full-bodies... I am trying something that gives me a little more freedom with composition and mood! I can only do so many character portraits before I start feeling burnt out and that everything's more of a chore than creative outlet. Art isn't fun that way! But I still need money.
