  5. House Thassarion of Númendil “Resistite Usque Ad Sanguinen” Resist until you Bleed ♫♪ History Of all the Adunic houses in the Kingdom of Númendil, the history of House Thassarion is one of the strangest and oldest. The house was founded in Vailor at the old Arch-Duchy of Lorraine by the ex-Dunamis mercenary Borus Thassarion. In the lands of Vailor and Axios the Thassarions were loyal vassals to the Arch-Duchy of Lorraine, establishing the Barony of Livray upon both continents. But with the passing of Baron Borus Thassarion, the Barony passed to his brother Horace Thassarion usurping the son of Borus Ser Rolland. Ser Rolland initially attempted to reclaim the Barony, but lacking support he went into exile forming the cadet branch of Thassion. This branch endured for many years until the lands of Almaris where Ser Rolvald Thassion met the young stableboy Uther, the future King of the Barrowlands and Númendil. The two became friends and eventually joined together in a band of hedgeknights in the Barony of Acre, shortly after Ser Rolvald died in a jousting accident. His son Waldin Thassion would take his place among the hedgeknights, journeying with them to form the March of the Barrowlands in the cursed plains of central Almaris. Ser Waldin distinguished himself as a brave and valiant knight being named the Earl of Caledrein shortly before the Barrowlands fell to the invading Mori. House Thassarion grew with Ser Waldin’s marriage to Ser Adrielle Adris, together enduring the struggles in the ruins of Savoy with the other barrowlanders until they eventually fled to Aevos. Ser Waldin fought beside the now Tar-Uriel in his conquest of the Sharadûn, with the knight leading the reconstruction efforts of their new capital city of Númenost. Heraldry The heraldry of House Thassarion has varied over the years, but the first banner depicted a rampant boar on a red saltire over a brown field with a black border. The heraldry of the Cadet Branch of Thassion differed greatly from the original banner, yet it still depicted a golden boar on a divided field of a white and black checkerboard and a red field. When the cadet branch of Thassion became dominant over the old House Thassarion, they returned to the family’s original heraldry, with the addition of a gray star in homage to their new home in Númendil. Martial Traditions Unlike their other Adunian brethren, the Adunians of House Thassarion long ago converted to the faith and culture of Humanity. Members of the house greatly favor fighting mounted with lance and mace and dismounted with single-handed weapons and shields, all while clad in heavy plate and chain. In even further contrast to their Adunic brothers the Thassarion are greatly inept at the use of bow and arrow, the only ranged weapons they can be seen with are heavy war-darts and other throwing weapons. Physical Description As with their Adunic Kin, the Thassarions are tall and sturdy and live longer lives than most humans. Most Thassarions are often seen with green eyes and brown hair that maintains its color for the better part of a century, a sign of very distant elven ancestry. Lineage [Link]

Our halls once filled with music and the clash of hammers have become silent and cold. Since arriving in Aevos our clan has not even built a single hall, living like lechers wherever we can find shelter. This CANNOT stand, let our kin gather once more to make merry, let our anvils sing the song of creation once more. I call all members of our clan to gather within the city of Kal’Kadrelaz to unify our kin and restore our leadership. ===================
  9. The Final Arch-Runelord Darek Irongrinder pulled the hood of his cloak closer to his face as he stepped out into the chilly northern air, he looked southward intent on traveling to the mountainhomes. Slowly he climbed atop his horse, thinking back to his time in Vailor, fighting beside his clan to defend the Grand Kingdom from destruction and extinction. He remembered most fondly his brothers Dimlin, Rorry, and Tarub, and how they would never be together again. He then remembered the struggles of Axios, the wars of Kinslaying he was forced to fight in. And then, on brighter days, the restoration of the Grand Kingdom and the new friends he had made during this time, Mafraedon, Atandt, Jorvin, and Norli. Darek was pulled from his thoughts as a fierce wind assaulted him, spewing from the northern chill. Gazing up at the mountains as he rode, thinking back to the days of Khron’Hundmar, was he right to lead the venture? What lessons had he learned from its failure? Thinking of the great northern expedition brought back fouler memories, the death of the dwarf who had taken him in, and the final moments of Zahrer Irongrinder. The Final Arch-Runelord clutched at the Runic Hammer in his possession, feeling the raw power innate to its creation, the very Ruhn that had been bestowed upon it. He lamented that he had grown old, he was not capable of restoring the power of the runes, and thus deep inside he knew that he was to be the Final Arch-Runelord. After many great days of travel, Darek once again saw the banner of gray and orange so much of his life force had been shed over. The blood sweat and tears of many generations of Irongrinders had helped keep that banner high, now he would attempt to make peace with the land he had once scorned. Darek Irongrinder passes under the gates of Kal’Kadrelaz, expecting a nice warm meal and good drink happy to have finished his long journey. But mere hours later the Arch-Runelord would journey to the halls of Khaz’A’Dentrumm, to be reunited with his Kin.
