  4. Slippery Business II Art done by Alex Pushkarev on Artstation A small sealed letter reaches the hands of Eerika Cottonwood as she stands gazing in the green fields of Hefrumm. The letter would have been sealed with what seems be to a green slimy and sticky goo, occasionally dripping some and hitting the ground as she read. [X] Dear Eerika, You remember me right? The old man you helped out last year? Remember when you fed me ole snail those strange roots? Well I might need your help again, I am stuck here in this really weird forest, it almost feels as if the place is haunted. If you help me out once again I’ll be sure to feed y’all some of my soup this time, It’s already on the fire! Just follow the ole goo trail once you hit the haunted forest and you’ll find me and Reginald. Kind Regards, Old Benny [OOC] This is the continuation regarding the Slippery Business small-scale eventline 30th of November, 15:00 – EST https://imgur.com/a/YwZuNMl https://imgur.com/a/rx9Kwnk
  5. Something’s Fishy Art done by Jan van Kessel A rather unpleasant smell, easily recognisable as that of burned fish wafts through the small village of Brandybrook. The pungent odour slowly spreads land-inwards and finds its way through the open windows and doors belonging to Halflings unfortunate enough to have left them open. Clothes drying outside now tainted with this same scent together with those currently outdoors with them... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14rnzZewWF8 If someone were to inspect where the smell originated from they would be quickly greeted by large group of dead fish stranded on the Brandybrook shores. There would be no bite marks present, yet only a burning smell reminiscent of burned fish would make one only speculate how these unfortunate fish met their end.. (OOC) Feel free to comment on this thread. First of December at 15:00 – EST Brandybrook
  6. As of the now the current sub-races of Elf consist of: High Elf, Wood Elf, Snow Elf and Dark Elf. In origin none of these subraces would be native to the lands of Korvassa or other desert-like areas. However that doesn’t mean that it would be impossible for any of these sub-races to be able to survive in the desert. Use some common sense to figure out if it would be possible for your character to have lived through the harsh conditions of the desert, so something like roleplaying a child would be quite far-fetched. Above all it is really great to see a new player already this interested in lore and determined to have his first character be written in a lore-friendly manner. I would suggest looking through our wiki and/or forums if you need information. If you feel like having some more uncertainty feel free to contact me on here on or on Discord: Vermy#2334 (This is the wiki-thread on Elf sub-races in particular: https://wikia.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Elves)
  7. Nice Formatting, Now only to somehow add this feature on the forums, it could really prevent some uncomfortable logging and would improve thread efficiency for sure.
  8. Don’t you think having 11 annual drinking gatherings is a bit much over the span of a few months, and don’t you feel like a varied scheme of events could draw more roleplay to Brandybrook?
  9. What is you opinion on the current state of LOTC regarding use of the forums? And what do you think of the overall feeling Arcas’ map has to offer and what could be improved, keeping previous maps in mind...?
  10. Adding some pictures and changing the font/colour of the text can really drastically change the formatting experience, making it more pleasant to the eye.
  11. Slippery Business Art done by DeivCalviz on Deviantart Missives are spread around Arcas, nailed to boards, pillars and scattered on the ground in alleys. The missives seemed to be handwritten, possibly quite hard to read for some. “Oie’v fekkin had it! Oie walk ta work evereh day and all uf a sudden oie fekkin slip on sum green goo nasteh slime. Oie fall on me back uf me ‘ead, leavin me wit’ a buggar uf an ‘eadache. Oie return ta walkin back ta ‘ome onleh ta slip again ta next day! Oie be done wit all t’is madness and Oie need someone ta c’eck w’ere t’is goo is cuming from. Ta trail seems ta lead to ta edge uf ta swamp, near Druids. Ta ferst one ta found out w’at it es and get rid of ta origin will be handsomely rewarded” (OOC) Interested in doing the event? Leave an in character reply on this post and contact me on discord: Vermy#2334 (Preferably a group of less than 10 people, but anything is possible)
  12. I’d recommend adding some picture references for an even spicier post ?
  13. I don’t think there is such a thing as good and bad or holy and unholy. Just like in the real world there really isn’t just a way to put someone in a box and call them solely bad or good. Apart from that the magic really depends on how you use it like some others have explained in earlier reactions on this post. Dark Magic can be used in a good way, making it a good dark mage? Just stick to voidal and deity magic as a way to describe them, since every magic is and can be used to differently.
  14. A useless comment, I totally disagree. There currently really is a lack of professions and crafts in comparison to the abundance of magic opportunities. I have always been a fan of inserting more possibilities for professions such as blacksmithing, herbalism, etc... If you actually had some constructive criticism on the lore itself rather than bringing up the lack of ‘interest’ , the lore team could use it to improve.
  15. Damn, those were claimed fast..
