  1. *You are to find some Uruk propaganda, speaking of a non-profit organization dedicated to Elven Population Control* (Also, I have posted the same thread in blah in the Orc RP subforum) *The poster was translated by an elven slave.* Yes, my brothers, the time has come! There are too many Elves! For a race with a reproduction curse, they don't act like it! There are more Elves than there are Orcs! Krug is disappointed! What's the point in having low fertility if you're still the largest race in Anthos? Iblees didn't curse them at all! 'Tis why I, Tuzlug'Gorkil, son of Burz'Gorkil, am making the end of the Elves come ever closer to us! We must control the population of the Elves! We must eradicate the Elves! One subrace at a time. . . Elves think they're better than us. Than all of us! Orcs and Humans and Dwarves alike! They believe they're prettier, smarter, and even stronger than us! Skah! Skah I say! It's not true! Orcs are the prettiest! Orcs are the smartest! Orcs are the strongest! Orcs are supreme! Join me, Tuzlug'Gorkil, in the true fight for supremacy! Join the new group, known as the Uruk Poliz! Enroll today!!! RANKS: - Leydah - Tuzlug'Gorkil is the leader of the Uruk Poliz. - Zekuhnd Leydah - Murzol is the second in command. He is in charge of the initiations, and will be the next leader should Tuzlug fall. - Kempahz - There will be many Kempahz. They're in charge of making prisons known as Twiggeh Kempz. This is where the Elves will be held as slaves, and forced into labor. - Zleyvahz - They are the ones who will enslave/kidnap Elves, and send them to Kempahz. - Poliz - Standard rank for a joining Orc. - Pynkeh - The non-Orc who joins the Poliz in the fight against the Elves. They're somewhat praised for being as brave as an Orc. - Znaga Twiggehz - Elven slaves who are forced to work in the Kempz, or fight against their brethren on the battlefield. ((In short, any race can join, except for free Elves.)) MEMBERS: Leydah Tuzlug'Gorkil Zekuhnd Leydah Murzol Poliz Vakgu "Autismo" Azog Poliz Urx Da Hurde Muzdur ((And a warning to all members. Don't take this camp thing too far. It must be like a rehabilitation, in which we take enemies and make them allies. I want nothing to do with the Holocaust, as it is a serious subject and should not be embarked upon lightly. We are simply trying to bring good RP to victims and attackers alike. Thank you.* *A fill-out sheet is before you.* YOUR NAME: YOUR RACE: YOUR AGE: YOUR CLAN? (OPTIONAL): WILLING TO KILL ELVES?: FIGHTING EXPERIENCE?:
  2. The Nightwalkers - - The Nightwalkers have always been around.. secretly. Discreetly. They were rebel scumbags and heavy drinkers who called themselves 'reformers' or 'do-gooders'. As years progressed, they worsened until finally, they were beginning to grow corrupt and fail as a creed, That's when their leader, 'Hammock', died, A young man, no older than twenty-three had joined the creed. In a decision that surprised everyone, including the man, Hammock chose him as leader. It was the best decision he had ever made. With the man's un-paralleled leadership, the clan grew anew. It prospered into an elite organization. That was ten years ago. The clan of the Nightwalkers is an ultra-secretive organization that serves only to provide a refuge for the lost and to act as a friend for the highest bidder. They are mercenary assassins and thieves that will kill, steal, and 'extract' information, for anyone that offers a good price. They can be hired by peasants, nobles, or even kingdoms to serve as bodyguards or killers. These purposes are called contracts. Joining the Nightwalkers is no easy feat. You must push your body beyond it's limits and surpass in mental capability. You must also dedicate yourself to the fullest extent of the soul and be able to call your fellow walkers, brothers and sisters. If you can manage the attempt, you are welcome to enter, after taking an oath. --- Ranks (Rest of Contract pay will be deposited in the clan bank): The Reaper (50% of Contract Price): He or she is the leader of the clan, with the ability to command all clan members. There can be up to three Reapers, but at most there are two. The Clan Leader is in charge of distributing contracts, based on their difficulty, to the lower ranks. They have the final say in all decisions, and usually lead the clan in to war if necessary. The current Reaper is 'Slade' Parkins. The Crow (25% of contract Price): These are individuals of the highest respect, next to the reaper in the clan. They are an elite bunch who have proved themselves in battle and in contracts and have dedicated themselves from the very beginning and have had years of experience. Crows tackle the hardest of missions, and accompany Reapers in missions. They are able to promote rookies to Nightwalkers and usually oversee their training. They can also command Rookies and Walkers. The Walker (10% of contract Price): A walker is a clan member who has finished rookie training and has succesfully completed a contract. They are a well-trained bunch who make up the majority of the clan. They oversee rookie training, and complete medium-leveled contracts, The Rookie (5% of Contract Price): Rookies are newbies that have only recently entered the clan and are in the process of being trained and completing a contract, accompanying a Walker to aid them, if necessary. --- Clan Rules: 1) You shall obey Clan orders, for all should be moral 2) You may not harm another member of the clam in any way, unless approved by a reaper 3) You may not leave the clan without the permission of all the reapers 4) You may not betray the clan or join an enemy organization --- Joining the Nightwalkers (App) ((This will RPly send a bird to a Reaper)) - OOC: MC Name: - RP: Name: Race: Age: "I ____(name)____ pledge myself to the creed of the Nightwalkers and swear to uphold clan values and would die defending our cause. I agree that I cannot leave the clan without being hunted until death." - Contracts: To send a Contract, post on this topic or send a bird to 'Slade' Parkins ((Keith_DX7)), with a price and a clan-worthy job.
  3. The Scryers of The Mages Guild The Scryers are a sub-sect of the Mages Guild established by Guildmaster Vedaer Sylvaeri in order to maintain the peace and regulation in the world of the arcane that the Guild so eagerly seeks. In doing so, the Scryers perform tasks that further this goal; Be it the retrieval of relics, the investigation of eldritch anomalies, or a task as humble as guiding wayward magi into it's mother guild. Often members that have proven capable in combat, the Scryers have recently taken to scouring the realm for rogue magi. (See "Rogue Mage Trials") Enlistment In order to enlist and perform the duties of a Scryer, one must prove themselves a well known and trusted member of the guild. Those respected amongst the rank and file shall be sought out, and interviewed. Should one desire to take initiative and volunteer, they may send a letter to the High Scryer ((mthdominator)), or one of the Archmages themselves. Hierarchy The Scryers have been constructed upon a simplistic hierarchical system. This system is shown below. High Scryer- The individual responsible for the management and leadership of the entirety of the Scryers. This individual must serve as a Guildmaster or higher. Arbiter- Tasked with trying rogue magi and organizing drills, lessons, and research trips. Instructors take claim to this rank. Two instructors may serve as this rank at a given time. Scryer- A person that has proven capable of defending themselves, their guild mates, and the tranquility they seek to establish. Often apprentices, instructors, and Guildmasters alike. Enlist- A newly enlisted guild member, pending drilling and a final interview. *Auxiliary ranks are often assigned.* Uniform Light robes are provided for the Scryers. *Color varies* -Written by Guildmaster Vedaer Sylvaeri, High Scryer of The Mages Guild
  4. You are one of many people within the world of Anthos. And yet, tonight of all nights, there lay an letter upon the aviary of your local town. Seemingly without a owner, you reach out for the letter to determine its origin. As you inspect this plain letter, you realize that this may be one of them recruitment letters for them shady guilds. You look inside it anyways, to see this message. You look at this letter oddly. What a load of nonsense. You look at the letter as it ends, and it is up to you now to decide whether you will join this "noble" cause, or if it's just a load of folly. OOC This is, simply put, a experiment whether an espionage group can exist purely IC. Which means no Skype, TS, or other means of OOC communication. If possible, I'd like to use this group primarily as a way of selling information to parties that need it. There is no VA required to join this guild, unless if you want to steal information or threaten others for information. NEW PLAYERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO JOIN. Please put your application within this forum topic. Further details and meetings will be added via PM. THIS WILL BE THE ONLY TIME IN WHICH OOC COMMUNICATION WILL BE USED. KEEP THAT IN MIND. APPLICATION: MC NAME: CHARACTER NAME: WHY WOULD YOU LIKE TO JOIN? WHAT PROFESSION WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE? ARE YOU WILLING TO GET YOUR HANDS DIRTY OR TO STEAL TO RECIEVE INFORMATION? DO YOU HAVE A VA? (Y/N) IF SO, PLEASE PUT A LINK.
  5. The Cult of the Frozen Night You lay in your bed, consumed in a deep and peaceful slumber. You stir slightly as a rush of cold air enters your room, causing you to open your eyes. You may notice a window open, or perhaps a door left cracked open a little. You lethargically rise to your feet, looking around. To your surprise, you find a small sealed envelope on the floor. The envelope is sealed with red wax, a small ‘N’ pressed into it. The envelope feels cold to the touch as you pick it up and examine it. Do you open the envelope? (If you do, click the spoiler!) OOC Information and Application Purpose: The Cult of the Frozen Night is a group designed to allow players to participate in cult activities, raids, and other events with the official antagonist, the Black Scourge. Another goal for the Frozen Night is to provide fun villainous roleplay for everyone involved. Players who join the Cult will have an increased chance in joining the official antagonist, and may even learn magic, should they be dedicated enough! Ranks: 1) The Listener - Taking his or her orders directly from the leaders of the Black Scourge, The Listener is responsible for running the Cult. He or she has final say when it comes to promotion of the lower ranks, as well as recruitment. The Listener is also responsible for assigning tasks to The Seekers, and the Chosen if necessary. 2) The Overseers - Those known as The Overseers tend to be lower ranking Black Scourge members, although any in the Scourge may be eligible for this rank. The Overseers watch over new members, including The Chosen and The Seekers. Their primary responsibility is to allocate tasks and jobs to the lower ranks, as well as coordinate the other ranks in raids and events. 3) The Chosen - Composed of The Seekers who have passed a series of tests, The Chosen are the only rank which may be added to the Black Scourge. They are more trusted than The Seekers, and usually assist the Scourge in various ways. As a reward for their loyal service, The Seekers have more access to the knowledge and power of the Black Scourge. 4) The Seekers - These are the lowest rank of the Frozen Night Cultists. They have to do multiple things to prove their worth, which may include inciting violence, assassinating targets, burning structures, causing chaos, gathering information, spying and the like. Doing much of the “grunt” work, the Frozen Night heavily relies on The Seekers to maintain itself. To be a Chosen and advance in rank, they must complete a specific task chosen by the Listener specifically, to prove their worth, as well as finish any tasks given to them by The Overseers. Application (Must fill out to join. You can PM this to me privately if you prefer.):
  6. The Stolistes Enforcement The noble house Stolistes presents you a new guard force, focused on protecting Abresi with decency and manners. No longer will you be arrested without fair trail or have to deal with corrupted guards. The Stolistes Enforcement is stationed in Abresi, and is approved as a freelance guardforce, aiding the remaining guards in arrests. The Stolistes Enforcement aims to raise the quality of your protection daily, as our official enforcers make sure arrests are taken out properly, and our informants that the right persons are arrested. We are not an official part of the guard, but we are granted permission to aid the guard force in protecting you. We promise you incorruptable guards who will join arms with the goal of protecting Abresi. Hail to our existing enforcers:
  7. ((We are for hire for almost any kind of mercenary job you can think of. See the post below or this link for more details: http://www.lordofthe...ssins-for-hire/)) Walking through town one day, you are approached by a mysterious man, cloaked in dark grey. You can see strands of white hair under his hood, but the rest of his features are obscured. He examines you and says in a relatively deep voice, "You look like the type...tell me truthfully, are you..a mercenary, a thief...an assassin..?" Looking at the man questioningly, you reply: "Uhh..not really.." "Perhaps..what is it to you?" ((To apply, please fill out this application and give it to the man (post it in this thread)) Upon completion, you wander over to the man, and extend your arm to him, holding the application. He looks around, then takes it from your hand. ((See post below for more details on guild))
  8. *A poster is put up... somewhere* ~THE ORDER OF THE GILDED FALCON~ -La Orden del Halcón de Oro- “AS I write this, the lands of Oren, and further, that of the entire realm of Anthos, is crawling with filth. Unaligned warriors that run around and pillage, bandits roving the highways of the land, sons of Malin so far estranged from their homeland that they are hunted even in Malinor. It has been far too long since the good-hearted men of the realm banded together to fight back against the cruel grip of darkness upon us all. In the absence of the world’s heroes, I have seen expecting women slashed open, their unborn children tossed to the ground in some sort of sickening mob vengeance. Come all ye with good hearts, thee that fight with chivalry and valor, we will provide you with swords to fight and companions on yer side.” -Tyrnal ‘The Expatriate’ Tovalin ~Purpose & History~ The Order of the Gilded Falcon is a guild founded by the Tovalins in 1420 seeking to find those with kind hearts and train them to help fight back the prominence of evil and strife upon the grounds of this once peaceful realm, however it was beset by many obstacles, some of them being members of the family who were dark-hearted and brought the order down. It is now being reforged by Caleb ‘Wolfy’ and Tyrnal ‘The Expatriate’ Tovalin. We seek those with brave hearts, those who will never back down in the face of evil. Should ye join, we shall train ye to a Knight’s proficiency in combat, and provide ye with armor and weapons for the job. ~THE RANKS~ Initiate / Iniciar: Those who have just entered the guild. They are at the start of their training, and will be provided with a suit of leather armor and an iron sword. They are paid 50 Minas at the end of each elven week for their services. *An illustration of the uniform is provided* {{}} Lieutenant Minor / Teniente Menor: Those who have proved themselves capable in combat however lack the leadership skill necessary to command an initiate. They will be provided with a suit of chainmail or iron armor, depending on personal preference. They wear the same uniform as an Initiate. He will be paid 75 minas a week for his services. Sergeant / Ujier: Those who have ascended above an Initiate’s training and is now sufficient in combat. They will take command of an initiate as their assistant and train the initiate as they were trained. They will be provided a suit of iron armor or chain-mail depending on preference. He will be paid 100 Minas a week for his services. *An illustration of the uniform is provided* {{}} Knight Minor / Caballero Menor Sergeants that have gone above the call of duty, the most honorable and valorous of folk, with hearts of gold and fists of iron, they are the first knightly rung of the guild ladder. They will be offered a war horse bred by our excellent farmhands, and be provided with armor of whichever kind whenever they need it. They have, however, ascended beyond the need for pay, for whatever they desire the guild will provide. *An illustration of the uniform is provided.* {{}} Knight Major / Caballero Major A knight who has proven himself even greater that the previous rank shall be honored with the title of Knight Major and given a seat in the Order Council, along with command of three lower-ranked soldiers. They don the same uniform as the Knight Minor, but are free to alter it in any way they choose. Magistrado An officer who has proven himself to be above any knightly title. He is capable, in the absence of a commander, to order the soldiers of our order to his will. He will be provided with his own ship, and a sum of money awarding his valorous conduct. ~Guild Resources~ Our guild currently holds a number of horses in which we breed to provide mounts for the knightly members. We are in possession of various valuable books -- four tomes of magical skill ((accepted self-teaching tomes)), and various works on the arts of Alchemy and Blacksmithing. Every time we are capable we mine, and we are stockpiling iron and other resources to provide. However, as we are slightly short with the mines running dry ((Warps Broke + Regen)), we cannot promise to provide high-grade armor immediately. ~Loyalties~ We seek to swear fealty to Oren, so that we can aid them in this time of war. We, however, lack any loyalties as of now, and see ourselves as neutral to all but those who seek to commit acts of vice in this realm. ~Guild Territories~ The Bog Archenn The base camp of our guild since the failure of the boat to the Wilds. It is very close to Abresi and built upon a lush beach. ~Three Unacceptable Vices~ I. Murder Seeming the most prevalent sin in Anthos, many are killed for fun or sport. We find this act unacceptable and if you are found committing it you shall be exiled from the guild. It is not murder, to us, to kill someone without malice. II. Adultery Stay true to yer wife. Those who seek to deceive their life’s mate will promptly be exiled from the guild. III. Theft Even from a dead man, thieving is unacceptable. Do not take the possessions of another man without his permission.

  10. Bloodsworn Recruiting *posters are hung up near the wilds dock and all around Abresi* The Bloodsworn are a group of some of the most elite fighters in all of Anthos. We work for contract or to accomplish goals that would involve the preservation and furthering of the cause of the fortress-town of Sakinaga in the wilds. Joining this guild will let you in on our rigorous training schedule that will allow you to unlock your true potential in combat. All Bloodsworn will be accommodated and fed within the confines of the town Sakinaga. Minor details about jobs are to be consulted with the leaders of the Bloodsworn. There is a ranking system within the guild that is represented within the main office of Sakinaga. The guild consists of three kinds of warrior. Three ‘paths’ if you may. These paths consist of the Sickle, the Dagger, and the Shield. The Path of the Sickle: This path has no tiers, unlike the others. Warriors of the Path of The Sickle help win battles at home, tilling the lands, keeping the books, building homes. If you are skilled at building, farming, or bookkeeping, this path is for you. The Path of the Dagger: This path has three tiers: Tier I: Pathfinder – The very beginner members of the guild. Not yet trained for the stealth combat this path consists of, the Pathfinders work as scouts or spies until they have been fully trained. Tier II: Rogue – A Rogue is a member recognized to be significantly more adept than the average Pathfinder. Not a full-fledged Shadow yet, a Rogue must serve under their higher-up until they prove their worth. Tier III: Shadow – The shadow is a true master of stealthy combat. A man capable of leaving an army in ruins with merely a knife and his skills, the Shadow only looks up to the guild leaders. The Path of the Shield: This path has five tiers. Tier I: Footman – The footman is a low-level officer of Sakinaga. His job is to protect the town at all costs, while honing his skills as a warrior. Tier II: Sergeant – The Sergeant is a distinguished guard, while having yet no authority, a Sergeant is better-armed than his lower rank counterparts. Tier III: Ronin – The Ronin is a low-level captain of the guard. They have command over Footmen if they so choose. Tier IV: Captain – The Captain has command over Footmen and Sergeants. He is authorized to give punishments to criminals in situations where no Sakinagan Officials are present. A select few can be promoted to this level; others are promoted to Samurai instead. Tier V: Samurai – The Samurai is an elite member. A samurai may be promoted from Ronin or Captain. They are considered Sakinaga nobility, and work for none but the Leaders. ! BELOW ARE THE LEADERS OF THE BLOODSWORN AND THEIR NAMES ! Main leader: Tanrïz “"The Shadow" Tovalin (arfavero1) Main leader: Stephanie Kusarai (arfavero1) Secondary Leader: None Secondary leader: None Secondary leader: Okami Ken (link22399) *below are application forms* MC Name: RP Name: Race: Age: Gender: Skills: Why you should be accepted into the ranks of the Bloodsworn: We look forward to seeing many people join our ranks

  12. -=- Master Thieves Guild -=- Written by Raptor The Master Thieves guild was one of the first and oldest organisations of criminals, brigands and thieves, banding together with one common goal; to become wealthier. Members of the guild use each other’s talents to help each other out to steal all they can steal, pooling their wide range of skills and talents to accomplish even the most impossible tasks. The guild is the very embodiment of “Honour amongst Thieves”, backing each other up and bringing their resources, skills and wealth together to strive to greaten the guild’s wealth, power and infamy. Every member is expected to have the other’s back and every member is expected to treat their partners in crime as brothers. The guild is not an army, but an independant family and brotherhood of thieves, all working towards the same thing. Disclaimer: All the information on this post is entirely secret. This is not open or public knowledge. It is known to the guild members and the guild members only (with some exceptions). Guild Ranks Guildmaster The elected leader of the Master Thieves Guild. Technically, the Guildmaster is still a Master Thief and not above them in rank, however he is the chosen head to make the final call and final decisions e.g. Master Thief promotions, benefactors, large heists and alliances. He is the Master of the guild and head of our band of thieves. Master Thief Master Thief is the highest rank in the guild. The Master Thieves must be knowledgeable in all the arts of thievery, stealth and deception. Their job is to teach the lower ranks the necessary skills needed to become a Master Thief themselves. They are in charge of organising jobs, heists, collecting and setting up dead drops, making contact with new recruits, making contact with benefactors and contacts. All other ranks answer to the Master Thieves. Shadow The elite of the guild. The best of the best. The most skilled and stealthiest thieves amongst the ranks. The Shadow is the role model for Brigands and Thieves, being the prime example of how they should act. They are unseen, they are swift and they never miss their mark. The Shadows are to assist the Master Thieves in the training and supervision of the Brigands and are also able to orchestrate jobs and heists. Thief You now have free reign over the jobs you pull. You are now permitted to do jobs for the guild stated on the job board, suggest and take part in heists, inform the guild of targets and perform your own jobs without supervision. The Thieves represent the guild now and will act accordingly. Brigand The Brigands are now allowed to start going on certain jobs. Brigands will be under the guidance of a qualified thief who will teach them how to use the skills they studied in practical use. Brigands must follow the directions of their superior, while working on their skills to be promoted. To rank up to Thief, one will be tested by pulling a job where they will take the lead. If they succeed, they will be promoted. If not, then they must do another term (length decided by their superior) of study until they will be tested again. Unbranded The fresh meat, the greens, the new bloods. The brand new recruits, fresh off the streets and ready to be turned into professional thieves. The guild has expressed interest in your talents and has decided to induct you into it. You are not permitted to do anything, nor take part in any jobs. At this point, you are not considered part of the guild, nor privy to any information at all. Once we have expressed interest, you will be taken by a Shadow or a Master Thief on a minor job to prove your worth and skill. Should you succeed, you will be branded with the guild mark upon your forearm and made to take the Oath. After this, you will have officially become part of the guild. Lore The guild lore and story is still currently being written up. The story will be occasionally updated with any important events to do with the guild and it's members. - Be Mugged stories and histories of the 'Old' Times. A Red Raven, Upright Individual and the Heist of their lifetime. (Story held deeply within the Guild's heart.) Guild Rules Do not betray the Thieves Guild. If you are caught, do not reveal that you are a part of the Thieves Guild. Do not act above your rank i.e. a Brigand may not orchestrate heists and jobs and a Thief may not command a Shadow or a Master Thief. Do not act against the guild and it’s members. This includes theft, acts of violence and insubordination. Keep business with the Thieves Guild and your personal life separate. This includes involving other guilds you may be be a part of, in jobs and heists for the Thieves Guild. Secrets are secrets for a reason, take them with you to your grave. Guild Expected Standards Thieves are expected to show a certain amount of finesse when performing a job. Killing is restricted unless absolutely 100% necessary and is frowned upon even then. Thieves are expected to leave their guild coin behind as a “calling card”. The guild’s reach has no limits and people must be reminded of this. Should a Thief receive a tip on a property, or fail to retrieve all the possible trinkets, they are expected to leave a tip on the guild board and/or the drop box. Marking the house with the guild symbol is also acceptable. Thieves are expected not to act against allies and/or contacts of the guild without express permission from a Master Thief. OOC SECTION OOC DISCLAIMER/RULES You may not join the guild without an accepted Villain Application for the appropriate evils. Some exceptions may be made for those that join us RPly in an attempt to learn the appropriate skills. Understand that you may be ejected from the guild at any time for whatever reason, be it rule breaking (IC or OOC) or we feel you are no longer suitable for the guild, etc. Once ejected from the guild, you may return only if the Master Thieves deem it fit that you should return. Should you choose to leave the guild of your own accord, the guild will grant you free pardons to roam the world without the guild by your side, provided you keep to your oath of secrecy. Should you break this oath whilst not being a part of the guild, you will be treated the same way as if you were ejected from the guild. Understand that if you are forcefully removed from the guild for a serious offense (deemed by us), you will be hunted down RPly until the ends of the earth. If you are caught, understand that you may be tortured, beaten and/or permanently killed (or have your memory wiped with a golden apple if you are an elf). DO NOT APPLY FOR THE MASTER THIEVES GUILD IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND THIS APPLICATION AND THREAD RULES The Guild has become tougher to apply for, with us trying to keep our numbers lower and filling the Guild with quality players and not quantity. With our new outlook on the guild, we have a nice new thread and we would like to keep it nice and clean. With that, here are some simple rules you need to keep in mind when posting on here. Do not post your application more than once. We will review it when we get round to it. When posting your application, you must first post a small RP post (a paragraph or two will be enough) of a theft, be it burglary or banditry, that you have actually performed, putting screenshots as well in a spoiler beneath the RP. Post your entire application in a spoiler beneath the RP and screenshots. This is so that our post is not cluttered with applications. Posting useless OOC questions such as “((are you accepting apps yet))” will be immediately removed. If you wish to ask a question, send a PM or at least make a nice RP post so as to not clutter our thread. Failure to abide by these simple rules will result in your post being removed (if you do not fix it upon request) and a possible instant denial from the guild. APPLICATION The application is not the only form of joining the guild, however it is the most practical. It is for you to express your interest in joining and for us to determine whether or not we would take interest in your character. Sometimes members will be inducted purely based on RP experiences and will not be required to fill out the application. Heretics will be burned, those who do not worship the Creator will be either punished or ignored for their ignorance of the faith, and his holiness will be worshiped. Tenets ~ Loyalty, Obedience, Honor, and Respect ~ ~ Religious activies take place once every week ~ ~ Betrayal is swiftly dealt with ~ ~ An Order member must never talk up to god in vain and must follow this god whole heartedly ~ ~ No stealing from your fellow Order members ~ Officer Ranks Overseer: The Order of the Holy Cross is lead by this man. His duties consist of insuring punishments are carried out, insuring obedience and loyalty, and making sure each soldier does the job he was assigned to do. Prelate: The office of Prelate is held by a Bishop appointed by the ArchBishop of Holy Oren. His duty is to simply conduct all religious affairs and insure that each soldier is blessed before a battle. Cross Principle King of Arms: As the name suggests, the Register(s)’s duty is to attend to the crests and banner of arms. These are usually held within the chapels which are used during ceremonies and battles. The Register marches in front of the bannermen. They log everything, and keep organization. This man helps avoid confusion with his clear mind and sense of organization. Secretary: The Secretary is in charge of the Order's finances. His duty is to make sure that no one dies on the field of battle. How to join the Holy Cross
  15. Master Thieves Guild Written by Raptor INTRO The Master Thieves guild was one of the first and oldest organisation of criminals, brigands and thieves, banding together with one common goal; to become wealthier. RANKS Guild Ranks Guildmaster The elected leader of the Master Thieves Guild. GUILD LORE GUILD LAW Guild Rules Do not betray the Thieves Guild. DO NOT APPLY FOR THE MASTER THIEVES GUILD IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND THIS. APPLICATION AND THREAD RULES The Guild has become tougher to apply for, with us trying to keep our numbers lower and filling the Guild with quality players and not quantity. Send your Application to the OP (myself.) via a PM on the forums. 16. "Let peace and justice finally rise like the sun, to rid the world of night." It is a guild that will have a slue of role-players who will be collecting people who perform crimes for public punishment. Characters in this guild find that killing people and locking them up do not work very well, since evil always finds a way. Our system will include public punishments that will not kill, but scar the flesh. As an example consider this : A person stabs a woman out of pure, cold blood and kills her. He is ultimately captured and bound, put in front of a crowd of people. He watches as the hand that was used to stab the woman is taken. He will not die, because already in the guild there are two doctors. Measures will be taken to ensure that the hand would be tied to restrict blood flow. There will be a hot torch embedded with embers at the ready to press against the bleeding stump to ensure the bleeding would stop. Non-player monks do not magically heal wounds, but they resurrect the dead. Performing such a punishment in front of a crowd will strike fear into those who do wish to commit crimes. If only the lands did not have to strife to such lengths. The punishments will not be so severe all the time, lesser crimes should be punished with a scarring slash across the cheek, or whipping. Punishments will only be as severe as the crime. Another form of punishment will involve more people; public humiliation. There will be a cart in a square for those that have repeatedly committed crimes. The cart will be filled with rotting vegetables and fruit that will be flung into the face of the accused, and people are welcomed to openly mock him. Though this guild is not all about finding those who commit wrong and protecting the innocent. There will be a slight society set up in the walls of the Solar keep as a sanctuary for characters who are just tired of all of the wrong going on in the lands. People who are tired of all the fighting in LOTC can come to the sanctuary and role-play with characters much like their own, those who actually wish to play with well-fleshed out, humanized characters. It will also be a sanctuary for those who are wishing to learn how to role-play, and know how to play like the best. ~*~ Ranks ~*~ The ranking system will be as followed; there will be a council of leaders that will organize raids for criminals, relations with other guilds and nations, and make decisions based around the future of the guild. The ranks for people to be in combat ( Blaze team ) will be in this order : Inferno ( Captains ) Flames (knights) Blazemen ( Guards/ soldiers/ police ) Kindling ( Scouts/ prison guards ) Sparks ( Messengers/ reporters ) The lowest of rank is civilians, who will be assigned jobs in return for lodging and such based on their skill set. What will fuel this fire is the CRIMINAL THAT WILL BURN. Member list (( To be updated soon )) ((-OOC CORNER-)) How to apply : The way to apply will not be the traditional ooc application; What you will need to do is to forum message Panda and she will start an IC and RP interview with Marian. She will also ask simple OOC questions like your time zone and such, but this will be a guild that is mostly in character. This is mainly OOC information about the guild, and there are RP fliers that will be role played as being put up fresh occasionally, and might even change from time to time. There will also be future posts involving this guild including it's own art page! ( Just a little fun fact, if you scroll up and down the colored beginning text it has a kind of flame effect )

  19. *OOC Disclaimer* |~The Valden Company~| “Nothing comes free. Everything has a price tag, whether you realize it or not. And it’s time to pay up.” -Brigham Hadwin History and Overview The Valden Company’s origins are rooted in the earliest days of the exploration and settling of the continent of Anthos. Founded by three northerners, the plans for a highly skilled and extensively trained mercenary company took their earliest roots. The Valden Company began to rise through a series of political maneuvers and economic exchanges. Perhaps their most noticeable tactics were those of a... darker nature. It was a combination of their doggedness in mercilessly tracking down and then beating their competitors, their cold determination, and ruthless deception that allowed the Valden Company to truly get itself off the ground. Currently under the watchful eye and protective wing of Lord Carrion, the company primarily specializes in archery, and their ranks are mostly made up of powerful longbowmen. However, the Valden Company is opportunistic; it also employs a contingent of men-at-arms. The Valden Company does not wish to rid the land of bandits, villains, or orcs, nor does it want to fight, pillage, or generally attempt to bring about the downfall of all order. But to call them neutral would be false as well; their alignment is to money. They will fight for coin, that much is certain. Not for the Empire nor for any house in Oren... unless, that is, either are willing to discuss a price. The Company works on a contract system; once the job is done, each soldier who participated gets paid. The amount of money they earn is proportionate to the size of the reward. The Valden Company is reliable, as it has upheld every contract it has been given. Though more willing to work under the employ of Orenian houses, they are certainly not averse to fighting for other nations... if they bring enough coin to the table. Enterprises “A company of Brigands, Whoresons, and Heartless Dogs. What more could you want?” -Ulric Ragnarson The Valden Company is, primarily, a mercenary force. They will fulfill just about any duty that needs able-bodied men. Fighting, escorting nobles, guarding events, protecting lands, and more. However, there are plenty of other services that the Valden Company offers. For the sake of anonymity, it is suggested that you send a message beforehand if you wish to request our more... ‘unofficial’ contracts. The prices for the Valden’s services are subject to change. However, we can guarantee the utmost efficiency for fair prices, ESPECIALLY when it comes to our ‘secretive’ dealings. Prominent Figures Brigham Hadwin Ulric Ragnarson Tance Nikkelsen Membership Registration ((I believe in recruitment IC; I think it is much more realistic, and rather rewarding as well. However, I realize that I cannot always be on. I would ask anyone who wishes to join that they message me, after which I will interrogate question them and see if we have availability.))
