Kalenz Uradir is many things: a liar, a murderer, a war criminal, and a tyrant. He has many times violated the innate rights of mali to further his own interests and that of the Silver Enclave of Haelun’or.
He has killed innocents, tortured opponents, subverted justice and deprived so many of their basic dignity. From behind cold stone walls, he has bullied his enemies into submission, never fighting a worthy opponent. He has brutalized the mali for too long, and our patience has worn thin.

We agree with Kalenz Uradir, in that the mali have become fractured into lomi, splinters. Of course, the foremost and long lasting splinter is Haelun’or, but nonetheless, Kalenz believes it is his moral imperative to unite the splinters through “compulsion.”  The irony of the situation caused us to fail to take him seriously; however, when he attacked the Osage Clan this past elven day, it was decided that unity would indeed come, though not under the Sohaer.

We, the Council of Splinters, stand together, opposed to the Sohaer.
Though we hail from diverse backgrounds, freedom is something that we all deeply value, and we believe it is something that all mali deserve.
Freedom from tyranny, from assault, from want. Freedom from threats of violence. Freedom to live out your life in a society that treats every mali fairly and does not tolerate threats from those who would lord over you from behind closed gates.

There was once a great nation that stood for these freedoms, and though it’s memory has been tarnished by those that oppose such freedoms, we do not pay them any heed. Malinor once stood as a sanctuary of light in a world filled with darkness, and she will stand again.

May Malin guide us in the coming days.

Art reads this with an impassive yet hopeful gaze before pursing his lips in confusion, then a wrinkled look of disapproval.

"Oh malin don't invite the snelves along, please."

Ac'Aelu stands atop the gate of Talonnii, scanning the plains ahead. Grinning as he saw no apparent threats he turned to head home, looking up to grin at the massive Elder Tree which gave a backdrop to the city. It was a good day.

Willow Calithil squints, squinting...at one thing alone, disregarding the rest of the post.

Naeri stares off into the distance, reflecting deeply upon her next actions. Pausing, she looks up with a deep sigh.

"Tah and Malin grant me strength. I sure as Nether will need it."

"Great nation? Malinor was lax, disorganized, and ruined by valah influence. It was a hub of crime, a testament to everything wrong in the world. It made elmali the punching bag of Anthos. Sohaer Kalenz is taking many steps in the right direction, righting the wrongs of the poor Princes and Princesses of the times before," Yulnii says, a deep look of disgust on her face.

"Rebellions are rebellions, and they are usually crushed. This will be no different."

A Mali from below the Mali'aheral keep shouts up. "Well your nation isn't anything better. It takes the nationalism of Valah and Bortu and uses it for little more than empty bloodlust! Your nation is built on the back of death, and such it has built into a worthless hive of villainous scoundrels that we must pray that a new scourge digs into the dirt." He then flees.

Kaun nods in agreement from the sideline. "You could also add to that, Malinor was in a way better.  Atleast the other Princes and Princess let the people have freedoms, not five thousand rules that were never told to them nor shown." Pulls up his hood as he walks from the area, back to his current area of living.

"Anthosian Malinor... was flawed. Dying. But we're not making Anthosian Malinor. We're going back to the better ways... the ways we had in Aegis and Asulon. When Malinor was the great nation it needs to be."

Aelu says to the other two before leaving.

A concerned expression draws across the Maheral's face as he is informed of the notice, and rubs his chin slowly. Shooing away the messenger, he walks over to his potted tulip, and cuts away an errant leaf upon its stem.

"A patch of weeds is worth digging up the whole garden it seems. Very well. If the elven lands of the future must be yet another warzone, I hope they appreciate this small moment of calm."

'Truly, I have difficulty understanding the minds of these underlings.' Says Velulaei. She turns to Yulnii and takes a dainty sip of tea. Both are seated in the Mali'aheral inn, enjoying a cup of warm brew. Vellulaei sighs and deftly pushes a few strands of hair out of her face and behind her ear.

'They are inferiors, we allow them to live in their squalid homes, feed and copulate. Are these not their desires? It has been observed many times that the common cows live in this fashion. I do not understand why they think themselves above their four legged counterparts.' She sniffs and sets her teacup down with a sharp clink. 'I am most intrigued by this rebellious behavior, Yulnii.'

"Fools will be fools will be fools. It's ridiculous, really... this nation has prospered and acted well. It is the best Elven nation in a long while. The reasons? One, it is effective, in a way Malinor was not. Two, it is not a fractured dictatorship based on valah principles, as the Conclave was.

"I think it is because we are in a separate district that they see us as terrible leaders. They have the same rights. They have the same rules... they're free, essentially. There is no hatred towards anyone of another race... not at all. They were the ones who came to us," she sighs, taking a short sip before continuing.

"This is a government created by ne'er do wells and lawbreakers, simply put. They had no place in an organized society, so instead they wished to bring back the 'glory days', their nostalgia blinding them."

An Excerpt from the Concordats are posted in the Elven Areas,

"II. All Mali’ker will be afforded the following rights and responsibilities:

II. All mali’fenn will be afforded the following rights and responsibilities:

II. All Mali’ame will be afforded the following rights and responsibilities:

  • The right to depart from Haelun’or at any time. "

another note is then attached

"We are acting within our rights, this is not a form of rebellion because we were granted this right. We do not seek violence, nor do we want Kalenz to be killed. All we want is what we were allowed within our Concordats.

-Naeri Evaglno of Talonnii"

An ancient Mali figure stares at the report he receives on the 'Splinter Council' and furrows his brow. He waves over his assistant and asks how many this new group numbers but is met with a grunt that the Mali knows means that he doesn't know himself. With a sound of pondering he considers the actions of his kinsmen and attempts to disconcern how this attempt will fare.

"I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors but I'm afraid you are quite rose-tinted if you believe past regiments of Malinor were successful. They only gave the guise of being so due to the lax government they had which allowed for any and all kinds of actions with little to no punishment. They had a hands off system which eventually devolved and turned the government and it's affiliates into a cesspit of corruption. I would advise you to not look to the past but rather look forward, and create your own method for governing your peoples.

I was a supporter for this High Elven confederacy due to the fact it was significantly more stable than past joining of the Mali' people. Their way of thinking is very different from the others who call themselves malin's children, but non-the-less... I certainly hope that you understand the peril you are throwing Malin's Children into fair leaders of this splinter cell, for if you do not the death of Malinor will be all that you will find."

The letter is unsigned, but it seems more as an oversight by a busy fellow than anything else.
