Baconthief 682 Share Posted December 9, 2013 Elves should have a fundemental respect for nature, and Druids. I'm not tooting my own horn here, but Druidism is the native religion of the Elves. Malin, if I'm not mistaken, was a Druid, but for the past IRL year, we've been walked over by three different leaders, to the point where we've grown so frustrated with trying to roleplay with you guys that we've left. Not once, but twice, we've felt the need to simply pack up and leave the nation. I don't see druidism as the elven religion, nor have I ever though that since I was playing in Aegis. Simply by a few key factors: A) The concept of true-neutrality (Ex. some canniables are allowed in the druid grove, if there are other redeeming qualities. Old dusk in aegis is an example of that.) B) Magic. Elves should excel at and welcome magic It's the role of magic that does not make elves follow druid beliefs There should be many similarities in what the elves and druids believe, but it should not be the same. It should be similar to the relationship between Protestants and Catholics. A few key similarities, yet many different rules

It's like how a christian doesn't need to be celibate, but a priest does.
Baconthief 682 Share Posted December 9, 2013 One does not need to be as strict in following the Aspects if you're not a druid. It's like how a christian doesn't need to be celibate, but a priest does. It won't fitt my personal character and his Warden past, but I would argue the focus should be set on Malin (not the aspects) when it comes to an elf's beliefs. Again, I see it as the difference between a Protestant and a Catholic. Similar key-beliefs, different outlook on many other concepts.

Goldd 126 Share Posted December 9, 2013 Thank you so much... The logic of the war made my iq drop... Not only was it not signed by all council members but it was utterly stupid and obviously a failure. "Fixing" needs to start at the core of Malinor. The government and the example they set for the Elven society. Then the Elven mindset needs to be re-invented. We love trees, peace, and WE AREN'T STUPID. Finally Baconthief needs to be appointed as High Prince. That is all. And yes I am extremely bias.
Wolf Druid Ouity 1461 Share Posted December 9, 2013 I don't see druidism as the elven religion, nor have I ever though that since I was playing in Aegis. A few key similarities, yet many different rules You could always split it 50/50 ^_^ I'm just saying, that people whose king (albeit absent king) is a Druid, who live in trees should see Druids as almost priests, and it would create an interesting relationship between us and you if that did happen (of course, with a few pariahs, as not EVERYBODY would think that way) It's just frustrating as a Druid when we're ignored or walked over when we try to interact with Malinor. In Asulon, Bravepaw chopped down a huge swath of land directly outside of a Druid grove, and instead of accepting the RP that came with strip clearing the land, he claimed it was OOC and that we should void everything. He said that in clearing that land, they were making room for larger trees, whereas in reality they set up a port town of sandstone houses and made ONE tree to pacify us. Nowadays it's incredibly frustrating when we're taken off of regions just for the sake of it, and being flat out ignored and waved off when we try to interact with the land around us. It's a huge turn off, and why we're not currently residing in Malinor anymore.

Baconthief 682 Share Posted December 9, 2013 I think this is a good time to form a lore team to write out what an elf would believe, and then some other key factors to an elf. After my finials, got lots of works to do
