The French began to secure their territories in North Africa, enforcing strict and absolute rule. French bureaucrats moved in in order to purge the corrupt local governments and establish a strong regional government to direct all funds to the homeland. While the government moves with a heavy hand, French civilian and relief organizations attempt to play on the African people's hearts and minds. Arabic is encouraged and the French language is not pushed upon the natives. Instead they support moderate Islam and encourage the practice, using the Imams as tools to help pull the people away from zealotry and revolt. Large sums of money are allocated toward African infrastructure with the intent of boosting the economy of the region. Modernizing Africa would be a major leap forward for the French government as precious resources would flow through to the homeland. African oil and metals would help as well. 

 

The project in Morocco continues as scheduled and the mission to the Moon will soon outpace the Moroccan special interest project, a Grand Spaceport. Meanwhile an entire area of 200 square miles is sectioned off from public eyes. Military jets fly over the area day and night, cloaked helicopters move in and out of the area, and jammers and other devices prevent prying satellites from taking a look inside. Military patrols, including several specially built security Richelieus, are stationed around the perimeter. Something is clearly going on, but when asked about it President de Guise simply 

 

On the homefront, nothing changes as the economy continues the boom. There is a continued increase in the power of the central government as corruption and infighting continues to be purged by the ruling party. As reelections roll around, President de Guise is the clear favorite. France continues to increase the size of its military with recruitment at an all time high. Research on exoskeleton suits of a whole new design are created.

 

The situation in Russia seems to be escalating into all out conflict, and as a result the French army is quickly moved to the Western coast of Europe, preparing for a bold NAC invasion. Should they attempt to do so, they would be repelled, but at a high cost. Richelieus are put into an all time production high, their combat ability unparalleled by any sort of American land design. 

 

Development stages end on several projects started as several of the new designs enter full production in French factories in Spain and Belgium. The most prominent of projects are the Bourbon I tank and the Turenne I fighter jet revolutionize the way in which land and air warfare would be fought by redefining the Tank and Fighter by creating a class all their own.

The United States of America (reaction post):

 

As the world prepares for war, the NAC does the same. With the almost complete invasion of the pathetically ill-prepared Central American islands, U.S infantry personnel can quickly change their course of action. President Baker enters his war room, meeting with his top military advisors:

 

Admiral Collier and Five-Star General Ashford meet with him there, along with many political figures and delegates.

 

Collier starts the conversation. "Sir! The Europeans fortify their western coast - it is almost unbelievable how much they have done militarily. An invasion would be suicide.

 

Baker blinks. "Why so? Which Atlantic Power could even attempt an invasion on Europe's western front?"

 

Collier frowns. "We can sir."

 

Baker nods, in an understanding. "So the Europeans grow paranoid of an American invasion, or more profoundly an NAC invasion. After all we've done? After all the terms we've agreed to? After all we've given? Well, they should. Although we won't invade, we are heavily guarded ourselves. Do you know what the world's largest standing army is, General?"

 

Collier thinks for a moment. "The Imperium Army, Mr. President?"

 

"No, Admiral. The American people. Our population is so armed, an invasion of the American homeland would be extremely catastrophic. Almost every American owns a decent weapon well-enough trained with it, and we're high-crazy about our nation. And although our land technology is at an all-time low compared to the rest of the world, we've got air and naval superiority. We won't lose this war, but we'll take a hit."

 

President Baker then turns to General Ashford. "Any chance we can avoid conflict, whilst still sending aid into the Slavic Union?"

 

The General shakes his head, "No Mr. President. It's either Russia or METO. I'd choose the latter one, but if that's the case, we'd endure the wrath of the Bear - and plus, METO could hold us accountable to our treaty for invading south of our border and ultimately coerce is into aiding them."

 

Baker nods grimly. "Send word to the Emperor. The United States and the rest of the NAC may be at war with METO. Ask them to decide on one or the other. Remind them of the Super-Carrier that we built together, and the fact of where we decided to share technologies when METO kept in the dark. The Imperium is progressing faster and more powerfully than anyone could have imagined. If they join us, the war would be ours. If not, it would be mankind's bloodiest conflict and would end poorly for both sides." He looks to the room, "Especially since Russia has that bomb. The worst weapon on God's Earth."

 

The delegation continues talking and talking about the events taking place in Europe. Not one NAC troop is sent to Europe. Waiting for the decision of the Emperor, the American giant readies itself for war.

 

In order to keep up with European advances, the US government starts a project called the Cyclopes. Based off France's Richelieu, it is a large unmanned fighter drone. American scientists get to work sketching it out immediately, and it should enter production in a jiffy ((2 pages to enter construction, 7 to finish)).

The Republic of Finland

 

 

Finnish troops weave between the forests of Finland, shooting across the lines of the Russian troops. They were pushed back anyways, the northern lines of Finland beginning to cave in towards the south. Even so, President Sauli sends the message to Russia:

 

"We will not surrender. I could be your ally, but only if you end this war. Finland will be independent as long as I am President and the Finnish people still breathe."

Illyrian Reaction Post

 

After receiving word of potential NAC invasion in Western Europe, the Second Illyrian Brigade is turned around from its course and made to Land in Morocco Instead to aid the French if Invasion is indeed to happen. (1 turn)

 

 

Almost immediately Ships upon ships of supplied would be mobilized from Albania to arrive in Morocco. These ships carry guns, ammo, building materials, tanks, and other necessities for a successful military fortification. They also carry military strategists and military expert trainers to give the Second Foreign Brigade the rest of their necessary training to become part of the Elite. (1 turn)

 

The state is declared to be in Alarm-5 and therefore economic growth is shunned for military growth.

Meanwhile, in the Prezidenca, the Monarch's seat in the center of Tirana, King Ahmet Zog III called for immediate calling of the defense ministry. One by one, black benzes drove into the Palace's 6 story high quart-concrete walls, passing the triple layer of security holding common rabble away from the King. The Prime Minister, the General Supreme, the President, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Minister of Internal Affairs all sit in front of the King's throne, as the white-cloaked majesty descended from the upper reaches of the palace. He was informally dressed, not wearing a crown or his Pelts. He looked at the much older men, worried, and spoke in a voice so cold it almost made those who know him look twice to make sure it was their familiar, cheerful monarch standing there and not some other.

The Oceanic Imperium

 

 

The door to the Emperor's study opens and closes as a servant enters, holding an envelope.

"Important, I take it?" Asrul is in an armchair across the room, and closes his book as the servant approaches. The day-to-day matters of state were all handled by his underlings these days, though he kept a close watch on their activities and was always the guiding hand behind policy. For a missive to be delivered to him personally during his private hours meant a certain level of urgency.

 

Opening the letter, he can't help but raise an eyebrow. It was clear the Americans wanted an answer...they were always impatient. Well, they would have it. Sitting up, he purses his lips and walks over to a desk, where he picks up an ornate pen and quickly drafts a response, then handing it to the servant.

"Have this sent to the Foreign Ministry, with instructions to process it through the regular diplomatic backchannels."

The servant nods and takes the letter away, and the Emperor returns to his seat and reopens his book.

 

When the missive finally arrives in the hands of both the USA and Russia, scarcely three hours have passed since the original message was sent.

"The Oceanic Imperium has no stake in a war that is focused far from its borders and involves three factions that have yet to threaten the Emperor's peace. As of now, we have no reason, legal or otherwise, to enter a potentially costly war against European nations that, while they have been disrespectful, have not presented a challenge to imperial authority. Furthermore, if our staying neutral will in fact prevent a full-scale war, then it must be seen as an advantage.

 

With that said, the United States has proved a valuable friend in recent years, and for that reason alone the request merits further consideration. With this in mind, we present two terms that, if met, will provide compensation for the potentially thousands of lives lost in the war.

1. The US will immediately withdraw from all Pacific military bases apart from those in Hawaii, and will transfer ownership of said bases to the Imperium.

2. Russia will immediately cede the Ural mountain range and all territory east of the Ural mountain range to the Imperium."

Russia

An agreement was met with Finland in private and suddenly the troops depart across the sea to land in Poland where they will attack Germany's armies. Reserves are drawn from western Russia to meet the German's on their eastern side as well hoping to trap them. The Muslims who had found refuge in Russian lands join the army to bolster the ranks of the main army. Germany would soon be met between a hammer and an anvil.

A letter is sent to Albania

"To the King of Albania,

You shall receive the lands requested if you agree to give military aid in the war by attacking up undefended German land. This could extend your borders into richer land and send your country into an age of property. I hope you accept.

"To the Emperor of Indonesia,

I laugh at the though of seceding most of my lands away. Not only are they mostly wasteland, but I assume you wish to make a war if I do not accept. I say this to you. If you wish to make a war with someone who has aided your economy over a wasteland it is up to you. Russia will not be seceding any of it's lands on those terms. That is final.

President de Guise watched the mobilization of the French home guard with a cool, stern face as they marched before him. These men would all be dead within the year he figured, but it would not matter to him so long as they had won. The Republic would endure, and the Americans pushed back to their own shores. They forget who had granted them permission to be independent so long ago.

 

The might and mettle of the French Navy would now be tested against "the Greatest Navy on Earth." They were ready for the challenge. They did not know what they were walking into. Four of the Six French carriers were deployed to the Atlantic, along with the majority of the fleet. Along with that, a Naval variant of the Napoleon MkII, capable of firing much further than its land based counterpart, is refitted to several Helicopter carriers in order to bombard the enemy advancing fleet from over 500 miles way. The naval variant is simply dubbed "Bougainville" for its devastating ability to crush an advancing fleet before they are even close to being in range. Should the American navy attempt an advance, they would be bombarded into submission. This weapon is not known to the Americans though, the Bougainville had been one of the more discreet projects developed over the past decade alongside the Napoleon.  

 

The Imperium is told to not intervene in the war, and recognizes their claim to the Russian east and American Pacific, stating that the Imperium would more responsibly administer these areas and put the interests of the native population in their minds. 

 

There are two other carriers that make up the French Fleet, each sit in the Mediterranean and prepare for any attempt the Russians may make to push through the Sea of Marmara. Should the Russians not attempt to push out of the sea, their fleet would be isolated in the Black Sea and open to bombardment from Napoleon IIs in Turkey and Bulgaria. These carriers were not normal variants of the de Gaulle class. Instead, these were the two carriers started nearly a decade ago by the French Navy.

 

THE CHARLEMAGNE [Page 15]

A larger, renovated version of the Juan Carlos. The carrier is capable of high speeds and quick launch capabilities. It features a ski-slope runway as well as a secondary electronic pr(aisepok)opulsion system. A separate VTOL area has been set aside as well to allow for the launch of the TURENNE from its deck. The Charlemagne also maintained a working Bougainville Long Range system which would be used to bombard a target from long range. On the lower deck, a small area is designated for the launch of drones however the priority is not placed on drones like that of other nations. It is powered by a Fusion Nuclear Reactor.

 

 

HENRY IV GRAND CARRIER "FLEET KILLER" [Page 15]

The single largest ship known to mankind, the Henry IV features 3 runways and is essentially three carriers put together. It had been intentionally delayed to allow the observation of the Indochinese and United States supercarriers. The Henry IV featured twin Bougainville Systems, a Nuclear Fusion Reactor, and flight deck exclusive to the Opération Sarkozy mission, which was still underway. It held 25 Turenne fighters built exclusively to accompany the carrier along with the ability to launch sea-based drones. A hanger on the portside of the ship releases dozens of drones which move beneath the water using active camouflage. These drones seek & destroy any foreign signatures in the area. The Henry IV is built with only one purpose in mind, destroy the American Navy.

The Kingdom of Illyria and Dardania

The Kingdom is thrown into an extreme state of global emergency, as economic growth is secondary to the militaristic growth of the Kingdom. Farms now only produce food for the military and people are forced to join the Army without the option to defect to the Labor Force. This applies for men of the ages through 18-39. Older citizens and younger citizens are all expected to join the Labor Force or be branded enemies of the king. 

 

The massive quartz infused, five story construct complete with 12 military choke holds , an electric fence of 12,600 volts, turrets and towers every 100 meters, and the famed Mburoja heat detection system which alarms the National Guard if something is coming close to their borders and its heat level is significant all work in synergy together to form the Muri i Trojes, or the "Wall of Troy". The extension of this wall is also taken to Macedonia, where is is partially finished but needs a couple of touch-ups in order to function at its full potential. 6 military choke-holds will be en-braided in this section of the wall. Not only does this keep enemies from Getting in, but it keep Albanians from Getting out.

 

In the south, 100 j-16 Shenyang Stealth Fighterbombers that can easily match-up with any F-22 thrown at them emerge from Air strips littering the southern half of the Kingdom, as they make direct course for Greece. It was warned, and now in a time of such chaos, the opportunity is seized. Under the watch of these planes as they broke into supersonic speed is the marching of 50,000 elite soldiers from Macedonia and Albania, marching to meet up with 40,000 of their kind in the south. The outdated, 100 plane fleet in Vlora is directly thrown at the Greeks like a pebble before the avalanche. Cold-war Shenyang j-6s, F-4s and F-5s all flew into Greek land and began bombarding it, as the Albanian infantry marched into the land.

Meanwhile, the Albanian Second Foreign Brigade and all its supplies arrive in Morocco, as they get situated towards the southwest of the country right at the edge of the Sahara and make an encampment there. They immediately begin supplemental training, especially training for arid areas, and prepare for the worst possible NAC invasion scenario.

ACTIONS:

 

TOTAL WAR is declared. This leads to citizens revolting, and politicians calling for an overthrow, but they are quickly branded enemies of the state and executed. The people are tired of almost a full decade of martial law as the state industrializes. The National Guard totaling 40,000 garrisoned in all the population hot spots, though, keeps everyone nice and quiet as they have clearance to kill anyone who attempts to "break the public peace" on sight. 

 

1. Rapid recruitment beings again as 50,000 elite soldiers are recruited continuously at a shortened amount of time. The way this is accomplished is that Drafting Zones are designated based on population health diagnostics and the men there are only given the option to join the army, which they do in favor of persecution. (Recurring, per 1 turn).

 

2. Time to research the new technologies is drastically cut as the government raises taxes again and begins dedicating more resources to the projects. A significant part of the Kingdom's fund is dedicated to finishing all three projects (1 more turn, cut by 2 turns).

 

3. Any and all refineries and factories are put towards the goal of spitting out as much war-related products as possible. Tanks, planes, ship parts, and weapons/ammunition of all sorts is produced, as old weapons are dismantled for parts of new weapons. (30 tanks produced per turn, 20 jets produced per turn, 5 frigates per turn, 2 destroyers per turn).

 

4. Economic growth is shunned for militaristic growth (Slow economic decline, but military growth). (Recurring every turn Total War continues to be in action). 

 

5. In order to try and halt the economic downfall of the country, the government tries to impose the Internal Economy Scheme on the whole population.  Mod Needed

DIPLOMACY:

1. The Russian President is discretely informed of acceptance through a series of encoded messages delivered by a series of Albanian messengers. The message itself is locked in a device of sorts, which has smaller devices like itself locked into the main device. This device is delivered from messenger to messenger, each messenger using their own code on the device, delivering the encoded device inside. The President has been notified of the final code of the device. 

 

Attempt to break into the device would result in the message being destroyed, as putting the wrong code into the device too often or manhandling it would result in a glass container corrosive chemical within the device to break, corroding the message.

The Federal Republic of Iran

The Bastion of Civility, Middle-east

 

War, war never changes. The formation of the caliphate was the biggest threat Iran faced as an Islamic minority within the religion itself.  Iran was above all that savage practice of medieval Islam, civility must be preserved & protected in the region. President Montazeri, the only cleric to ever ascend into presidency, was a casualty in the bombings of the Caliphate. The exhausted nation screamed in rage , as the largest funeral in the recorded history of Iran took place.

 

 

On the presidential chair, directly elected by the Islamic Parliament, was a man that promised revenge for the nation. Ahmadinejad from the Iranian National Front, was elected. The people didn't want peace talks & ecological investments, they wanted guns, guns that shot the savages that roamed around their borders. In Ahmadinejad's speech after the election he said:

 

 

"After we have been finally liberated from US colonialism in the region, the irrational fundamentalists that have founded this pathetic excuse of an Islam preaching state, that is apparently blessed by our god that they dare to take a literal piss on when slaughtering innocent people, have taken over the red, white & blue agenda. We will not stand restrained by UN bigotry this time to show what country is truly the preacher of god! Let us make my glorious predecessor proud!"

 

Ahmadinejad issued some new policies for the sake of his new project:

 

- Budget increase on military sector, requests buying blueprints from France.

- Elections are now nullified, Iran needs a strong individual as a leader.

- Political, religious & law convicts are now forced to do labor in monitored & guarded factories.

- Iran now accepts Caliphate refugees, is working on method to make the administration of each refugee faster.

 

 

After having a large military parade in Tehran to make the people patriotic & ready. The war exhausted nation had yet another war to fight.  The army afterwards mobilized to the borders. The borders were militarized and investments were made in agriculture & industry. The propaganda machine was activated as scholars talked about justification, economy and fabricated facts about the caliphate. Iran had to be ready.

 

 

Iranian diplomats were send to METO , Russia & India to discuss potential deals & declarations with them. Doubting what side of the coin in these international struggles was more beneficial for Iran, and it was their task to potentially gain an ally, or an enemy.

The United States of America

 

As France started fighting the Naval war, America unleashed what may have been the greatest naval power in the world, only to be rivaled by the French Grand Carrier. The U.S.S Sherman - a Supercarrier ((started page 12)) is finally ready. Although it is not as wide as the French Grand Carrier, it is certainly a lot longer and much more technologically advanced - a join effort of Imperium and American scientists, plus using the sciences from other highly advanced American naval ships. If anything would rival the Grand Carrier, its the American Supercarrier. Extremely lethal and almost unknown to the world outside (other than the French lol), the NAC and Imperium, this ship adds to the already superior American navy. The Ship sets sail for the Eastern U.S coast, joining other Navy ships already there. If the Europeans attempt an invasion, they would be bombarded by American B-2 Bombers, one of the most secret projects in the U.S arsenal. Almost impossible to identify and lock onto, a pack of these would bomb French planes into submission.

A highly advanced and very large Aircraft Carrier designed to cause as much destruction and to hold as many planes all the while as possible. Powered by four A4W Nuclear Reactors, the Sherman Supercarrier contains anti-aircraft missiles - able to detect planes of high altitude and fire at them. Surrounded by submarines and frigates, and equipped with figther jets and Overlord drones, it would be a miracle to even attempt a bombing. There are 15 Anti-missile systems and a multitude of torpedoes. However, the Supercarrier's biggest asset is how advanced the Carrier is. Made with the most up-to-date technologies, and maybe even the most technologically advanced thing on Earth, most of its systems - such as a microwave emitter to heat up enemy troops from the inside and to destroy ships, cannot be outmatched. It is deployed in the Eastern Coast of the U.S.

 

On the Supercarrier, are hundreds of drone planes. Given to the Americans by the Imperium, these planes are cheaper to produce than any jet and much more fire-efficient than a human fighter pilot. These could easily lock on and target human crew, as well as small targets. 

 

 

The U.S pulls all of its troops from the Pacific Islands, leaving it to the Imperium. The majority of U.S troops are redirected to Hawaii, and Naval ships continue westward, through the Panama Canal, and into the Eastern coast of the United States. There are over 20 Frigates, 15 Submarines, 5 Aircraft Carriers, 1 Supercarrier, and a multitude of bombers and drone planes stationed at the East. The American populace gets ready for a devastating war and more and more enlist in the Army. A gigantic trench construction project begins, and trenches are dug all around the coastlines of the NAC. Mexico is urged to do the same. Machine gunners line up the coast, Supply lines are heavily fortified with armed guards and anti-aircraft weapons, and military bases are put on overload. The U.S Army starts teaching citizens self-defense combat and, since the majority of the populace own a firearm, they show the people how to use them.

 

American military technology is hastened greatly - a large number of scientists put a hold to their own research, and start aiding military research. The American Cyclopes drone is almost readied and studied enough to enter construction-mode. A multitude of other systems also start development.

 

 

The Baldr-1 ((8 pages)):

 

A microwave emitting super-tank, the Baldr, named after the Norse god of the sun, uses Supercarrier technology on land to fry particles and persons from the inside. If used at high-power it would almost cause catastrophic lives lost, however death by it wouldn't even be painful. Extremely and heavily armored, this goes into top-secret construction, and not even the Vice-President would know about it.

 

 

The Aegis ((6 pages)):

 

Lightweight body armor, capable of high-caliber bullet resistance is put into research. This project is less secret, however it is not advertised. Made out of a mixture of plastic and metals, the Aegis could rival Imperium and European body armors.

 

 

The Angel of Hell ((7 pages)):

 

Also named, the Lucifer-1, this helicopter is heavy armed and can easily be outfitted with the latest of technologies. Able to fly at higher and lower altitudes, and also equipped with high-end firepower, the Lucifer could hold and transport a large amount of troops, as well as deal a deadly blow on the battlefield.

 

 

 

In response to the growing tensions between the West and well, the West, President Baker makes a speech addressing every nation on Earth.

If you do not advance, we will not either. I invite all the nations involved in this near-war-conflict to Washington D.C, the same place we brokered our last agreements. If you refuse, it will be your arrogance that led to this conflict. If you accept, we can all sigh in relief and not worry about our sons and daughter. That is all."

French Reaction Post

 

President de Guise goes on the air to formally accept the offer on behalf of all METO nations to attend the Washington D.C. The President releases a statement as the French Navy maneuvers its way into strategically potent defensive positions. Their arch style defense block would allow for the Bougainville to hit them from several different angles before their fleet could even touch the French. 

 

"The French and METO governments do not want war. In fact, we would much rather continue to pursue peace and cooperation between the NAC and METO. However, the NAC has completely disregarded the aggressive actions of the Slavic Union and as such has been corrupted in their vision. Unless the Slavic Union stops its aggressive expansion, the countries of METO will be forced into war."

 

EDIT:

 

Advanced stealth technology, developed by the French army, allows for helicopters and dropships to go undetected even among the most advanced of systems. This technology is foreign to most and has not been revealed to even their closest of allies. Several helicopters depart in cloaked mode from the installation in Morocco, however they could not be seen, heard, or detected. 

 

Albanian troops are not allowed into Morocco and sent back to Albania.

"We are not the aggressors in this war. Russia set in motion the events that bring us to today when they began subjugating their neighbours. The METO equally desires peace; however it is the Slavic Union that does not share this desire. The NAC possesses the ability to end this war much faster with far less casualties if they either withdraw or call their Russian allies to a halt. If President Baker truly does want peace, truly does want what is best for his people, then he will do so.

So President Baker, why do you escalate this war?"
