Le Opération de Trombone

 

 

 

A group of eight stealth helicopters flew low across the Chinese wasteland around the area of the capital city, the first active camouflage systems being tested in the field. An operator on each chopper scanned the ground for thermal signatures, searching for vents to evacuation chambers. They would find several evacuation chambers, enter them, and slaughter the people inside if they were not who they were looking for. Who were they looking for?

 

It was in the ruins of the Imperial City that the French government found a group of them, huddled in a cramped and undersupplied bunker. The advancing Imperial armies were not far off and would be there within the next day or so. The Legionnaires grabbed the assembled group and piled them into the helicopters, which all were shocked to see materialized from thin air because of their advanced stealth technology. The Chinamen were lifted far across the country to the Kashmir region of India, where they land to refuel in an isolated location far from the prying eyes of civilization. The helicopters then flew over the Islamic Caliphate without detection, their stealth technology allowing for them to never be seen, and landing on the Charles de Gaulle in the evening as the sun rose over the Mediterranean. 

 

This was Opération Trombone, the mission to acquire Chinese scientists in absolute secret for use in French military research. 

 

WAR IN LIBYA

 

The wave of Jihadists seemed endless, the French continued their ruthless, efficient slaughter but morale flatlined as it seemed more and more endlessly piled up over the dead bodies the French had already made. It was said for every one dead Frenchmen, there were 100 Islamic casualties both civilian and military. The French Leclerc and Rafael continue to outclass even the most modern of Egyptian/IC weaponry and defeat them in several engagements on the battlefield. The IC could not even consider the idea of pushing the French back, their superior weaponry assured them of that. 

 

What may have truly broke the Islamists though was the deployment of the first set of Richelieu MKIs. Only 15 were given to the best of French Foreign Legion squads for field testing, but their unbiased killing and innovative technology propelled those squadrons ahead of others as their body counts skyrocketed. The Richelieu MKI was capable of somewhat sentient thought, Virtual Intelligence much like that which spoke to each Legionnaire, made the drone almost superior in thought and actions to the average human soldier. Its exoskeleton consisted of tightly bound nanotubes that allowed for both extremely rigid and armored capability, but also movement akin to a normal human. It could jump higher, run faster, and shoot better than any human currently deployed in combat worldwide. But the French only deployed 15 for the fight against the Jihadis as production took ages to complete. If a squad were compromised them they destroyed the Richelieu remotely to keep it from entering enemy hands. 

 

 

With the Richelieu boosting morale as reports reach the advancing Legion, a renewed offensive begins to push the IC totally out of Libya and too the Egyptian border. Although Egypt pours more troops into the border, it is not enough to stop the modern French army. The true tactical advantage which the Egyptians and IC simply cannot deal with is the Napoleon MKII artillery barrage system which destroys the advancing enemy before they can even meet the French army in the field. The artillery fires a cluster of rockets simultaneously which litter the bombarded area and breaks an advancing enemy. 

 

SUPPORT FOR THE INDONESIANS

 

French Humanitarian fleets sail around the Cape of Good Hope on their way to mainland Indonesia. The fleet holds several tons of food and bottled water, as well as French GIGN to help secure the surviving population. A stern message is sent out to the surviving Chinese population, urging them to surrender to the Indonesians before they are further harmed by their own government.

The Argentine Republic

As Asia burned, the Argentinians advanced. The armed forces, now all equipped with the Pòn-11s and numbering 200,000 with the addition of the newly annexed Paraguayan forces move on the minor neighbours Chile and Bolivia. As all eyes rest on Indonesia and resources are already being shipped to their humanitarian aid, the invasion is a surprise.

 

125,000 troops cross the Southern border between Chile and Argentina, supported by 200 TAM tanks all newly serviced in preparation for the invasion. The troops storm across the easy battlefield of the flatter land there and begin sweeping up the country along the coast, calling in artillery and air strikes when stuck fighting hard pockets in the numerous mountains and complicated territory of the nation. The advance slows after the initial surprise attack and the Chilans start fortifying but the advance never grinds to a complete halt either, taking the country kilometer by kilometer.

 

Meanwhile, in Bolivia a smaller force of 75,000 infantry and 100 TAM tanks cross the border early in the morning, supported by the nation's 5,000 Portadores elite veteran unit when meeting hard resistance. The flatter lands and plateau of Bolivia make it ideal for artillery, and so large numbers of units are deployed behind the line of the Argentine advancement, pounding down on the Bolivian defenders when the 50 Sol-1s aren't. On this front, advancement is not as slow as in the tough terrain of Chile, but keeps a steady progress.

 

The Argentine government begins research of a new tank, the TAM-2, adapted with a higher-quality turret and gun and with newer armour and weapons systems, including a small rocket pod for the destruction of lightly armoured vehicles and anti-personnel vehicles. The tank will also have a lighter anti-personnel version which deploys heavy machine guns instead of cannons and rockets and which will use wheels instead of tracks to achieve greater speeds. Meanwhile, the air force also initiates an anti-drone training programme which studies the behaviour and possible counter-tactics against the popular drone aircraft deployed en-masse by other nations. This is a continuous training programme and includes a small group of observers and researches focusing on finding the weaknesses and flaws of the various new drone models across the globe.

 

Presidente Peròn also sends his condolences to the Indonesian and Indochinese peoples and condemns the Chinese government's actions publicly.

The United States of America

 

The Russian troops sent to Alaska to train with Army Rangers are treated well and the two groups make heavy progress teaching each other tactics and whatnot. The Russians are given a brothers-in-arms medal, and finally, the plan to land on Mars, continues. The United States once again heads into a recession, and has no choice but to cut off money being sent to Europe to aid the Caliphate. However, American food and tech rations find their way to French and Russian territories. Food and Medical supplies are sent to Indochina.

 

 

The Viper-Shades are finished developing and undergo mass production, whilst the Charlie Ray (CR-117), and the Wolf Tank start early Alpha development. The Canadians' offer is accepted ((even though the President is now Baker, not Sherman)), and U.S immigration officials have less restrictions between Canadian and American trade and passage. The U.S officially embargoes the entire Middle East, not allowing even a penny to where it needs to go. Private Military Contractors and Mercs are refused the chance to work for the Caliphate.

 

 

The Chinese are condemned in resorting to Nuclear Warfare. Over 60,000,000 lives had been lost in a split second - the amount lost in the entirety of World War II. As China becomes a nuclear wasteland, American immigration barres high-ranking Chinese officers from coming to America.

 

 

The Super-Carrier enters construction mode ((planning started 4 pages ago with a 5 page boost)). King Asrul is invited to see. They are the biggest ships in the world yet, and extremely technologically advanced - able to hold hundreds of drone and RC planes. They have anti-nuclear-weapon missiles, advanced AA guns, and turrets the likes of which have never been seen. As they are being built, their hulls are nearly done and assembled in two different docks. One has an American flag on it, and is named, the U.S.S Sherman, whilst the Indonesian one has an Imperium flag on it - Asrul is asked to name it. A soldier asks Baker why he would decide to name it the Sherman, and Baker replies:

Greater Germany

 

Wulfgang sat in his war room, on his table, looking at a map of his country, in his world. Everyone's world. It had been 3 a.m in the morning when he was told that the Chinese essentially suicide-bombed themselves with Nuclear missiles in a last attempt to keep the Indonesians out of the country. Death tolls were said to be somewhere in the hundreds of millions, with the radioactive fallout expected to - in the long term - kill millions more. The Supreme Chancellor of the Forth Reich sat there, pondering. What had been so important to the Indonesian's for them to risk planetary annihilation, just to gain control of a country? Was it more land? Some Chinese secrets somewhere? Why would anyone allow that to happen to everyone's world? 

 

When asked what the German's were going to do to provide help for the Oceanic Empire, Indochinese or the Chinese, his face was blank and he asked for the next question. No help would be given to a man who had committed suicide, so why help countries that had attempted the same thing? As for a reply to the Russian's, Wulfgang was infuriated. What blind, pig-headed leader could offer war, when a war he helped create was already engulfing the world? The Supreme Chancellor released this statement:

I do not know if you're aware, or if you are simply blinded by all the jets and tanks obscuring your vision, but you have not helped the citizens you annexed, killed and endangered in the creation of your dream empire. Their countries still remain close to third-world standard, their people starving and children not receiving an education. Again, you have not helped them, but made their life worse. So, here's what I suggest: if you wish to keep your Slavic Empire (with many countries that aren't slavic in it), you should spend less of your budget on military expansion, and more on social welfare. Of course, we wouldn't want it to be all a waste, so use the military that you claim is oh-so-strong to beat back the terrorist Islamic Caliphate you helped to create. If you continue to expand westwards, and again try to attack Poland or Hungary, who are both a part of METO, it shall mean war. Do so, and METO will regard you as an ally, not hindering you in any way. Refuse, and we shall continue to regard you as an incompetent leader, with an outdated army and unhappy citizens. Your choice, Mr. President.

It wasn't a threat, though the hot head Russians would probably see it that way. Standing out in a large conference room, questions were thrown at him left, right and center, all about a range of topics. But he stayed strong, fluent in his words, determined.

 

"Ministerpräsident, what do you plan to say to the Americans and Indonesians concerning the exoskeleton designs?"

 

"We shall not disclose our secrets of the exo-skeleton designs to any country outside of METO. We do this for our safety as a nation, and countries throughout the world."

 

"Chancellor! Chancellor! How goes the situation against the Islamic Caliphate? Will we win?"

 

"Our ground forces have not yet been deployed to foreign lands, but the French Foreign Legions have been beating back the Caliphate in North Africa whilst the Italians and Greeks fight hard in Turkey. So far, our aircraft have established air superiority in Northern Turkey, and our navy (along with the French, Italian, SUNS and British), have secured the Mediterranean."

The German First Army - established after the seizing of Austria - moves down through Italian controlled Balkan states to Greece, where Merchant Marines ferry across the men to cleared out Northern Turkey. The now reinforced Italian army is allowed to push further southwards, Istanbul having been nigh-flattened by continuous airstrikes and bombardments. Meanwhile, the German First Army fights along the west coast of Turkey, Panzer-VII and FTHR tanks proving their combat efficiency for the first time as they clear the way for the Rommel-IIs. With thermal cameras, insurgents are rooted out and slaughtered - either methodically by the small, tracked drones or brutally by the repeating cannons of the FTHR light tanks. The main divisions of men move down afterwards, their columns supported by  the Rommel-IIs, air support and long range artillery provided by bought Napoleon-IIs.

 

 

Compared to the Italian meticulous way of ensuring only the IC fighters get killed, the German First Army leaves nothing but destruction in it's wake. Each town and city it passes through is left as nout more than a shell of it's previous stature. Undeniably, however, the worst hit city was Bursa.

 

An estimated 15-20,000 Islamic Militants were holed up there, supported by AFVs and old Russian tanks. Too hot for the column to go in alone, air strikes and bombardments from the Napoleon-IIs blew the city into smithereens for two whole days. Those trying to flee the city were brought down by the encircling tank columns or attack helicopters. By the end of the siege, over 6,000 artillery shells, 2,000 tank rounds, 10,000 machine gun bullets and 124 missiles had been fired at the town. All surrendering IC militants were shot on sight, as infantry moved in to secure the town.

However fast the attack was, after three months of hard fighting the German First Army needed to rest, recover and regroup. They had burned through central Turkey like a wildfire, making it as far as Ankara before having to pull back and set up defensive positions. A cleared zone - stretching 6 miles each way - had been constructed, allowing for more supplies and men to be lifted to the front line. Covered by Napoleon-IIs, it was a safe 'green zone' for the troops. Military commanders reckoned it would be another three to four weeks before the army was ready to make another push.

Third Mexican Empire

 

 

Upon Maximilian's ascension, the dissidents in Mexico have only become increasingly militant. To counteract this, the Emperor has channeled most of it's budget to setting up efficient administrative regions, cutting back on military upkeep for now. Furthermore, to keep the populace in order, he begins work on establishing a secret police of sorts, away from public eye. As for the drug cartels, the Emperor would do nothing about it for now, it was too large and involved too much money to be stopped by an insecure Mexico. For now, he was primarily focused on organising the country and establishing infrastructure equal to first world countries.

 

Maximilian also sends out a delegation of emissaries to the United States and United Lusitanian Countries for a trade agreement and if possible, an alliance. Word has also been sent out to the Central American countries to join the Empire as autonomous states, on the grounds of them being once apart of the First Mexican Empire. (Sorry for the mediocre post, still getting used to this.)

A few things to note:

 

I'm sorry about my lack of Mod-Skills guys. This is the first time I've done a Nations FRP and didn't expect it to quite get this big. Anyways, I'm very sorry for my lack of experience and skill, and I'll do better keeping up in the future.

No Nukes or EMPs from this point onwards. Everything done so far is okay and I won't void it.

 

Technological Advances need to be legitimate and cannot surpass modern - modern futuristic restrictions. You guys have done a great job following through on this and I hope it goes that way. Now, on to the Mod Post:

 

The Imperium, along with Indochina take full control of China, although there are nuclear fallout zones throughout. The Islamic Caliphate, however, had pushed through the North and annexed Mongolia and NW China. The Caliphate delcares that it would give Mongolia and NW China to the Oceanic Imperium, and make the Imperium the only nation that receives Middle-Eastern oil, along with a military alliance, on the condition that the Imperium cease relations with European nations and the USA. 

 

The French and Caliphate fight hard against each other, and the French successfully push the Caliphate back to Egypt. However, on the Algerian-Egyptian border, the forces reach a stalemate - neither side making progress. This line becomes known as the Bloodied Border.

 

Italy and Germany take the greater-region of Turkey and it is shared between Italian and German forces.

 

Argentina successfully takes Chile and Bolivia with minor casualties.

 

The Islamic Caliphate march into East Africa, easily taking the regions. They also the region of Niger.

 

Greenland is forced into the Nordic Union.

 

Germany takes the Czech Republic and Slovakia with minor casualties.

 

All Balkan states surrender themselves to Italy

 

The Central American countries have a hatred for the United States, and would only join Mexico if it launched attacks on the U.S and ceased relations.

The Socialist Union of Nordic States

With Greeland's surrender, a contingent of 500 men remain to behind to help with stability. The rest of the force (9,500 men, 1 Destroyer, 2 Corvettes) return home to Sweden.

After the IC being pushed back to Libya, the SUNS fleet there sails east. It re-stocks at German-Turkey, then moves to blockade Cyprus and shell any military forces there.

The Union also sends aid to the OCEANIC IMPERIUM in the form of medical supplies, fresh water, and some food, but not a great deal. They condemn the actions of China as barbaric and incredibly unethical.

With the food shortage beginning to set in, the Union begins research into more advanced agricultural GMO technology. The aim is to make crops more durable, more fruitful, and more nutritious. METO members are invited to help. ((4 pages until synthesis begins))

The swiftly advancing military technology of the world caused Sweden to want to create its own high-tech equipmet, despite the METO providing them with their own technology. They begin work on planning for a new type of naval vessel, a so-called Supercruiser. This vessel would be truly huge, more than double the size of any destroyer and have enough firepower to fight off a destroyer fleet by itself. Again, other METO members are invited to assist. The Republic of South Korea

 

"The time is now."

 

After the nuke was detected, thousands of civilians were evacuated from Seoul as the slow nuke approached. However missile interceptors are fired off from destroyers stationed nearby the DMZ waters easily repel the one nuclear weapon. Civilians are all directed to nearby nuclear shelters in the case of an additional warhead.

 

In response to the advancing threat the South has been waiting for, artillery is fired off over the DMZ. and any advancing soldiers are imminently repelled and front line officers report to have taken the first kill of the war. For the next hours the two would continue to exchange artillery fire.

 

In the sea east of the mainland the South's navy was wasting no time. An advance was made and the First Carrier Strike Force and a large handful of North Korean ships and submarines engaged in a large battle. A total of 12 patrol boats and 3 submarines were reported to have been sunk with a total estimated casualty count of 7,200. However the South did not walk away without damages as it had last one patrol boat and a frigate was relatively damaged by a  RBU-1200 fired from a North patrol boat during the engagement. An estimated 350 casualties are counted among the dead.

 

As soon as six hours past a large army is mobilized to the front consisting of:

The first Field Army pushed into the DMZ. Meanwhile a squadron of harriers are launched from the South Korean Light Aircraft Carrier in the Yellow Sea and proceed to bomb behind enemy lines, thus disrupting a majority of the North's supply lines to the front. The moral of the Northeners wouldn't last forever.

 

In the Sea of Japan a massive Amphibious landing is prepared against Namdo and Burkto. The force consists of:

The initial assault will consist of 31,500 Marines and the AAVs with support from bombing runs from naval Harriers. The South Korean command hope to successfully take control of the entire North Eastern region of the North to halt any additional nuclear sites within the area from launching anymore missiles while the main force in the south continues to pound its way and keep a large majority of the Northern force at bay.

 

 

As the armies clash reserves are called up and soon an additional 4.5 million troops are soon to be at the front in the coming days.

 

News media and covers the entire story, announcing to the world the start of the Second Korean War. It is noted that in the initial attack 26 Americans, 11 Indonesians, and 14 Vietnamese at fallen victim to North Korean artillery fire in the initial charge into the South. The media also puts heavy leverage on the attempted use of Nuclear weaponry which would have resulted in the death of thousands of civilians from multiple nations across the globe due to the South's popular tourism.

Indochinese Democratic Republic

 

Grievous destruction was the best way to describe the state of the confederacy. Millions upon millions dead as well as all those wounded and the destroyed infrastructure. Never again, though, was the best way to describe the state of the citizens. Shock and sadness gave way to an insurmountable rage. Someone would have to pay.

 

With war erupting in the Korean peninsula, the air mobile division and an additional two armored divisions are shipped to aid the South Koreans, a long standing ally. The first to arrive would be the 2nd brigade of the 5th airborne division which would make a jump near Seoul, and a warning is promptly sent to the South Korean government. ((1 page before rest of troops arrive)). It is asked that the Indochinese receive word before any naval activities occured, so as to provide aid. A weapon also needed to be tested.

 

The occupation of parts of Southern China continue. An additional 1,500,000 refugees are caught, and the remainders of the IX Border Corps surrender to the Indochinese forces, which also seize a major arsenal at Nuax-Jhuanki. Accommodations are being made to house the refugees and such. The overall operation is considered a military success. 

 

The Premier welcomes the Emperor and his retinue to Singapore, the most luxurious accommodations being made available to them. All the goods and vices of the city are laid at the disposal of them. During a conference, the Premier asks that one or more members of the Indochinese government be made part of the Imperial Indonesian retinue and not just be some smaller sort of government.

 

 

Two additional Glory class submarines are commissioned for the Navy.

 

Diplomacy and Foreign Policy

-The government thanks all the nations which provided aid immediately after the nuclear attacks.

-It is again asked that officers be attached to METO forces in order to observe the ongoing conflict with the Caliphate.

The Oceanic Imperium

As Asrul looks over the images of destruction, all he feels is anger. Such a tragedy would never have happened if the Chinese had simply accepted unification. Hundred of millions dead across Asia...

The solution, he knew, was what it had always been. When the world was united under one government, there would be no more crimes like this one. But for the time being, he had work to do on his own land.

The mass destruction and exodus from China had still left a huge amount of people living there--the country was simply too big for everyone to leave. All told, there were still a billion people there, with their lives turned upside down. As Imperial forces solidified their rule over the country, aid workers rush to prevent loss of life by getting them away from irradiated zones, although not out of humanitarian interest. The Chinese were no use to the emperor dead.

Indochina is granted administration over Hainan, Guangxi, Guizhou, Yunnan and Sichuan provinces. Each other province is given its own sub-administration, led by a Chinese collaborator. The task of these governors is to keep their people in line while convincing them that the Imperium is their true master.

While foreign aid was holding famine at bay, it would not last forever. With much of the Imperium's farmland irradiated, the government begins to hollow out massive underground chambers, engineered with efficiency in mind, that will serve as farmland soon. Chemical factories begin to churn out Potassium Iodide in expectation of many cases of radiation sickness.

After receiving the German refusal, the Imperium asks to buy French exoskeletons instead.

Asrul is unable to leave the country with such a crisis going on, but he informs the Americans that the ship is to named the INS Nemesis.

At the start of the war, East Asia had been a prosperous region, headed into a golden age of peace and wealth. But the emperor had changed, and what was now rising out of the ashes now was a nightmare.

With the exception of organizations in Indochina, the imperial government takes direct control of everything. Each province of the empire is designated a district, and citizens--which the administration begins to refer to as human resources--no longer choose their place of residence, this instead being mandated by the government.

On the outskirts of Singapore, plans for a new Imperial Palace and government headquarters are being put into effect in the form of an enormous, pyramidal, concrete structure. When completed, it will take the title of the largest building on Earth, and will be visible from space. On its face will be engraved a new motto, one that will encompass everything that Oceania does: PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH.

The Islamic Caliphate receives a reply:
"The Imperium is the only true ruler of China, and we will not bargain for what is rightfully ours. Your illegal occupation of the northwest is an insult to all of us, as is the existence of your pathetic excuse for a state. There is only one destiny for you, and that is annihilation. Prepare yourselves."

The imperial fleet once more heads south, and picks up a force of 500,000 men as it rounds Malaysia, beginning to head west. Another force of 500,000 begins to work their way northeast across China, aiming to engage the Islamic forces there.

In response to Canada's refusal to ship Chinese back to the Imperium, Canadian vessels are refused passage through Oceanic waters, and Canadian flights are refused passage through imperial airspace. Planes would be brazenly shot down if spotted, while ships would be boarded and seized.

The Indochinese request is granted, especially as with the legislature dissolved, the semi-autonomous state is currently unrepresented. Indochinese officials are widely appointed to imperial positions and several are made advisors to the emperor.

Greater Germany

 

As soon as Turkey was reclaimed, plans to split up the country were immediately drawn and distributed. This distribution was told to be non-negotiable, and would only be between Germany, Italy and Britain.

 

 

A secret message is then sent to all the major METO members, described as follows: "This split up of Turkey is strategic. The Italians are awarded the west coast and Istanbul, to allow for connection to be made to this new land and their Balkan empire. It also gives METO the option to control major Black Sea trade to Russia, should President Ivan be aggressive. The German First army moves up to the captured land, clearing it of any last militia men. Once secure, forces fly in from Germany to round up civilians into forced labor camps on the North coast. Armenia and Georgia fall to the European nations as they have less than half of a Muslim minority, despite strict Caliphate rule. Jihadist groups invade and try to stop the progress, however they are easily repelled as the Caliphate cannot fight a war from three to four different fronts.

The Indonesians request for exoskeleton technology are declined, and are politely told that no technology from any METO country would be leaving their borders. Essentially they were saying to not ask for technology again from any METO nation, as they would not be receiving such a thing.

 

The German offer is accepted and President de Guise meets with Wulfgang to discuss the details of such a project. The negotiations occur in a facility far off from the public eye and is heavily guarded. The meeting is kept secret to the public and the nation is told that the President is on vacation in the Caribbean. 

 

THE WAR ON THE BORDER

 

The Foreign Legion's advance ground to a halt as it reached the Egyptian border as heavy insurgent activity bogged down the men. At least for now. The Richelieu MKIs struck fear into the hearts of the Jihadis, but would not be enough on their own. A continued bombardment through the use of Napoleon IIs devastates reinforcement troops as they attempt to move while air superiority is maintained by the French. LeClerc tanks and Legionnaires push slowly forward, with the goal of capturing the city of Alexandria by the end of the month and then pushing forward toward Cairo.

 

An offer is sent to the Egyptian provincial governor to see if he could end the fighting and allow the French to continue their advance. 

 

"In return for your cooperation, I am willing to allow you to survive. I will turn over to you the territories that the French take in the rest of the Caliphate and allow it to be apart of a single, greater empire ruled by Egypt in which you are the sole Caliph. This is your only opportunity to end the bloodshed."

Republic of India

 

Devi wanted peace, and the Indonesian offer was tempting. Things were spiraling out of control world wide, and Devi had no wish to be swallowed into the Oceanic Empire. Word is sent back, saying India will agree to the terms. 

 

Trade was resumed, and though India wasn't as supposedly economically crippled as the Indonesians thought-due to the build up of home industry. Money was able to resume civil projects, and the army was given more supplies. It was time for an offensive, but not foolishly against the Oceanic Empire.

 

The Hornets as the navy dubbed them were well and truly in production, and the time for their first mission came. With the border of Pakistan so heavily guarded, and the Islamic Caliphate units so heavily committed, a blood bath had ensued. The IC were repulsed with mounting casualties on both sides after every fight. So far the Indians remained in their entrenchment's, but that changed. Indian forces have been training for years now (Since page 1) and were armed with advanced equipment bought before trade collapsed. Marching to conserve fuel, they had arrived at the front fresh and remained static with their fellow battle weary comrades. Artillery rained shells on the IC, and tank spearheads supported by Indian Ghorka Rifles advanced on an IC charge. Not expecting the advance after so much static warfare, the IC were surprised and hit hard. The Indian army group 1 as a whole-some 1,200,000 men- advanced. Hornets flew over the advancing line, and Ghorka Commandos landed behind and in the IC territory. They targeted AA emplacements, trying to open windows for more Hornets to land troops in. Pakistani nationals so long calling for Indian aid were relieved, and the rag-tag remnants of the Pakistani rebels joined the Indian cause.

 

The IC were expected to put up a stiff resistance but inevitably be swept clear of Pakistan, the Indian advance was ruthless and unexpected. As the IC fell back and regroup and fought, and repeated, Hornets landed engineer units guarded my commandos behind the lines, blowing bridges and roads in an attempt to trap the IC units fleeing so they could be eliminated by the army.

 

The reserves are called back to action, and India resumes a 4 million men and women army. As the 2 million or so reserves were called, they had already received training from earlier. All they would need is to be re-armed and transported to their posting. AFV's were in abundance since the Indian army moving into Pakistani was marching, and Indian troops were moved north. Spearheading from the very tip of India surrounded by IC forces, some 500,000 men were committed.

 

Research funds are pooled for a mobile all purpose rocket system. Dubbed the FRACK by the infantry, it would be a slow but mobile tank with multiple missile racks. Missiles specialized to take out airplanes, artillery shells, drones, other missiles, and other targets would be produced and paired to go with it. Indochina is asked to return the interred 20,000 Indian soldiers by sea.

Canadian reactions to Indonesian aggression has seemingly startled the nation as shipments holding Chinese refugees ceased making return trips in the last year. Refugees are still welcome, however national security has been elevated and border control is on the look-out for Indonesian vessels along the coast of British Columbia as fears of an Indonesian attack become frequent. The Chinese refugees in the country are said to be up in the thousands now as immigration officers rush to coordinate the setting up of several camps in British Columbia. Already, several Chinese officials have been caught trying to cross into Canada and have been, as per the Governor's word, deported back to the Indonesian government for prosecution.

 

 

As part of the effort to modernize the Canadian soldiers - refitting all Canadian military personnel - Canadian officials spearheaded by the Minister of Foreign Affairs move to meet with American officials in hopes of sealing a deal for the purchase of modern weapons and equipment for Infantry Brigades and more. Governor Pierce said in a press conference just the other day, "The world is changing as we know it, fellow Canadians. In an effort to better defend our lands from agitators and invaders, I will be taking steps into ensuring our military is up to date with modern regulations," he continued, laying a respectful salute to the cameras before heading off stage.

 

 

Years have passed since the beginning stages of the construction of two HMS Elizabeth modeled Aircraft Carriers, and progress is, slowly but surely, moving forward as more and more discoveries are made to better the model. It is slated for a finish sometime within the next eight years, with the second model to be finished the year after ((9 more pages)). The Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral George Russo, stated that this is a ground-breaking spearhead in the Canadian Navy, and once finished will allow the Canadians to better support friends & allies abroad.

 

Governor Pierce called for an assembly of all the Ministers under him (Governor General is defunct) for a discussion on centralization in Canada, giving the administration more power over the country, though it is said Pierce is just trying to assert his power in a land quickly losing its democratic value. After reforms & several mandates were passed later that evening, reports of riots were seen in the Eastern Provinces, Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Quebec. While none too serious as of now, this is quickly becoming a serious issue on the plate of the Canadian government as their demands seem to replicate those of the Jacobins of old who helped establish the constitution in the British Empire.

 

To quell sudden unrest - much to Pierce's dismay - he made a statement to rest assured all those with issues in his assertion of power: "My fellow Canadians! Are we not far from uncivilized? To riot in the streets and damage private property? My reforms will only give you a more efficient government, for your protection and for the better of Canada as a whole; with the loss of the constitution three years ago and counting, we have lost our national image, and we should do well to it back lest the world take it by force from us, my friends! Will you join me and cease your attacks, or will you act like those who destroyed their own country on the subcontinent?" 

 

He went on to promise less taxes and better minimum wages for all the Unions in the country in both the West and the East Provinces, as well as a more efficient but less expensive health care plan still the envy of all in the Americas. Hoping that would be enough to quell their superstition until absolution was met in the coming months. 

 

As mention of the constitution gave rise to old questions, Governor Pierce laid these to rest as relations with the United Kingdom were sought again, as the Foreign Affairs Minister of the United Kingdom was invited to Parliament Hill to discuss a full-time alliance & trade agreement, Pierce likely seeking the position of Governor General which would surely give him absolute power so long as the reforms and mandates remained from the old government, and so with those offers was also a request from Governor Pierce personally to be approved of by the King of the United KIngdom as per formality, and be declared Governor General of Canada. (Requesting mod post)
