An Accurate Evaluation

"You forget to include that he declared Maric in acting of treason, an offense punishable by death and attempted to act on such. I believe it was truly only because he knew killing Maric then and there would not work out that he allowed him to go then. He had no right to act as 'the law' and attempt to enact his personal justice. The Emperor is controlled by the same laws as peasants are."

He did not attempt to act on such. He released Maric from Petrus willingly, as a show of good faith, instead of pursuing more drastic punishment. Then, at the Fort he was declared an open traitor, but not beforehand. The study of what a 'declaration' is should be something you make yourself fully aware of before discussing matters of law.

"Incorrect. There were no letters sent out, we gathered to discuss what had happened and our confusion. They came with no provocation and weapons drawn."

I did not claim to know what level of organization your men are capable of. And, Tuvya's men came to expel Meric from a fort that no longer belonged to him, as his titles had been stripped. That is not 'no provocation.'

"Truly, such is debatable."

No, it is not. Meric's right to legally hold the Fort was stripped with his title, and any man who says otherwise is reading the wrong nation's laws.

"That is like saying a murderer should not be punished for their crimes, but put to doing exactly what they enjoy. Making a sadist kill for your cause is not just. They are not punished. They are rewarded with better arms and the law on their side for being murderers."

No "Flays" serve Tuvya. Some of his guardsmen are indeed descendents of some Flay bannermen, but nothing more. They do not practice banditry or murder, and they are not rewarded for murder, but for loyal service to the Empire.

"You say this, but as a historian I'm well-aware that Aesterwald was part of the Imperium Tertius which was the Chivay Empire. The third Empire is essentially no more, because its now the Holy Oren Empire, so by their logic Aesterwald was never part of de-jure Holy Oren Empire because it could only be part of de-jure Imperium Tertius."

I should here denounce you as a liar for stating that you are a historian, for you favor fiction of fact. Instead, however, I will simply correct you. The Imperium Tertius, the Third Empire, and the Holy Oren Empire are simply the same entity under a different name, associated with alterations in their governance and systems of succession.

"It's quite obvious, actually, that his intent is to force the Raevir culture upon all. He has opposed all that sought another culture and to not be apart of Oren due to the unwanted life-style of The Carrions."

In the same way Ser Maric seeks to propagate Heartlander ideals, the Lords of Carrion seek to propagate Raevir ideals. However, never has Tuvya sought to eradicate, dismantle, or expel those whose cultures conflict with that of Raev. He has accepted elves, dwarves, Heartlanders and Waldenians as friends. Such can be exemplified through the marriage by the Rovins to Aleksandr Carrion.

"As mentioned, he literally did try to go to war with them. The only reason it was stopped was the rise of The Undead."

It would appear the threat Undead was capable of motivating Emperor Tuvya to seek a peaceful solution against an insurrectionist movement spurred by the anti-Carrion sentiments that have been and still are being propagated in the Konigreich. He would have been within his right to crush the rebellion entirely. However, with the Undead threat so prevelant, Ser Maric has sought fit to force war upon Emperor Tuvya by declaring himself King and stealing a piece of the Empire's unifying crown.

This opposes your own argument. They could not have done so legally because in a display of illegal power hunger, Maric and his followers were declared as traitors and acting in treason when they tried to legally change how the electorate vote was handled."

Consider this the last word you will hear regarding this specific subject, because frankly my fellow scholars and I are tired of answering this question for those not fully educated on traditional feudal law.

To dismantle the Empire is inherently illegal and treacherous, no matter who does it. There is no legal precedent by which to accomplish this. That is enough of that.

"Actually, such was promise to commoners and Edmund Horen was put to his position for this exact reason."

If such a thing was 'promised' for the sake of your radical Horen patriarch, then it was redacted; if it was ever truly promised as you claim. The House of Magnates is established, and that is far more of an extremely radical democratic shift than offering the common man fair trial. To do both at the same time would mean I myself would condemn it as a breach of law and tradition.

"This sounds like a threat to me. So, as usual, this is what The Carrion's resort to."

I am not a Carrion. Just a foolish boy.

But then again most of my arguments are flawed in some way as there is always some method of disenfranchising my word. However I have entered this conflict to allow the freedom of my Vassals, to which they had been demanding for many moons and thusly proceeded to back stab me. Without showing any intention from the vassals to not aid the Rebels, I have continued with my actions. I continue my aid for I have given my word to the Heartlanders, and now I simply have nothing to lose do I? I am not blinded by greed, nor am I blinded by the quest for land. I will shoot straight and not stray from the course that I have aimed upon, be it death or victory."

You gave your word to Tuvya you would be a force for unity. And now you fight because you 'have nothing to lose?' You can not call yourself a man of the people, not any longer. You have grown mad with rage like the late Jack Rovin and seek to do nothing other than to dismantle the Carrion Vochna for no reason other than for feigned revenge. And at the cost of your nation, and your people. Creator have mercy on you.

"I will clarify. I have nothing to lose, neither to do the people who are fighting for Vanderfell's desire for freedom. I have shot straight and have acted alongside the wishes of my people. As for giving Tuvya my word, I have. However when the war broke out it had appeared to be a political move by the Carrions to remove a threat to their power. As said, I have grown sickly and have given executive powers to Rosencrantz Revandir, for now he holds all power with my declaration of total war. However I intend to die a free man.

However if your only counter argument is to say that I am like my father, than I am proud to be."

"The reason military action was permitted within the territory to Norland was simply because in the treaty of the Grand Harvest it detailed a key point stating their intentions alongside the Carrion to invade and take Vanderfell.

To continue, the Polaks had admitted to aiding and allying Oren for Land, Power and money. However I have entered this conflict to allow the freedom of my Vassals,

  1. To grant the lands of Vanderfall to the Holy Empire of Oren if ever reclaimed from Aesterwald, for both use as a buffer zone to ensure peaceful relations and to give reminder of the fate of those who oppose the peace of a united humanity.

"If ever reclaimed sounds a lot less like directly attack or invade Aesterwald, we don't want Aesterwald all we want is to be free."

So I will once again admit it, we want land, we want power, we want wealth, but most of all, we finally want our freedom!

"If you wanted freedom for your vassals then why are you attacking us, all we want is our freedom, We have never stated that we want to attack you, we want our freedom, not to take what we don't want."

"I need not respond to all this but one point: You are no boy, you are a Carrion, and you are a liar. What you know is not something a child would so easily. And neither would you understand it to such a depth as to be able to make propaganda."

Imperial Pince Paul Carrion laughs,

"Do not forget the Horens of now a days are a product of inbreeding. These inbred whelps where given 3 chances to serve the Carrion Dynasty, yet reverted to their foolishness. Alas, I will attend Edmund Horens beheading with a smile and write about these fools in the annuls of history."

"Oh I'm inbred? My mother and father weren't related nor their mother and father, nor their mother and father, I have normal hands, feet, legs. I don't have that jawline that inbred people have. I can provide a family tree and point out this for you, but I fear that you'd just keep on going with this story. As for my house being granted three chances to serve house Carrion, I remember my ancestor giving House Carrion the chance to serve the Empire, they chose to split it up so they could later slaughter people to make a bastardized version of Godfreys Empire. Why should my family serve the Carrions when they robbed us for their own greedy ends? The Carrions who came in and slaughtered my people in an event you call the purge, why should I feel grateful that I was given the chance to serve the House that branded a man who served them 'William the Weak'. I have had enough of serving a House that got to where it is, by stealing, oathbreaking and killing, the Carrions like to preach this is what us Renatian Rebels are doing however we are not stealing, we are reclaiming! The Dragon is no pet for the Crow."

"What are you reclaiming? William the Weak is weak for a reason, he lost the Empire to the dwarves... Be thankful the Carrions restored the strength of the Empire during ANTHOS or humanity would surely be done."

"Who the **** even are you kid? Do I look like a ******* Hightower to you? Man, as much as I enjoy empty threats I may just have to follow through with this one, I'll be attending your beheading aswell.. As I will be the one to behead you, ******* scum. Tuvya, your flock literally has autism! Seriously, who the **** writes this story. Utter garbage... Seriously who even are you?" says Ilaustius Horen, not a product of inbreeding unfortunately.

Silus would watch from the afterlife, listening in on their conversations, humming once. "What a load of **** I loosened here. Seems like some ends were not tied up properly and people are picking up the old strings again." A bit grumpy he notes: "My son should retain his composure. He resembles me too much when I was young. As for the Carrions,... they should watch their tongues. Though if I had ever known that this marriage feint I agreed to whilst being a puppet king would have such reprecussions many years later I would have never agreed to it."

He then proceeds to ramble about how unfortunate it was that he was not alive and could not really do anything nor clear things up down there.

"Perhaps Novtorn should release my diary."

Yuri smiles while rubbing his hands.

"Xaxaxa you have blood which smell of dog little Horen House not even human anymore.  Mix like dogs and now are elf and orc mix.  Xaxaxa this is why you smell like shoe.  Yuo are worse dog than Darfey himself."

"Bungo, lay off the cough syrup for a change please." Ilaustius tosses him a key "I believe you're with that group that likes to open cases all day, yea? Here you go, have fun with a pink crossbow or something." he smiles
