Around the realm of Athera, birds take flight, and couriers ride. The message they carry is bare, with no ornamental seals nor flourishing signatures. To every keep, city, tavern and hovel the message travels, on a tide of cheering men and dwarves. After decades of war, there is peace in our time.

 

Treaty of 14th First Seed, 1505

 

1. The Kingdom of Urguan shall pay 75,000 minas within one Saint’s Week of the signing of this treaty to the Kingdom of Oren, as reparations for this prolonged, terrible war.

2. The Kingdom of Oren shall agree to take no Dwarven Vassals, and the Kingdom of Urguan shall agree to take no Human Vassals.

3. Relics pertaining to Urguan and Oren’s heritage are to be returned to their respective nation, should they fall into the hands of their counterpart.

4. An amendment to the Articles of Urguan shall be passed, instituting a policy of pacifism by the Kingdom of Urguan; No war may be declared for any reason, unless direct intervention of aengulic or daemonic forces is present, or a direct invasion of Urguan by a hostile foreign power takes place.
