Edict of Matrimony, 1507

 

By the order of Lord Karl Barbanov, Count of Siegrad, all marriages within the CITY OF SIEGRAD must hereby be approved by the generous Lord Barbanov before the rites of matrimony can be given by a Canonist-ordained clergyman. All marriages, after the time of this edict, that are not given approval by the Lord Barbanov are considered defunct, its perpetrators to beg forgiveness from the Lord. All marriages before the passing of this edict are considered true.

 

Failure to abide to the edict will result in just punishment, to be tarred, feathered, stoned, hanged, stoned again, dragged through the streets, and finally burned.
