To premise this, I’m not 100% sure I understand the charter system. I’ve asked a bunch of questions to Ricky, but please let me know if I misunderstood anything and I will correct as necessary. Thanks for the cooperation!

Direct Leader of the Charter: Laethis Izalith (cyber_king3)

Nation/Settlement/Guild Name: Haelun’or

Type of Charter: Nation Expansion

If possible, Declare an Official Timezone: We have a pretty wide variety, particularly strong GMT and EST presence.

If Guild, Archetype(Choose, at most, two):

Area Being Requested(Outline the Region Using the Map Provided by the GM Team. If possible, set coordinates as markers for us to make a good region on the first try):

UGHZQIM.png

It would be the islands marked C and D as well as a reasonable amount of water around it such that we could have ships on them, as we seek to control the channel. We actually already have island B in our region, I’m unsure why that’s not reflected here.

Proof of Meeting Material Requirements: https://gyazo.com/200bc5be35d628094574940e2f424888 & http://i.imgur.com/VY6qNvw.png - This is below the 40k threshold, but Ricky said we could likely negotiate lower, closer to 15 or 20k given the size of the land being claimed.

Charter Signatures:

I, cyber_king3, fully acknowledge that if roleplay in the region in question does not occur, or player retention of the area depreciates to a level where hardly any active RP remains in the area, then the area will be removed, ruined or naturalized by GMs/ET members with a 1 week probationary period.

Additional Roleplay:

http://imgur.com/a/vZfAY - Mordew’s report on the island.

http://imgur.com/a/JTSlr - A group exploring the island, discussing its size, and a brief discussion about setting up farms there.

http://imgur.com/a/Q7dwW - A discussion between the elven leadership to work together and colonize the island.

https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/129961-an-address-of-growth-and-friendship/ - Describes our intent to colonize the island and efforts taken to achieve it.

Moving to the island was discussed at a Council Meeting, however, I could not get screens due to frequent disconnects. However, several Council members discussed uses they could find for the isle.

https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/130232-exploration-of-the-northwestern-isle/ - Gives a brief description of exploration into the northwestern isle and the first event that happened there (did not get screens of event, sorry). It also suggests that the mali’aheral have named the channel upon which they reside. More events to come!

https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/130677-a-silver-age-dawns/ - The speech leading up to the RP below.

Laethis arrives upon the island, flanked by two Sillumiran and followed by several other high elves. The Sohaer ascends the top of the hill on the southeast point of the island, looking down at the denizens had followed their dear leader to hear the first act of the Silver Age.

He raises a hand for silence, the chatter quickly cutting short. It was time for him to lead his flock into the Silver Age.

“Citizens of Haelun’or, each of you who follow me have made a bold decision. You have chosen to embark upon the path of the Silver Age of Haelun’or in pursuit of maehr’sae hiylun’ehya. For this fact, I applaud your dedication to our blessed State.

This Northwest Isle stands as the last major landmass upon the Channel of Larihei outside of our control. With it, we can finally have ample farmland to support our State. We can construct a facility to produce goods for trade with the other nations to assure Haelun’or has all it requires. We can construct a staging area for our ships that will patrol the Channel and ensure our safety.

With this Northwest Isle, we control the Channel of Larihei. Thus, I present to you this Charter, hereby proclaiming this land for Haelun’or!”

A Sillumir steps forward, presenting a large parchment covered in neat, silver writing to the crowd.

“Upon this day, I declare the Northwest Isle for Haelun’or! Affirm the first act of our great Silver Age and sign the Charter so your name can be immortalized, for I promise that history shall shine fondly upon this moment of blessed silver. For it is upon this day that the Silver Age dawns, and this is its first act.

Maehr’sae hiylun’ehya!”

As per usual, some of the crowd echoes him, several high elves bustling forward to sign the Charter.

On an OOC note, I do think there’s definitely good claim to pay well under the normal 40k threshold. Haelun’or got a lot less land than any other racial nation (or really any nation, for that matter), and this would pretty much put us on part with the dark elves, the racial nation with the next least land. We obviously intend to make use of the land as well, but I do think this is another compelling reason for this Charter to go through.

The first feathered pen shoots through the air toward the charter to sign it, fired by none other than Silvos Sythaerin. As the pen signs the parchment, Silvos exclaims proudly:

Maehr'sae hiylun'ehya!

Deep beneath the island, a chord is struck. Those in Haelun'or would pause to cringe at the twang of an off-tune chord, the go about their day, utterly confused.

As soon as the moment arises, Faeron takes his quill and signs the charter "Faeron Etherkinn".  A smile from ear to ear before taking his leave.

Kelthran Parmandil quickly and elegantly signs the parchment.

"Kelthran Parmandil"

And, like that, disappears silently once more into the large crowd of Mali'aheral.

Saeldur would sign the parchment with his meticulously neat hand-writing
