Royal Response To The Adrian Rebellion

Tarcell looks over the Crows training below. The clash of weaponry and the occasional yell of a drill sergeant can be heard from within his quarters when he receives the message. He sighs, putting the scroll down. There will be much blood shed for a just Oren.

Peasants everywhere cower in fear at the might of de Savoie as Nastasiya ducks into an alleyway, watching the King's men run through the streets.

Upon the mention of Vasili, Alister would roll his eyes.

"Unbelievable.  Vasili only raised his banners and rode to war once the Knights Lorraine grabbed and beat his young grand-nephew, Brittanus, drawing Vanaheim into the war.  Such propaganda on the part of the crownlands only serves to lay bare their desperation for all to see."

Branwen had just finished his rocking chair, a crisp creak in its wooden joints as he laid back in it. The two stoic boughs flanking him made him feel almost kingly, like the sides of a proper throne. However, all that bowed before him now was a homely fire and a cooking pot wrought with flakes of iron and a vegetable stew. He had just said farewell to a Marked Man whose name he did not catch and the baron Titus de Sola. It was Titus who proudly laid the decree in his hand and made sure that Branwen knew it was from the King. Branwen blew upon the letter, an unconscious joke made real. He had said that the King must have brushed cobwebs when he awoke and gave command, so to did Branwen wonder if the letter had any cobwebs enmeshed between its folded page. He licked a finger and padded it across the corner to unfold the letter and sat reading.

He scanned the last letter of the response and folded it back up.

"I can't say I will be fauning over this lauded King when he steps out of that coffin of a castle," Branwen commented to himself as he let loose the letter and watched it parachute into the fire across from him. The letter and its ink served as good tinder to keep his fire going.

Camryn finishes the letter while sitting in his home in Vanaheim before turning to his hearth "Do they not see the pointlessness of this war? It might take longer than expected, but victory is assured for coalition. The only thing the fool, who calls himself king, has managed to do is waste lives." Folds the letter up before tossing it into the hearth and uncorking a bottle of mulled wine "Long live the king." He says sarcastically before drinking

August Hightower shakes his head in disappointment, "A king who assassinates his high officials and nobles and raids and butchers the innocent of the towns then calls their remaining kin to lay down arms and swear to a crown which knows no justice and seeks no peace, this is not a nation of righteousness- it is a den of snakes."

Kovir frowns. "Seems like quite a few 'butcherings' occurred for the Adrian people to be a victor in this endeavor."

Ser Orgmar stands atop a hill over looking the far off city of Felsen. He drops his trousers and defecates whilst flipping off Felsen before trudging off. "The Carrot no longer serves The Crown, Ave Vladov, Ave Adria!"

Ser Garahel watches in awe at the glorious legacy of House Vladov. Truly a respectable House.

Roric would hear news of the letter, letting out a laugh at the King's response to this.  "Vhy vould ve just lay down our arms vhen a coward sits upon the throne and our enemies yet remain?  AVE ADRIA, AVE HAENSE, AVE HUGUES SARKOZIC!"

"You're a worse knight than I am, pal, and that's saying something."

The Lord de Sarkozy strolls through the Barony of Maecht as he reads a copy of the document, a Savoyard grin meeting his lips.

"Death to the Rat in the East, Marshal." He says as he walks, his Marshal passing by with a simple nod as he walks.

Around the Baron, however, the levies were already raising. Retinuemen handed out blades and suits of chainmail to Fishermen, Farmers, and all sorts of laborers. Markus couldn't help but continue his smile at the Savoyard patriotism and loyalty of the levymen-- mere commoners now armed in the defense of their Lord, their King, and their Land. Alongside them, other men trained their swordsmanship, others-- their crossbows. Others practiced marching-- perhaps thinking of doing the same as they marched through Brelus, and other trained on the beach, grasping large amounts of iron as for weight training, calisthenics, and sprints and jogs along the coastline.

The Lord comes upon a small grouping of Housecarls, giving a blank look as he speaks to them.

"By the end of this war, this pretender shan't curse my name any longer. Death to the Rat in the East. Death to the Duke in the North who rules over an empty city. Their boasts of victories in simple raids are empty with no land gained. Death to the Fools!"

The Soldiery respond with a loud, clear "Death to these Fools" Before continuing their training. The Banner of the White Eagle flying high in support of Olivier the Just.

Britannus would scoff, tossing the proclamation to the side after reading it.

"I, for one, would like to actually see this grand army on the field, rather than watching conscripts fire arrows down from large stone walls. And Olivier can't actually find Vanaheim's entry into the war surprising, can he? After all, they did capture and beat me, even when we affirmed that we would stay neutral. My uncle did what was just!"

"What use is a king that cant even get off his throne, down with Olivier the Idle, someone who can actually bother to manage a kingdom should be our leader." says Siegemeyer.

"You know necrophilia is a crime. Though I suppose of Adria legalizes banditry it is not a surprise to see they let in your sort." Bryce retorts

"I would suggest winning a few battles before running your mouth. It's incredibly sad when a 16 year old boy can kill the hardened men of Amyas," comments Britannus.
