Hi Guys,

I have been working gradually towards getting all missing features for the forum back and I have noticed there isn't any one repository of hat people want this so here so any missing or wanted features can be asked for here.

Would it be possible to get the old BBcode menu thing back, along with the option to preview your post? The current one isn't as resourceful.

Would it be possible to expand the cover picture thing on profile pictures? It's rather thin and oddly shaped.

And finally, unless this has been fixed, it's not possible to edit a post after a certain amount of time. Would be nice if this could be reverted back to the original thingo.

You seem to have fixed avatar sizes, so I think that's all I have in mind. :)

How did you get your profile picture longer vertically like that? I can only seem to make mine slightly larger, but still square shaped and it doesn't include the entire picture.

 

Also, can you make it so it says "Location: [Insertwhatever]" instead of "Location[Insertwhatever]"? Along with an added space between the : and the responses too, that'd be fantastic.

In the new forums there are new things that work very well, and new things that are pretty annoying. And then there are things which aren't working. I think a list about it saying what is wrong and how to fix it should be better than making a bug report about half of them, and leaving the other half not talked about. This way I leave some feedback to Tythus to try and help him make the forums better. My opinions aren't full truth, but I hope that other players comment and help me on this.

Good things:

• When someone makes a reply and you get the message saying someone made a reply, you click it and it actually works now! (it didn't work for me before)
• Clicking on the "Mark as read" button takes a quarter of a second to happen instead of 2 seconds.
• Easier to choose Color, Font and Size when making a post.
• Linking other threads brings up an image of the thread
• Sound files in threads and replies.
• Far easier to use poll interface (questions in threads).
• Polls are nicer to see now, with bold on the winning answer.
• Forums show more new threads in the side of the forums, and how many replies it already has.
• Edit lines are nicer and easier to check and see.
• Easily place images into a thread.

Bad things:

• Automated double spacing (you have to click Shift+Enter to make single spacing). - Should be in reverse, single spacing automated, double spacing available in another way.
• Can not remake voting choices in threads (Once you cast a vote you can not change the vote). - Allow removal of vote so that a revote can happen.
• Forums does not allow me to remove Quote or Code format. - Other words, I just want the text, not the Quote/Code format, and I can't remove it without taking it to word first. Insert a button or bb code to remove those things.
• No bb code. - It actual was quite useful.
• Spoilers are pretty ugly and take a lot of space. - Before it was a small button saying "spoiler" and a line, now it's a "Reveal hidden contents" huge rectangle.
• Status updates cut off halfway, and you need to head to someone's profile to reply - Like before it was better.
• No search option - Please add a search option.
• Smaller profile pictures - They were better when they were larger than the current small square.

Bugs:

• Can not edit replies and posts from before the forum change, it keeps saying a problem happens.
• Sometimes the percentages of votes counts all answers in all questions instead of only the answers in each question.
• News Section does not allow players to respond to threads.
• Moderation pex are pretty broken or incomplete. (i.e. Lore Masters can't lock or move threads in the Lore section, but for some reason we can pin them and archive them).
• Weird bugs when making a thread (example, copy pasting text over a bulleted list line, removes the bulleted list and the space after and before).
• You can not quote spoilers for some reason.
• If you have your browser open on half a screen, there is no navigation bar so you have to go to full screen to navigate.

 

Most of these are just my opinion though, unless for the bugs.

The format for personal messaging is really bad.

 

I want it back to when I could view all my mail, like in gmail, instead of this new format with a tiny bar that doesn't even bring up the message if I type in the player's forum name. :(

Just give us back the old forums sooner rather then later. Current ones are literally the plague.
