Recently we have been able to hold discussions with this gentleman and we have reason to believe he may very well pull this off, but we've chosen not to mention quite why yet and instead let him show you who he is. Scene21 isn't exactly as much as given authority here as we are providing him with a medium and support necessary to get YouTubers on-board. In the event that he is successful in this endeavour we would be able to assess him higher as a staff member and give him the relevant authority. In reality I must mention, this is the job that potentially any of you could seek out to do if you put in the time and effort into it, and as a staff we will continue to provide our full support to all member-initiative media projects. Sounds good.

I hope that is all there really is to this. I remember the last time a youtuber was given any 'authority' and, well, I can't remember his name, but he was one egotistical motherfucker. I generally trust your opinion on things Telanir and will give it a chance before I shoot it down, but the concept of someone popping around and being given 'any authority' at all has been time and time again a proven mistake on LotC. And lets avoid situations like the Media Team's ol' invis stopping arrows and drawing mobs in wars that would literally screw over one side.

We're not here for ego's we're here for productivity and results. The moment there stop being results and we've got issues coming up we're prepared to pull the plug. But that can be said for any endeavour, I am currently optimistic and hope it won't come to that.

I'll stay strong. For you, Telanir. It's good to hear this. Too many projects on LotC have just...fallen dead and left to rot. It really is good to see the effort and thought the teams are putting into everything right now.

Harri 4815 Share Posted February 15, 2016 Wait wait wait. Monk's aren't able to be attacked at all? Ever? I can understand when they're with a VERY new player and just helping them out - but not ever? If that's the case, that's not a good idea. That /will/ be abused in role-play. Secondly - if you talk to a monk whilst they're teaching a new player and perhaps ask to arrange a combat scenario for the newbie, would that be allowed? Combat RP is rarely taught properly to people and I'd expect the attacker to go a bit easier on the two and give clear and explained emotes, as well as be friendly and helping OOCly. Equinox 245 Share Posted February 15, 2016 This looks fine and all. Only gripe is with the monks being invulnerable. They are not assume Aengelic immortals, so just be like everyone else. Maybe buff them with some sickening health regen, or something else to make them a decent threat if you actually plan on aggressing them. Otherwise, more good things, lets see it in practice. (Hint no it didn't ) Let me properly introduce myself. I am Scene21 aka James, I have actually been in the media department for quite some time now and I do have quite some successful projects under my wing, one of them being a gambling site that I've ran for the past 7 months. I already have a few youtubers ranging from 400-1m subscribers signed to make some videos on the server which should hopefully bring people on the server. I was also informed about an old player, Mog, who actually abused his powers and was generally awful. I can promise you that I am not going to be such a person and that's not my intent. My intention is to at least double the population on the server by any means possible Another thing I am going to get done is minimize the lag at all costs, no matter the price so people can have an amazing experience on the server. Continuing the above I can promise you that a lot of factions will have a lot of new people on the server which they'll be able to recruit and a lot more people joining Lord of the Craft. When it comes to me being new to the server, I'm in fact not and I was here back in Aegis, but not for a long time. See, I have experience in the role-playing field for the past 7 years, ranging from mud, all the way to SAMP and then Starbound. I am not the type of person who lets people down and you will see this with my work.
